I treated my mother to Deadpool & Wolverine today, as we don't do stuff together all that often anymore. She's not a big fan of Deadpool, but I think she enjoyed the movie, she definitely likes Wolverine. I had just as much fun the second time around. I miss these kinds of days, just hanging out, going to get some food or catching a movie together. We really don't do it enough anymore. It's going to be really hard when Logan and I move. I am slowly gearing myself up for it, but I don't think I'll ever really know how hard it will be until we get there. My mom, Liz, Kevin, and the kids, all the rest of my family... It's going to be rough getting used to not being able to see them all the time.
It's been a great weekend, but they always are with Logan. We saw Deadpool & Wolverine on Saturday, and that was amazing. Probably the best Marvel movie to date, purely because Ryan Reynolds gave me my fucking live-action Gambit with Channing Tatum. It's all I've wanted since I first heard they actually signed off on the idea, like, 10 years ago. Gambit is my favorite of all the X-men, and of most Marvel characters in general. So seeing him live (and not portrayed as garbage), man, perfection. Also, the opening credits scene, genius. So yeah, if you haven't seen it yet, I cannot recommend watching it enough. So good. Sunday was just spent at home, we spent some time out in the pool, which was so nice. Drinks, music, sunshine, and cool water. And then there was House of the Dragon, which is still great but still disappointing. But now we have more dragons, yay! My Stevie Nicks Barbie came in two weeks ago, but I only got to open her on Friday, she's perfect. I don't think she really looks like Stevie, but I'm not disappointed in it. I'm happy to have her.

I can't wait to go see it! We've been so busy we've not had the chance.
As far as the Barbie goes... They tried, right? lol
I've started watching "Dirty Pop: The Boy Band Scam" on Netflix. Being a young girl in the '90s and early 2000's, when the Backstreet Boys and N*Sync were really big, it hits close to home. I loved both groups. But this goes into the issues with the creator of both groups, Lou Pearlman. I've learned a bit of the issues with Lou Pearlman over the years, it's always been a curiosity to me, but this really goes into it. I gotta say, if you were a fan of them and have no idea how things were behind the scenes, it's a good watch. However, this does mean I'm going to be busting open my Spotify and creating a playlist full of my favorite BSB and N*Sync songs now, because man, the music brings me back.
Bad Boys: Ride or Die is insanely stupid, but also so much fun. I love how they ditched being so serious with the franchise, it's made these last two movies such fun to watch.
Well, things didn't go according to my plan, but that's okay. I honestly think it's better that it didn't. I'd kick myself if I ever allowed certain people in my home. It's not worth the hassle that would inevitably come with it.
Anywhoo, I just have to get through this week, then it's a weekend with mi amor, full of love and kittens. You know they're the one when they become your peace. 🖤
I adore House of the Dragon, but I feel like they've lied to us about this season. It was supposed to be more dragons, but there has only really been one dance of the dragons, and it was very short. Don't get me wrong, I love a dialog driven show, and this one is very well writen and has great dialog, but darn it... I want dragon fights!

Talk talk....YAY DRAGONS.....talk talk
Haha, exactly!
There are few things I haven't been able to do, despite having been able to grow up and live in Southern California all my life. But, there are a few things that I'd like to get to before I move out of the state next year. The biggest being going to the Griffith Observatory, as I've never been there before. It's surprising, given my interest in Astronomy, but a sad reality. I've told Logan that I'd like to go when it starts to cool down a bit, so many September or October. I just want to get some pretty pictures of the sunset and LA. I have also wanted to go to the Magic Castle. It's a private club for Magicians, and is by invitation only. So, you can't just call and get a seat, you have to know people and get invited. Logan knows people, because of course he does. So, I've asked if he could maybe get in touch with some of them and get us an invite. You can also get tickets if you stay a certain amount of days at their hotel, but that's like, $200+ a night and I think you need to stay there at least two nights, which is expensive and not worth it if Logan can get two invites from friends instead. I'd also love to be able to go to Club 33 at Disneyland. Logan, again, knows someone who has a membership and can get us the reservation. It's just hard to manage that one because Disneyland is so expensive as it is, and then it's a $100+ per person meal. But, yeah, I've wanted to get into Club 33 since I was a kid.
Hopefully we'll be able to manage these things before the move. It's a little sad that as a native Southern Californian, I've never done these things. Granted, the Magic Castle and Club 33 aren't easy to get into, but at the very least, I should have been to the Observatory by now.
You know what you can do if someone's bothering you here on VR? You can block them. It's this nifty little feature that will ensure that said member who is annoying you cannot contact you directly. Although, it is true that blocking will only do so much, you can also chose to ignore said member as well, like an adult. You don't have to interact with them or anything they do. Utilize your blocks and learn that you only have control over yourself and how you allow things to affect you. You don't have to deal with the "childish bullshit" if you don't want to. It's pretty simple.

