My day in pictures. :)
Before work-
So I was using my 200 lens on these and notice it was dragging a little on the auto focus. I took a few shoots in the office to try and get it to loosen up a little- my office, dusty as it is.
Fan was running when I took this... got to love my D40. :D
Not the best day to take pictures- cloudy with rain off and on- I went to the oldest building in town. This private collage opened in 1897 and closed the doors in 1997. Today it is used very little; there is a public library there. Own by United Methodist Church it is still being kept up, but the six buildings are slowly falling apart.
Here is my attempt at recording a little of its history. On a personal note- really need to put the tripod in my trunk. Say it with me… tripod is my friend…tripod is my friend.

I have so many memories from this place. Good memories. Thanks for the stroll down that lane. How did you get into some of these rooms??
I ...uh... I open a door? Got caught in one building, but they was cool. I lied that I had just gotten there.
(shifty eyes)
Better start saving bail money...
That looks like an amazing place to go. I like your attention to detail. You spot things like the light without a bulb.
You've depicted texture so well here, I love that. It feels like if you were in front of the prints, you could run your hands over them and feel the ridges.
I love the views you've caught but I hate seeing these beautiful buildings being allowed to fall apart.
Lord, I miss the south. Buildings like this are few and far between up here where I am. And I agree- it's a shame they are letting the building go, but it did make for some gorgeous pictures....You got the eye sugar...great work.
Very beautiful pictures - almost felt as if I was there! Wonderful angles, and I especially liked how the overgrowth on the outside of the building(s) was just as much of a focus as everything else.
Thanks guys. :) If I ever get the F spot understood... poor Birra gets to answer all my stupid questions. lol He has the same camera I do.
And Otter... bless her soul. She is always read to help me try to understand how to take a good picture.
Makeup Look- Black, gray, brown and a touch of silver. Foundation is MUFE. Lipstick a red/wine color. Sort of a Adam Lambert look. lol

Really nice in black and white.

Love this WOW!
a job well done from me xXx
WOW!!! WOW wow!!!
This is amazing! You should be working for a movie studio doing makeup!!!
Thanks guys. :) The eyes are off a little as I am trying to learn how to photoshop them in. I also colored outside the lines as a kid. lol
The lips I am not happy with but the rest... not bad at all. If only I had someplace to wear the look this Halloween. :)
I dig it. You shouls come to one of my birthday/zombie parties. =)
The hot sauce one is my favorite. It made me smile. And a smile is highly appreciated at this time. haha... love these!
I will never look at you the same again ....lol, scary.
Yanno, if I had your Talent, I'd start a side Venture doing make-up for weddings, holidays, and the likes.
Some of the top artists here in L.A. were self-taught.
I have two people on Youtube that I follow extensively that give great make-up and skin tutorials....thought you'd like them maybe?...I've learned so much...

Thanks KattrinaK :) I already watch them, and many many more on youtube. Great place to 'see' it in action.
Thank you for the links tho.
except for a few people on here you may discover you're starving to death, Ob 's says his bald little head is like a empty bowl with one peanut in it.
Lady that would so be my clue to go over to him, stand behind him and rub that bald head, moaning I want a brain! Or do the brain sucking sound. LOL
;)
WOW WOW WOW!!! I need to have you do my make up
Very well done! Read the comments as well. Suggestion for the lips (I assisted in a zombie flick years back) is mix a deep purple with the red. You don't want it to be super obvious, but you want to bring out some blue tones to make the lips seem bloodless - a bit of dark purple or maybe even grey powder mixed with lipstick should do the trick.
Again, fantastic job!
DAMN!
The girl ain't right.
Woke up early this morning. Well...early for the weekend. ;) Went up to the World Chicken Fest to take a few pictures of the rides. Kind of creepy in a way.
COMMENTS
Some of those rides may have alarmed me as a child. Glad you had fun, though!
You're right, they do look kind of creepy.
...
I notice, dear Rat, there is a distinct lack of funnel-cakiness in this entry. =/
*cry*
:( I sorry. But it was before 8:00 am, the booths did not open till 10:00 am.
And I had other plans for the day.
Nice Chica!
I see you got a photo of me in there with my Mighty Mouseness going on there.
You'd have to pardon me, I didn't have my dentures in yet.
pardon me everyone...if you need me, i'll be on the Rides.
:)
Makeup look- Black, gold and orange mask. :)

