Answer the call of the flames

I love fire and it is my element in many ways. The way it moves, flows, comes to life. The colors of gold, blue, red, copper, yellow, orange. The heat it gives off on a cool night or while snow is falling around it. It calls to me in a way, like it is talking to a part of my soul. And sometimes I make the time to list to its call. Last night I had a wonderful few hours on my front porch, in the cool night watching the flames.

I took my camera out to take a few random shots and found another reason to love fire. Like looking at the clouds in the sky to see shapes I found a few in my pictures. The first few are before I started playing with the camera settings but they still came out great I think. So get a cup of coffee on this lazy Sunday (or that just might be me being lazy) and let’s see if we “see” the same things.

July 4th Fireworks

Birdy takes credit for these. She made me go to the fireworks show- rain, cloudy, and parked so the oncoming cars lights hit me. lol Did not really plan to take pictures- more of a "Let's see what happens if I do this?" type of thing. I have never taken pictures of fireworks before, as these show. But I live and learn... right? Right.

And our town is not known for the fireworks show- it lasted....ten mins maybe, with about 40 fireworks. :)

They look awfully good to me :) They didn't show up quite this clear from my backyard unless they were shot really high up.

sounds like your fireworks show planners and mine should get together and see if they could come up with enough rockets to double the length of the shows!! LOL :)

The only thing about being at work before dawn is the pictures you can get. :) I only had the point and shoot camera so the clouds and sunrise ones did not turn out to good. Maybe the upcoming week, as it is also going to be another week for me, I can remember to take my nice camera along.
