You think you are a good online shopper? Well I got something for you to find. I am looking to replace my living room curtains. With the green couch my sister gave me the rose color ones just don't look right. The ivory/ rose and pale pink old couch - they matched really well.



So I am thinking color. Thinking a nice thick therm lined drapes. I want to use my old style curtain rods if I can, to keep the cost down on this.



What color? Well that is the thing, I can't find it. Pumpkin. Not the bright NFL color orange but more a spice color. Not clay color, but a warm fall orange color. A rust if you will.



I have looked for over a month, Cat has been looking. Just standard window size, 6 panels in all.



I swear if you find these curtains after all this time I have looked... I will freaking luvs ya.

Trying to get them up before winter, to try and cut down on my heating bill.

Day two on the shipment from last week that the mover left, did not see fit to come get. Seems the member called the Base to see where it was and they started to track it. The mover who was handling it had already submitted a bill and everything, for the whole shipment. When more then half of it was still in my warehouse waiting for pickup.



What a fuck up. They commented fraud, and seems they are in deep doo doo over it. Yesterday the inspector came down while we was out of town and went into the building to take photos of the crates her items came here in from Japan. Seals still in-tacked. Sis said they was building a case to have the mover removed from the system.



And we wonder why I never doubted my call to get out of the military moves. Hmmm...



So the two men showed up in this nice tractor trailer. Low trailer, the kind you only use in city streets. Only about a foot off the road on the trailer with its storage cases under it.



So when he goes out, on the road/driveway he came in mind you, he get's stuck. As in he get's this low trailer on a angle on a slope stuck.



*sigh*



Costed him two hundred dollars to get a tow truck to pull him off the slope, and his comment to me and the tow driver, who is a local that gave him a huge break, was "I will never come back to this hick state again. Fucking profit I made today just got blown away due to this shit." It was so funny as the tow truck driver looked at me and I just smiled and said, loud enough for him to hear as he stomps off, "Must be a City driver- not knowing to stay off a slope with a low belly trailer" "He sure can't drive- poor boy needs to go back to that truck driving school."



Oh.. he was mad then. He speed off, as much as you can with a tractor trailer. Tow truck driver told me to have a great day, I thanked him for his help. And sure we both caulk it up to rudeness.



And with that last drama - I start my weekend. :D

And the day was going so well too.



I should be home, resting before going over to Cat's to help Boo with his homework.



Instead I am at my desk, pulling up the order for tonights movie run I get to run. Starting at 10:30 and putting me back home, in to my bed around 2:30am. Then up at work at 7:00 as the truck had a problem with a hose today on the way home, a whole 4 miles from our exit. The garage is going out to look at it, see if they can fix it there. If not.. you guess it... tow.



Thus the 7:00 am work call as we will have to take the back up truck out and get the equipment off that truck before we start our local move with it.



*cross fingers folks*



Come on TW1- just be a hole on the hose, reason you over heated, started leaking water.



Either way- I want a fucking drink tonight.



Bright side- job went well, lady was pleased, no damage, and she said she would tell anyone looking for a mover to call us. :D

See- I got you all beat. When I can't sleep I call Cancer and he puts on his bat wings and flies as a bat to my home. He comes into my room and changes back into his vampire self, sits on the edge of my bed and talks about computer codes. I get so bored I fall asleep. He then tucks my blanket in around me, and leaves out the window in bat shape. Duh- doesn't he do that for everyone??

On to my rant about Alliance and Covens...



To say I am not a social person would not be a stretch of the truth. So when I step into the position of House Master I knew an Alliance came with it. Why? Because it is expected of the Houses. Would I have one if I was a Coven Master? No. But then I would not of been a Coven Master either. But I took the job on and will run both the way I was taught to run them by my past Coven Masters and House Master *Imagesinwords and Doe* And by what life teaches me.



I dislike bullies. I dislike anyone who will not take control or accept reasonability for their actions or those they are in charge of, in one way of another. I tell you this as I have seen both happen yesterday.



