I was informed this morning of a broken link to a tag on the House Main page. I message Moonie to get the code, asking just for the picture as I needed to save the tags onto my own server. This way she would not be tied down to them. Heck- I see she has some items in the House storage but... so not touching that stuff. lol
She sent me the Welcome tag, and the two other tags on the House page.

5:45 am - It did not snow. Rain- yes, snow nope. Not a freaking white snowflake in the sky. So the large 8 apartments that we was to start moving these next two days, in a town 60 miles away, we leave at 7:00 am.
No schools canceled, but the snow is on the way. Watch it start snowing right when we get to the town, have to turn around and come back. Or run into ice and have to leave the trucks, come back stacked like clowns in my car that has 4 wheel drive.
So I reset the alarm and went back to sleep for a extra 30 mins.
Sis just called- the lady who is in charge of the repairs to the apartments called. It was snowing already, had about a inch. Was we coming? because she was alright with putting it off.
Seems we are the only freaking town where the snow is not. As of this time- but it is coming toward us, radar shows
So- SNOW DAY!

Anyone else watching PBS Masterpiece show called Downton Abbey? My sister turned me onto it, and I am loving it.
The clothing, the castle it is filmed at, the time from of 1912. You get to see the Lord and Lady, and the servants life as the world changed around them. I mean- the show is about woman getting the vote, the typewriter that changed a womens life as they could get jobs, clothing style- bras instead of corsets.
If they knew they had to move by the first, it was their prerogative to ensure they had everything all set prior to that- like at least a few weeks in advance.

Time for bed. Hope I can sleep tonight. Same strange dreams of late- this time snakes got added. I am in a pit with them and for some reason I can't move. The snakes bite at me, face, legs, arms, all over. For the last two nights woke up in a panic as the snakes get in my mouth and I can't stop them from going down my throat. And if you knew how afraid of snakes I am.... not sleeping well at all.
Yeah- snakes, means sex. But I have drowned, died in a car wreck, fire. All the dreams are of death. Now adding fear into the mix. WTH?
Snow is coming so that means store for me at some point Tue for Mom, sis, brother and myself. Sure a trip to the drug store too.
But at least I almost have the taxes prep to where I can work on those at home. I can at least log the checks out.
Had a rental try to get out of his 6 month lease. After 4 months. Then get bitchy with me... his little "Can't we work something out?" "Sure- it is known as two months of rent." ass hole. Such a prick. Soooo worried about mold, the dust in the carpet. We went in to replace the closet doors with better fold out ones and the house was a mess. So freaking worried and you let your baby diaper lay on the floor in the bathroom, dirty?
Love people... I swear I want to live on a inland. With a boat I can use to go visit people when I want to. I am going to be that old lady in the house, window draped always closed, not answering her door or phone. Only comes out for food.
Scott and I have decided that when and if we win the lottery, we are building a compound of cabins up in the mountains with one road that has a fuckin GATE on it. We get the big house, and I'll hand out the others to people like you who needs AWAY.
Silverbow is our AHM. Yeap- I have been thinking about this since a person I trust drop her name into my mind.
I have worked with Silverbow for a long time in the Sentoran group. She is fair, a well rounded person, and I think she is able to help the House become a home for its members.

Today is housework day. Laundry, kitchen with two sinks of dirty dishes, bathrooms. And 6 or 7 loads of laundry.
The couple at the nice romantic restaurant, candles burning as the man pours a glass of champagne. As he puts the bottle back into the ice bucket he turns to see her swallow the whole glass down in one gulp… engagement ring and all.

Hint- if she drinks like a sailor, don’t put the ring in a glass.
But it would be funny, waiting for that ring to show again.

Office move went well- only left maybe 30 boxes for them to move. Yes- I said them. They had to be open by Monday and the snow was coming. So I had all the furniture, files cabinets moved today. The items left are boxes and they have large SUV and 4by4 trucks. They can finish it Friday if they have to as it started snowing before we ever got home.
Hot shower, some pain killers, dinner.. to only throw it up. Seems the pizza I order in for our lunch at the job site- did not set well.
Fell like crap, so I am going to bed.
Or it could be the dreams I have had of late. They have been.... strange. And not in a good way.
Poor Rat. I come down and take care of you soon...lol

Only had a second to look at the new House Crest Moonie made us this morning, but WOW.
That woman has mad skills.
The first day of the three day office move is going well- at the point I was aiming for- half the offices down. Still got the rest, then the other building to start Friday.
And now it is 7:00 pm and I can't keep my eyes open. Gotten so sleepy after dinner with Birdy, hot shower and my back easing off with a pain killer.
Ok- sleep for me. Sure I will be up around 3:00 am, but can't keep my eyes open.

