Logan and I were discussing wedding stuff today and we officially set our date. It will be the 31st of October, 2026. I'm not super stoked about it being two years off, but it's smart. Next year will be all about the move to Texas and settling in there, and then that gives us a lot of time to figure out the venue and all the other stuff that comes with having a wedding. I was really considering having the wedding here in California, because it's where all my family lives, but his family will be in Texas, and I don't want to make his mother travel too far for it. So, yeah. At least we have the date settled on and we've got some real ideas about what we're going to do.

Man, the latest episode of Helluva Boss is like a hard punch to the stomach. A show that started off as some imps killing people should not be allowed to be this heartbreaking. And that ending song, I need it.
I hate that can see so much of who I used to be in Blitzo. But, I'm glad I've put in the time and effort to change who I used to be.

Because I'm a basic Goth bitch, I have always been interested in getting married on Halloween. And, honestly, that would work perfectly, since Halloween falls on a Saturday in 2026. Logan and I don't really want to get married before the move to Texas, and then it'll take some time after to save up some money. We don't want a huge wedding, but there will be at least 50 people and weddings of any size aren't cheap. It's like everything wedding related tends to be more expensive than it should be. But I think a nice Halloween wedding in two years would be rally nice.

Logan got me The Final Shape, the last DLC for Destiny 2 as an early birthday present. I didn't want to get back into Destiny again, I've spent nearly a year off of it, but I've heard nothing but good things about it, so I guess it's time to play it for myself. Let's see how long this game can keep me entertained this time. The last time I played with any real seriousness was probably around when The Witch Queen came out. I played some of the last DLC, but not much and not for very long. I think I barely finished the story on that one. But yeah, they brought back Nathan Fillion, so that makes me happy.

I expected it to happen eventually, as we've talked at length about marriage, but tonight Logan actually asked me to marry him. I honestly couldn't be any happier than I am right now.
It's an alexandrite stone with two very small diamonds flanking it on either side in a white gold setting. It's absolutely beautiful. We went down to Zuma Beach and he popped the question. I didn't expect to cry like I did, but I'm a sentimental bitch.

Complain, complain, complain.
I wish people just knew how to stop. Stop investing so much thought, so much time, so much emotion into something, or someone, that they aren't involved with. I can only listen for so long about trivial problems that could easily be solved with a block. A block on social media, a block of a phone number. Easy things. I don't have it in me to constantly be empathetic for a person who constantly puts themselves in situations they could easily avoid. It's tiring to give the same advice over and over to someone who just can't or won't listen.
I, more than anything, can sympathize with how hard it can be to stop loving someone who's toxic for you. I've been in that exact position more times than I care to admit. So, I get it, I truly do. But, it's been a year now, it's time to move on. This person knows how bad their ex was for them, constantly tells me about it. I've been there, listening to their problems for two years now, and I just can't anymore. I know it sucks that she's moved on, does all the things with her new partner that she would never do with or for you. I get it. But even you acknowledge how toxic she was and still very much is. How she hurt you over and over and over again. Why would you still talk to her? Why would you still allow her to have any power over you? It makes no sense. There's a point where it's just better to cut someone out of your life than to just constantly wallow in self pity and hatred towards someone who never really cared. I have been saying the same things over and over for the last two years, my words falling on deaf ears. I can't anymore.

Logan and I did a thing. Meet Masquerade, or simply Masque, the newest addition to our family. I love her so much. She's 8 weeks old and so utterly precious.
She's staying with him, because while she is our sweet little girl, she's also for Mina, who's been asking for a cat for years. I already have Nyx and Quinn here with me, and I don't think they would appriciate a new kitten right now.

You know it's real when one of the things we did this weekend was go to a jewelry shop and find my ring size. I wasn't far off from what I always thought it was, but it's good to have that confirmation. He'll need that information at some point. Granted, we've already talked at length about getting married, so it's just an inevitably at this point. But, engagement rings are important, I guess. I mean, I'd be perfectly happy with a stupid ring pop, a piece of string. I don't need a ring to know that I want to spend my life with this person.
It's going to be two and a half years at the end of the month, three years on the 26th of December, and then a whole lifetime together in Texas. I'm looking forward to all of it, building a life with the person I love the most.