Let me tell you how I see an House/ Coven working-



I see you not having to add or honor anyone you don’t want to. You are a grown fucking adult and have free will.



I see you not having to add any crest or any such crap on your profile.



I see you not having to post in the forum, but you will earn favor by being active on the site. I don’t hold dead beats unless I wish to in my members.



Alliances? I understand each Coven Master has her/ his own rules. I understand they will not be run as I do my House. Each his own as long as you are within the rules of the site. But you would THINK folks would understand you don’t go into another’s Forum and post rude, stupid, and flaming post.



“I can’t control what they do. I am not their mother.”



Yes you can. When you take a member into your Coven/ House you are to control them in other’s forums. Sure- they might step over the line a few times, and a warning might be all that is needed. But when it is clear they are just in that other Coven's Forum to cause shit- YOU as Coven Master need to step in.



You are held to the actions of your Member’s. You take on the reasonability of your members when they ‘step into’ another’s home/ forum. It reminds me of a mother standing there as her kids beat the shit out of the furniture with toys in my home. And the “I can’t control them” is as much of a cop out then as it is now. If you are unwilling to control your Coven’s members then you might not want to be in an Alliance. If you can’t play well with others- don’t join one. And if you can’t take the step to blind them, you shouldn’t be part of any group that you have to interact with.



I am not talking “So and so blocked me, rated me a one.” Big freaking boo hoo as Cancer gave us that right. But as a Alliance Master I do not give you the right to be abusive, rude in any Forum in the Alliance but your own. That is what I expect form a Coven Master in my Alliance, and I don’t think it is asking for too much.



Cat, aka Tainted, the master of Spirit (Coven) left our Alliance last night. She left with no attacks, no drama, after another Coven Master told her she could just delete the comments off her forum that her two members was making, and would not take the steps to stop them. Now tell me- what Coven Master out there would stand by as an Alliance Coven does that?



But she removed herself and her Coven out of the Alliance. That shows me that Cat stood her ground that she would not bring drama to my Alliance, or cause it. She promised me she would never bring harm to our group and her actions proved it. She had asked me several times to join, to try and start over. And well... I blew her off. I even posted a warning when she came into the Alliance that she promised me she would never cause any drama in my own forum to 'warn' my members. Yes- I was waiting, but she was silent, she was nice, she stayed to herself. She proved to me that she could be a good Coven to have in the Alliance.



It just makes me upset that she left before I was online enough to read the comments being made, and took the action that I wanted to this morning after sleeping on it.



The other Coven Master actions showed me a problem that I see in a Coven Master that will not take action. In fact it showed me a lack of leadership.



I think the wrong Coven left last night from our Alliance.



I am putting this out here for two reasons:



So Cat knows she did the right thing, and she is welcome back into my Alliance at any point. And if she has any problems from ANY members in the Covens in her fourms like she had - they will be removed. I will not ask or warn, I will remove them. And when I say them I mean the whole Coven. Like I said- you can't play nice with others, and you will not stop them, I have no problem doing it for you.



2nd reason- those who love to bash her, watch every move she makes will understand she did the right thing, held to her promise to me. She was the Coven Master who handled herself and that I am proud of. She has done a lot of shit on this site, don’t get me wrong. But last night I think she was the better Coven Master.

Just got off the phone with the man who runs the fire dept in town Haunted House, which is well known as the best in town. Last year he talked about getting me to help out with the makeup. He hunted me down again, and wants to meet up to set the makeup looks, what I need them to buy, how much I need, etc. Kind of a 'let's meet up, I will tell you what we are doing as far as the props, and we will go from there on the makeup." Way cool!!



He was really impressed with my looks on Facebook, and my skill.



YEAH!



I know- it is just makeup in a dark haunted firehouse that no one will see but still...