Here I am, miles away, and I have lovely images of your father, his tractor, his modest generosity, a daughter he raised beautifully, and a life I never encountered, yet am richer for the telling. So I used a link Joli showed me and asked about the old school building I kind of broke the law to get into. It was in such bad shape, but I wanted to know more about the place.
Seems the topic was answer by the Mayor of the city. Seems he wanted to know why I was asking about it. I told him I like taking photos of old schools.
Long story- got off the phone with him about a hour ago. He wants me to take some photos for the grant they are going for to try and save the building.
I didn't have the heart to tell him I had been inside, had already taken the pictures I wanted.
We are to meet up when it warms up, weather wise, and he is taking me into the building, staying as long as I need to stay. Makes me wonder if he has not been up there in a while.
I sent him some of my pictures of other places (be rude to send him pictures of that school) and he loved the detail shots I showed. Enough to call me back even. o.O After talking a while he said he could see how photos might help put a face on a place, show the money people that the place is worth saving.
Like I said- has he been up on the hill in a while? O.o
But I can go back in, I know the places that are the shots he is talking about, with more then one len and a tripod. I can get the shots he wants. Just have to act like I never been there before. Be ashame to tell the Mayor I broke in before. O.o
But I so want to try and help him, and the old school if I can. I will put a 'face' on the building for him, try my best to tell the story the building told me a few weeks ago. Just take some time, no rush, and think out the shots now that I am going back.

Out early this morning to give the key over, sign the lease for the youth Minster that rented the house. He was over a hour late. o.O But as the UHaul broke down I understood.
Out to a nice early lunch with Cat for her B/D that is next week, we went to see Season of the Witch, then my home for movies. :)
Cage is starting to show his age a little, not that it is a bad thing. Grrrr... mmm.
I want to talk about other things but my "VR' life is different now. Just know I do what I think is right, as I do in life. Still me. Guess things change, life moves on, even online life.

Spent some time with Birdy for the wedding make-up look. About got the eye shadow layout down, might still need to work on the color. Powder foundation, pink blush that is only on the apple of her cheek, and no liner. More of a hot pink on the lips.
I think with the ivory, deep purple, yellow? trim on the wedding dress and veil the colors we started with is a nice place to grow from. :)
She wants a nude, but not nude look. AKA- the hardest look to do make up wise. lol But she has to understand that photos will wash her out, she has to have some color.
Then it was online to look at the websites for pictures of the wedding. *sigh* Lots of money.
Guess I should of spent more time taking pictures of people, not old rotten forgotten buildings. Shame I can't help her but really... I don't like taking pictures of people. I never have. And a wedding? Oh hell no. Add it being Birdy's wedding? Oh fuck no. lol
But we talked, picked the one for her to call, see what kind of deal she can work out. Offer to go with her during this meeting. The one we picked signs over the copy right, hands over all prints. In the long run I think that alone would save her money.
One more make-up run and she should be set on that part at least. I offered to do her Maid of Honor- her cousin. I guess she I will have to do on the fly, as she lives out of town. And I have never seen her in make-up.

