I have been wanting to redo my entire profile for, well, years at this point, but I never actually commit to the work. One of these days I just need to sit down and do it. If/when that day ever comes around, this is the song I'd use. I love Green and Blue, which is what I'm using now, but this song brings back memories of my youth.

I can't win. I took my car into the shop this morning and I got a call a little bit ago about what the issue is. Well, issues, I should say. Both O2 sensors need to be replaced, there's apparently a crack in the manifold, and I have like, no breaks left. So yeah... Each of those things would cost around $700 (the manifold would actually be double that if I went through a Nissan dealership to get a new one, but my guy says he could easily weld it back together), which means I'm looking at around $2,100 to fix all the problems. I could probably find a shitty beater for less. I'm at the point where I'm just ready to write this car off as a total loss and be carless. Logan got his new Charger on Monday, so at least he could pick me up and drop me off this weekend, but I honestly don't know what to do. I can't afford that, Logan can't afford that. It's just... Fuck! I am grateful to have a car, but lately it's just been a fucking money pit.

You know what I always took for granted? Being able to breath normally like I did before I got Covid 3 times and fucked up my respiratory system beyond repair. You never know just how nice it is to not have to worry about your breathing when your lungs are fucked. And every time I get sick, it makes the whole situation way worse. I've never had to use my inhaler as much as I have the last week.

It's been years in the making, but Hazbin Hotel finally premiered on Amazon today. I wasn't the biggest fan of the pilot when I watched it in 2020 when Trevor introduced me to Helluva Boss. But, it's grown on me over the years. I still prefer Helluva Boss over it, as I like the characters and their dynamics more, but seeing it finally fleshed out more is nice. And it's just as entertaining as Helluva Boss, I'm such a sucker for a fun musical. This song, though... Viv released it on her YouTube channel like, two weeks ago, and it's been a favorite since. You really feel for the character Angel Dust, and the way his voice breaks at the end is heartbreaking. Anyway, I am enjoying Hazbin Hotel, and it sucks that it's a staggered release, 4 episodes now, 2 next Friday, and the last 2 in two weeks, but such is streaming these days.

I'm a few days behind, it was on the 15th, but I've been the head of Nocturnal Retribution for a whole year now. It's just... It's been a lot, I'm not going to lie, but I'm learning as I go. I'm so proud of what we've done with the House. I couldn't ask for a better group of people as those I have as members. We've created something wonderful together. So, yay for Nocturnal Retribution, and yay for the last year.

I other news, I'm still sick. It's not like a regular cold or anything. It's just my throat and this horrible, horrible fatigue. I hate feeling so tired all the time. I'm really hoping I get to feeling better soon, I'm pretty over all of this.

Curse this weak immune system of mine. I feel like absolute garbage. Thankfully there aren't any real issues outside of my lungs and throat, but with the way my lungs are these days thanks to Covid, that's enough to wipe me out. Lots of those body wracking coughs that just hurt and make it hard to breath. Hopefully I'll get over this soon.

California has been having a lot of seismic activity lately. New Year's Day, and we were just hit with a 4.7 centered out of Lytle Creek a few minutes ago. And yeah, earthquakes and California go hand in hand, our entire state is just fault lines, but it's been more than usual. I wonder if we're gearing up for "the big one" that we've been threatened with for the last like, 25 years. The one that's supposed to be as bad, or even worse than, the Northridge quake in '94.

I hope everyone has had a wonderful New Year's. Logan and I just had a chill evening in, no parties, nothing wild. We took some edibles, watched some Succession, and shared a kiss at midnight. I try to avoid going out on New Year's Eve due to the people who think it's smart to drive while under the influence of either alcohol and/or drugs. So, staying in was nice. It's been a good weekend. Last year was a good year on a lot of levels, and I'm hoping this year is just as good. Happy 2024!