Nope. I don't give a shit about your petty bullshit. This is just a general statement, not an invitation to spew your nonsense.
Clearly, I have missed something. lol.
Yes, blocking someone is the thing to do if they are bothering you. It really is that simple. I myself absolutely will utilize the block feature if someone is becoming more than I wish to deal with.
Ignore the theatrics, I do not do drama Move on
I get three weekends in a row with Logan, staring next weekend. It's going to be so nice, ending on my birthday weekend. I've never been able to spend my actual birthday with him yet, as it's always fallen on a weekday, so that'll be really nice.
Some people will truly never change, and I find that sad. One shouldn't be so afraid of growth and maturity. Change is good, growing as a person is good. You shouldn't want to be the same person you were a year ago, five years ago; you should constantly be striving to better yourself as a person.
I still vote we tear it all down and start again fresh. Especially now, with things going the way they are...
Someone was killed outside of the RNC. And I feel like there are more to come. Everyone's on edge, things are more divisive now than they have been for as long as I can remember. It isn't okay. The system is severely broken, and no amount of voting for the "right" people is going to fix it. We need to start over.
I finally made it happen - Logan got to meet Tommy today. I've been wanting them to meet for ages, but with things as they are, it hasn't worked out. But, I found out Tommy was doing some readings at his work, so Logan and I went and I had Tommy give him a reading. Tommy reads Norse runes, and he's really good at it. So, yeah, we went today and they got to meet and I got to see him, even if it was for a short time. It just makes me so happy that the love of my life finally got to meet my best friend since I was like, 12 years old. Hopefully we'll be able to get together outside of Tommy's workplace and hang out properly before we move.
How do you blow it that bad? You had one opertunity, and you fucked it up.
You know, it's the best feeling in the world to wake up next to someone who loves you and a kitten. ❤️
I miss this when we aren't together, and I hate that I only get it for two days every other week right now. But, I'm hopeful that come the end of the year, we'll actually be living together.

I would be telling them you want your bill comped for the time frame you have been with out internet. Spectrum (which is what I have) does that.
I know it's still two years away, but I joined all these alternative wedding groups on Facebook, and man, I'm getting so many good ideas for things we could incorporate into our wedding. I think it's good to have a solid idea right from the get go, so that when we do start booking all the things, we know exactly what we want. So, research, you know? Plus, it's really fun to see all the beautiful couples and their pictures.
Who has the best fiancé in the whole world?
Me. It's me. Mattel re-released their Stevie Nicks Barbie that sold out pretty much immediately last year, today. So what does Logan do? He buys it for me. Because he's the best. I should have it this weekend. I'm not a collector, or really much of a fan, of Barbie, but I had to have the Stevie Nicks one. And now I will because Logan is the best.
Logan and I were invited to his ex's wedding in November. It's a formal/gothic dress code, so I've been looking at clothing that night fit the bill, since I don't really have a lot of nice formal dresses I could wear. I cannot state how much I hate shopping for clothing, on every level. I'm fine with jeans and a t-shirt or niceish top and sneakers. But, this will probably be the first time I'm going to be meeting his ex, and it is her wedding, so I want to look nice and make a good first impression. I'm hoping that as we get closer to autumn and Halloween, more places will have clothing more fitting for that season. Right now, it's all maxi and summer dresses in bright clorors. Lovely in their own right, but not what I'm looking for.

I've always thought a person's diet should always and whenever possible be hand free. Cannibalism is mostly regarded as a bad move. I mean, if I were ever to try it, I suppose hands would the perfect finger food. To each their own.
Seriously though, it's true a song can hold various meanings, rare but very possible. Makes that song particularly powerful.
Lol. Slain
That group has some great music.
Summer is not for me, especially living in SoCal. I just took a look at the forecast and it's going to be in the triple digits through next Saturday. I'd say it would be cooler out at Logan's next weekend, but that's a lie. The Valley gets just as hot as the IE. At least here, unlike when we move to Texas, it's a dry heat with very little humidity. But even so, I'm over this. Can we have winter back already?
I don't get people who can be all, "Happy fourth, God bless America!" Like, you see the state this country is in, right? In more than half the country women are dying because their rights to make a medical decision for themselves has been stripped away, our democratic republic is crumbling around us, we have two geriatric presidential candidates, one wants to be a dictator and supports neo-Nazis, the separation of Church and State has flown right out the goddamn window., the highest court in the land can apparently be bought.. Yeah, God bless America... Forgive me for my lack of pride to be an American, especially today.
COMMENTS
Yet America is for the people of this world not the political caos around us. For those fought for what freedoms we believe we have or should. Those less fortunate but still salute the flag and respect their friends. Sorry
I don't know. If you're capable of separating things to celebrate the birth of a nation, all the power to you. I look around at the state of things, and I just can't. As a woman, in over half the country, I have less bodily autonomy than a corpse. I just don't understand how people can still sit here, proud of what America has become. Maybe that's just me, maybe I'm just horribly jaded and cynical, but it's how I personally feel about all of it. You can feel differently, it's not like I'm saying you're wrong for doing so, I just don't understand it.
Go to other countries and you may see why. Where individuals do not have any rights.
If the accusations of sexual assault against Neil Gaiman turn out to be true, I don't know how I'm going to feel. The sources who originally reported the claims aren't at all reputable, but I can't be like, "the woman are liars," just because it's alligations against someone I've admired for years. I guess only time will tell. I just hope it isn't true, because it would be absolutely devistating to find out that my favorite author is, in fact, a gross preditor.
I think what I'm looking forward to most about the move to Texas is the peace and quiet. We'll be on a few hundred acres, away from big cities and loads of people, and I just want that. I cannot wait. It's July and I live in a city where fireworks are legal, so of course I'm hearing them go off until all hours of the night, regardless of what day it is. It's like this most of June and pretty much all of July, and I gotta tell ya, it gets super fucking annoying. But man, the peace will be so nice.
It's all cyclical.
It's been a horribly lazy Sunday. Lots of naps and resting. But, that's what 95+ degree weather does to me, drains me of any energy I have. I want auntum, winter back, those cooler temperatures, crisp, chill breezes, overcast skies.
