I guess I could try to be mysterious about who I am and what I'm doing here but honestly, why bother? You either accept me as I am or you don't and nothing I can say or do will change your mind for you.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not critizing any of the vampires on screen or in books. I enjoyed Buffy and Angel even if Spike was my favorite. I've read the whole Twilight series and saw the movies too. I also watch and read as many of the "modern" vampire series as I can afford to buy.
I've read Dracula by Stoker and saw the movie version in many different incarnations since the 50's and you'll never improve it but that doesn't mean new writers cannot expand on it even to the point of taking their vampires in a whole new light. Vampires as aliens, demons, fallen angels and even other species of humans and all I can say is oh boy is it fun to try and keep up with them all.
The first boogeyman of my childhood was Bela Lugosi and he did a great job of scaring me into loving vampires, I still do and so explains my presence here on Vampire Rave.
I try to be kind to others but there are always a few that just won't let you so I tend to cut off or avoid those folks.