Just mix the stove top dressing with some canned tomatoes. Bake it under the chicken with some mozzarella cheese on top. Cheap, rather easy, and pretty durn tasty. :D
To the ladies out there who have had a child- which one is right. When your water breaks- does it gush out of you like some shows show (Just watched it on TV- like a dam broke) or is it more like "Woman shocked look, hand on her belly as she screams her water broke" with no mess at all?
Which one is it in real life?
I know it is a silly question but I have never been around a woman when it happen and I always wonder about it.

when my daughter's water broke, it was more like a small spalsh at first, then she only wore a towel and a tampax, and it was like drops constantly with each contractions, my water the doc broke, each time and it was just a small splash, not like on movies, more like peeing but with no pressure sort of. Had 3 kids and assist my daughter and it was the same each time.
I was "dribbling" for a few hours before I noticed it could possibly be my water breaking. At first I thought I was just trickling urine on myself because at that point I had lost any and all capability to control my bladder.
After my contractions began to intensify, the spritz become much more evident. The OB later confirmed that my water was, indeed, leaking.
Honestly, when I was 8 months with baby Duckie, my mugus plug came out first (kind of a small amount of mucus that comes out before your water breaks) and I was in the doctors office getting checked and thought I had peed myself. It was about the same amount of liquid as if you drank a lot of water and had to really pee. I'd say no more than... a little over have a quarter of a gallon. Imagine filling up a quarter gallon milk container, pour out maybe a little more than half- that was what I experienced. I was standing and slipped in it. It literally felt like I peed, I even asked the doctor if I had, lol, she went "Uhh.. no your water just broke."
No gushing (like if you turned on a faucet) no squirting out, just imagine peeing... And it's coming out of a different part of your.. Anatomy. Close, but not the same. :)
They had to break mine for me- I had been walking the floor around the delivery room for 5 hours. Then the guy came in to put my epifural in, I napped for an hour oe so, and then the midwife cam in and said it was time to push. She stuck a hook up there (you asked) and popped me like a balloon. But I can honestly say, like the others it was more like I had just peed on myself than anything else.
For me it was similair to NM's when I lost my mucus plug ** mind you this was on superbowl sunday** hehe. But I diodnt go into labor, when I was finally admitted a month later they had to induce me and I had a c section so I have no idea.
Now my gf on the other hand we were standing in line at the grocery store and her water broke, and it was much more then just a trickle of fluid.
She was like, I think my water just broke I look down to see her standing in a puddle, and she was wear summer dress so no pants to absorb it. Next we hear clean up at register 3 over the speakers.
It was a little different with each of my kids and I've had 5. Sometimes it's gushy, sometimes a trickle.

Thinking of Dad today, as I look out at the snow. When I was 19 or so, Dad was trap on top of the Jellico Mountain at the Tennessee line. Kentucky for the first time in my lifetime shut down Interstate 75. At that time there was no way to turn the traffic around so those unlucky ones who was right at the state line was stop by the police, Ky. National Guard. We had no idea where he was- way before cell phones. Mom just knew he was trying to get home but would stop if the snow/ weather got to bad.
He was 41 miles from home. He sat all night, warm in his tractor of course. He had snack food, water. So he settled down for the wait. The way he told it about 11:00 pm he was woken by a knock on his door. It was an older man and woman who said there car had run out of fuel and they just could not handle the cold.
Dad got out, told them to get in his truck as he had room. Both of them had to help the woman up the ladder (trust me- it takes practice to get good at those) and the man climb in after her. Dad went back around to the driver side and turned the heat up so they could get warm. The man had not even though about running out of fuel, and he was sorry to bother Dad.
Dad would smile about there, saying such a simple thing as letting the woman sleep in the sleeper, and he and the man sat in the seats, talking most of the night away. They stayed with him, sharing his food and water, till the traffic started to move. Dad would not move and once the police came to him to see why he was blocking the road he informed them the man and woman had run out of fuel, and their car was behind him. He stayed till he was assured they would get fuel, help starting their car. The man tried to pay Dad but he said he would not take any. He offered to buy Dad a nice dinner as they had been on the mountain top for over 24 hours but Dad said he just wanted to get home.
They said their good byes and Dad drove into his home town, calling me to come out and get him at the truck stop as our location is on a hill. You come to us- it is a hill. He was not going to fight it so I went out in my 4 wheel drive truck to bring him home. I knew he was sleepy as he let me drive us back home.
He only told us of this event that he had helped a couple who car ran out of gas overnight. Never made a big deal out of it at all, we never really asked about it as he just said it in passing.
Till about a month later. Seems the man owned a meat company in Kansas. The foam dry iced packed box was full of thick steaks, all kind of cuts. The note the man wrote was a thank you for helping him and his wife. And that he and his wife hoped him and his family would have a great meal on them. He had gotten the company name off Dad’s trailer it seems.
Have to say I did get up after a hour or so, shower, sat all day waiting for the man to show for the rental house...who did not show. Or the truck that was to of been here.
Cooked all day tho- BBQ ribs in the dutch oven... Mmmmm.
If you are referencing a journal entry made by a person who's membership solely lies in pointing out everything he sees that's wrong in people???... I wouldn't worry about it. His major flaw is beyond apparent. We don't need to point it out, he does well-enough on his own.

