The Phantom



A phantom perch from way up high,

watching his victim so smooth and sly.

A capable moment he just can't wait,

for her blood he must have, he must take.

Her foot steps echo across the paved ground,

he turns his head to make sure nobody is around.

Her heels hit a solid step,

her heart beats, he skips a breath.

Almost out of the phantoms grasps

she opens the door and hears a wicked laugh.

She turns slowly to look into his eyes,

and then it was to late, she already knew why.

His fangs protrude out of his mouth,

they sink deeply, sucking, without a sound.

Her life then fades to black,

But the phantom knew then in the morning she would be back.

For he has been watching her for weeks on end,

and in love with her is where his mind has been.

So tonight she shall sleep the sleep of the dead,

but tomorrow live on and be immortal with him..