Your makeup is amazing. :o Love it!
The make up and photography is breath taking. I wish I was photogenic.
OOOhhh I like this.
Makeup look- Peacock mask. The pictures never did work out, and it was too much blue, not enough purple I think. One I will have to revist some day. :)

The fourth one is my absolute favorite. It really shows the colors. ;)
Btw- I'd kill to have you do my makeup for photoshoots someday. *grin*
I SO love the colors!! Very beautiful. Your eyes alone have such awesome flecks in them. The fourth one down I love too!!!
The last one is absolutely delicious, sugar- you have the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen- and Scott said so too.
I totally agree I love the 4th picture

The bottom one is my favorite, stunning!
Very lovely
I have a wedding *GASP* to work in a couple of weeks.
It is going to have a peacock theme- something tells me I would have loved to have you here to do my makeup for work- and you would have made a fortune doing the makeup for the bridal party...

It was lovely before the monsoon hit! dang it lol
so beautiful
I like the way you captured the rays :)
amazing shots
Clouds where so different yesterday, shapes and shades of the sunset. While all sunsets are great, ones with these kinds of clouds are stunning to me. Like artwork.
I am also trying to learn the reflection off water to get a good picture this Fall of the leaves on the lake, ponds. :)
Took having the police called on me but here they are- Sunset.
COMMENTS
Wow , Beautiful , hope mine turn out that good when I get the film developed.
Make Up- Witch with Hat. :) So ready for Halloween.
COMMENTS
I have sweet fuck-all skill with make up. I am luck I don't blind myself with the mascara wand.
Rockin' the green, sweet!
Wow, thats nice. work.
I love green eye shadow but think it looks so much better on brown eyes rather than my blue.
Is that the same green you put on me???
Could be puppy- I have lots of green. I know one shade (there is four there) is one I used on Cat.
Blue eyes? You should try some brown, gray, purple shades. Black would make them pop also. Stay away from blue as it will just wash your eye color out. :)
I like the way that green fades.. and these razor sharp eyelashes hovering up above. It's amazing!
Thanks you michen. :)
Lovely work.
Desperately waiting for the Halloween Shoppe to open here so that I can get the proper eyebrow waxes, bases to do myself up for the Holiday. :)
Ooh thank you for the blue eyed tip! :)
Make Up Look: Spider Web. This comes from a youtube video by a member name goldiestarling. She has some wicked Halloween videos, this from a year or so back. If you want to see how this is done- I used the steps she did for the most part.
COMMENTS
I love those eyelashes! You really provide wonderful tips and your makeup always looks smashing..
Wow! Absolutely love it :)
My 5 year old is standing behing me going "Ohhhhhh look how pretty - mama can I do my face like that for Halloween???"
Very very cool.
Ahhh that is cute. :) It only takes white eyeliner, white eyeshadow, and black liner and eyeshadow. And a good steady hand, which I don't have. lol
The lashes I got last year after Halloween when they was half price. Think like 2.00 dollars. Right now most drug stores have funky eyelashed in for the Halloween season. I got three or four pairs Friday night. They do mark them down after Halloween tho and I wait for the wilder ones then, just not willing to pay full price for yellow and black lashes...but I will pay a buck or two.
Those lashes are definitely badass.
I can never manage to get faux eyelashes on right, no matter what tips and tricks I follow. You certainly have talent.
You are always suprising us with your artistic talent. :-)
That works great on your cheekbones. I like the way you shaded and highlighted it.
The lady who video I used to do this look is an artist with a makeup brush, as well as a paint brush. She is really good to show you how to shadow, highlight as she does with her paintings.
:)
You should see the full mask she does with makeup... the woman has skill, talent.
Makeup look: Carol Burnett Show’s Norma Desmond is the inspiration of this look.
COMMENTS
You had a tough crowd there...but the show was great! LOVE the feathers!
Love it!!! lol
You are a total nut! lol
If Carol Burnett is the lady with the neat voice in the Alice in Wonderland starring Red Buttons as well, then I sort of know who she is.
Sort of.
Images of the day...