Every get a chance to try the dry spice mix from McCormick for Apple and Sage Pork Chops.... do it. Apples, apple juice, onions, brown suger with the spices. Mmmm best dinner I have had in a while.
You only have to buy the mix once, use your own spices after that. And man... this is some good stuff. Can't wait to try it on chicken.
I read this a few weeks ago “Look back in time, not forward.” It has stayed with me and then it hit me… that is what I have been doing.
I look back when times was easier, when the family was together, when we would meet up for dinner. When Dad and I would go out to eat in the early morning before work, or just getting off work.
When it did not take a scanner, laptop and over an hour to send a bill online when it only took half an hour to type it. When it was claims that made sense- not the “That end table cost me $950.00 and now it has a scratch on the leg.” when I want to roll my eyes anyone would pay that much for it.
I look back on the times that I wanted to do my job, when I liked the challenges of the day. When people in general just did not piss me off. When I took people at their word instead of asking for it in writing.
Maybe it is age, looking back on simpler times.
*shrugs*
Maybe I should remember to "Look forward, not backward."
*Flies in and huggles the rat*One of the best things about looking back, is all that you learn from the past. You learn what makes you happy and what gets on your nerves. You learn what is important to you and what you can do without.
So, look ahead, but there is no rule that says that you can't attempt to recreate some of the simple things, that meant so much to you, way back when.
and remember, you are the WHOLE picture. Look back to the posts where you encourage us, shre your fears, your triumphs and exciting adventures. I, personally, have cried at your loss and cheered your moxxy. Would that simpler you climb into old buildings for the reasons you do? Would she capture the same images? You are YOU and te only you that I care to know today. Know that you are well loved, even by people who haven,t yet had the pleasure of meeting you.

Home after a few hours in the snow. I woke up around 5:30 this morning to pee, looking outside and finding no snow. So I went back to bed till the alarm went off. Walked outside to snow. Snow already covering the road.
I drove to work and called my sister, asking if the two men who was to go with me to the hospital had called in. "No. Why?" She said she took the dog out about 45 mins ago and there had been no snow.
They both came in, each saying it seemed to just have started. A few hours work, doing what had to be done, and home we all went.
Between showing the rental home, and sister having her "What happen to the list of fuel surcharge?" "Why is the last sheet of inventory still in the copier? Hello... we will be hunting for this in a few months." "I need you to check these numbers for me." etc.
Her cussing the goverment's online billing site, having to answer the phone, signing a lease on a apartment.... I am worn out.
Thank god Friday should be slow as cold weather is coming in, hoping for snow. Just a small job at the hospital to pick up some computers systems they are returning to the malf, then a short trip to the rental house for a trash removal of building scraps, stop at Maytag shop for some drip trays for a stove... and home for me.
But we have gotten four bills out in the last two days so... yeah. My cargo insurance downpayment is covered. :)
Worry off my mind.
And plan to spend the alone time at home, working on some things online. Sitting on the couch, cook a nice meal for myself, have some hot cider with rum....
I is having a cup o that cider even as I type- only mine has Grand Marnier in it :)

The music youth minster is driving me freaking nuts. I sent pictures, the pastor came and looked at the house. And still he is "What if I don't like it? Can I change the color of the walls? Can I get high speed internet? What does the phone cost?"
Dude- I know you are 25. I know this is the first time away from your Mommy tit but really- grow some fucking balls, drive the 6 hours down and look at the house.
Told him I have done as much as I could for him, call the phone company, cable company for that info... and I expect the deposit to hold the house or I will move onto another application. And NO- you don't get the deposit back two weeks later when you show up and not like it. Have a little faith that god sent you to me.
Grrrrr... whinney ass kid. It is renting a house, not buying it so you can't change it all the ways you want. Nor can you look to me to wipe your ass.
I swear.... I can see it now, a few months from now... a TV News announcer standing in front of our house, talking about the local youth minster caught with porn site online.

