Let me share some of my favorite things (One of which is The Sound of Music.)

I am a huge fan of the medieval time period and the stories that abound about it. King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, Merlin, Avalon, and dragons are all things that spark my imagination.

I really like to read books from this time period. Even my bedroom has dragons, fairies and a knight or two.

I love most things fantasy oriented….including sci-fi. I grew up on Star Trek, Lost in Space, and, yes Star Wars, they made a huge impact on my youth. The ideas that we were not alone and that maybe we had a future where everyone was equal – in space – was just amazing to me. It still is actually.

I LOVE to read (in case you didn’t pick that up already). Some of my favorite authors include: Nora Roberts, Tanya Huff; Christine Feehan; and Laurell K. Hamilton. These are a very few of modern writers that I enjoy. I have an English major in undergrad, thus the classic literature is always a joy as well.

Sunsets or moon rises on the water are my favorite ways to enjoy nature. But sunsets on the hills of Kentucky are pretty darn good as well. I love to go fishing and boating, mostly the boating. There is nothing better than being out on the water, the sun shining down and the breeze in my hair. Sigh……I can feel it now.

I also do Civil War Reenacting. This year will be my 22nd year. Wow..getting to be an old hand at it now. Do you like the picture that I took?

I am a huge supporter of the armed forces. Regardless of political viewpoints, supporting them as people, OUR people, is paramount.

Well as things come up, I may add more, but I think for now…..you know that when I “think of a few of my favorite things, I don’t feel so bad..” (Sound of Music)