Anyway- wanted to show the bathroom off. :D Took us a long time but finally got the kitchen, Dining room floor fixed, new french doors in, and bathroom redone.
Closet on the left is huge. I so want this bathroom...
Cabinets were custome made, matching the kitchen ones. between the two cabinets is plenty of room for a chair in front of the window, put makeup on.
Abby, Puppy- you guys are the kind of rentals I just can't find.... I get assholes it seems. But we wait, we show... or more like I show, and show, and show... all weekend. But that is alright- you have to find someone who will not ruin all the hard work.
:) Cat will tell you when there was three State Cops who lived here that the bathroom was small. As in like I had to step almost into the tub to get the door to close. About 1/4 the size it is now.
Dangit. I dream of bathrooms like that. I think I should seriously job-shop in your area. The food, the area, and possibly a rental like this....hellyeah!
Move here. 3 Bedroom, living, din, family room, kit with ref/stove/dishwasher. Patio in back off the din room (french doors) 1 bath,and a family room. And a two car garage with stg shelfs and room inside it.. on a good size lot about 1/2 mile from Main St.
The house is red brick, the din, kit same floor as the bath. Bedrooms, family room (washer and dryer hook up in this room inside a closet) and living room has a light tan color carpet.
That price makes me want to cry. Do you know how many families we try to help? I'd KILL to set a family up in even a small apartment for a price like that. In my area, you couldn't touch a house like that for under $1300 per month. An average apartment with one bedroom is going to run $900.
The apartments for $800 and under are typically not something you'd want to consider, or it's a run-down trailer.
I now its location location but... does the bigger citys pay that much more on wages? How can someone make rent like that? Even at this rent not everyone can afford this. I mean- it takes two people with nice jobs, or SSI to make this.
How can you pay $1,000.00 for rent, without the elect, water, food, car payment. What are these people making a week is something I always wonder in big towns that the rent is so high.
Passing that buck on- what does someone in NY pay for a cup of coffee when wages are that high?
Man I would do just about anything for me and my family to have a place that nice for that price..Im paying more for living in the hell hole housing authority apts.....What area are you in?
I don't even live in a big city. I live north of New Orleans in a suburb not far from where Images used to live.
Katrina caused huge rental spikes here and while they've settled a bit, $1000 is pretty fair for an apartment now. What do people earn? Not nearly that much for single moms, which is why they have to come to places like the Center for help. Oddly, you can find much less expensive places in New Orleans, but they are often in mixed neighborhoods where people fear crime, especially if they have little ones.
By the way, is that a laminate floor? I think it's the same as the one in my house. If so, I LOVE it. I have kids, a cat, and a dog (not to mention a husbnd) and they haven't yet been able to ruin it!
Omg I so totally love this place, would be perfect for me, and its a 3 bedroom as well, hell that is only $25 more then I am paying now for a small 2 bedroom duplex.
Got another call from Windstream phone company trying to do the sales pitch. I have been nice, I have been mean. Today my sister got it. Now my sis is a cool chick- but for some days. Today is being one of those days.
"Listen- I am a Windstream customer."
"No- I don't want internet. I already have it."
"With you."
"No it is not on this phone but on my fax."
"The number is."
"Look- I am getting pissed off. You all call me all the time, trying to get me to get your DSL.. when I already have it. But hey-- the cable company has it too. You call me one more time, wasting my time, I am going to spent the same amount calling them and seeing what it will take to get it from them."
"Well NOW you know. Stay off my phone. If I need you I will call you."
Slam goes down the phone, and she lets out a loud "Mother FXukers....stop calling me."
I just laughed my ass off. She is the nice one you see.
Maybe those loose Christians are doing it to bulk up their claim that the world is going ot end in May (see article in Image's journal)

EVERYBODY kept saying this was supposed to be the worst winter on record for up here.
Ain'. Seen. SHIT.
It has snowed three times, and only one has piled up to any appreciable amount.
And yet all I keep seeing on the weather channel is "rain/snow mix."