Got a call yesterday from a big national company about a household move that I made an estimate on over a year ago. Seems they finally sold the home. I looked for half a hour and can’t find the estimate either in paper or on my system. So I asked the lady if they could ask the company to send me a copy. But in that time frame I will come down early this morning to meet with you before you go to work, let me get a refresh on what we are talking about/ get my eyes on it. She said sure- come on down. And we stated talking dates for next week, knowing it was going to be a tight fit to get her in with her full pack, load, unload, and extra stop to a storage unit.



Once I got into the area I knew something was wrong. While I remember the house, the lady even, and the huge one piece wardrobe upstairs- I also remember I didn’t do the estimate on this move. By that I mean I was in the home, I did do part of an estimate on this move. Another company had paid me to come in, do a walk thru and send them the info so they could make an estimate on it. I told them directions to the home, if they could get a tractor trailer in, count and kind of boxes needed to pack, the weight, warning on the larger pieces upstairs that took lifting and lowering over the stair railing to the main floor.



The lady started to say the company could not find the estimate either, but sure they would at some point. I knew they wouldn’t. I knew if they did pull up the estimate on this man they would hold me to the prices that I did not set. I also know this was a national account that I should of never been called back on. “Can I ask - why did you call me?” “Because you came last year, right? You made the estimate.”



So- I could lie, do the move, and when the bill came around and they barked at the amount I could say “Show me the estimate I made stating those prices.” and they would have to pay me.



But-



That is not fair to the mover that paid me before to be their ‘eyes’ for them.

That is not fair to the company paying the bill.



So I come clean and explain what happen. The lady gets her hubby on the phone and he tells me his wife really wanted to use a smaller company, and we had a good reputation. And his wife just liked me, and when the home sale went thru she was hopping to call you back. I thanked him, but told him the National account usually have huge discounts that I just couldn’t go against. I was happy to make the estimate for them, at no cost, to see if I can get the job. That I had no problem with doing this as long as we understand the first estimate wasn’t mine. His wife, standing in front of me in her robe, smiles and says “Yes- do!” He agreed, said he would go talk to Human Resources about it.



So back to the office I do, worked the estimate up, and called into the Human Resources to get the fax or email to send it to. Within half a hour I get a call from the mover that had paid me to do the walk thru. They oh so politely tell me they had the move, and as it was a national account that I would be wasting my time doing a estimate. The dates was booked already, sorry for the miss up on the member’s side for calling me and wasting my time. But thanks for straightening it up with the company, that they sure could use the work.



I called the shipper's wife and told her it was out of my hands, I was unable to submit a estimate. She thanked me and said if she ever could send me some work she would. I wished her the best on the job, and to have a safe move.



*sigh*



I should of just kept my mouth shut. I was out about three hours work, trip of 50 miles for nothing. Oh well… that is how it goes.



*chants*

I did the right thing, I did the right thing, I did the right thing.



But i sure could of lived with three days work next week as that is 3 more days then I have now. :(

Today I was almost killed by a log truck. I was behind my truck in my car, we came out of a curve on a small back road when I saw the brakes on the truck in front of me light up. He pasted the driveway. So he went to the next one and pulled in, backed up several times to turn around with me waiting for him to do this. Two lane road so he had me blocked, waiting.



That is about the time a empty log truck came speeding around the curve, then slamming on his brakes, a sound of tires locking up. Old old truck, log truck with bald tire, and empty. He lost control. Guard rail on my right, my truck across the road in front of me left the driver only the lane to the left of me to try and get his truck under control.



He stop about 5 feet from hitting my truck, his back tires right at my window. Meaning he stop about 8 feet past me.



So.. yeah, faced being smashed today, badly hurt or killed. Going to light a candle and thank the gods for my life.

Nothing like getting up, and out to take photos with the sunrise. :D



Just wish I had more around our town to take photos of. But did get some sunflowers shots, as I hummed the song "Here Comes The Sun." And got chased off by some cows who seemed to think I was there to feed them. Guard cows, who knew? lol



Laundry started, bathroom cleaned, and now it is time to cook some food before I clean the kitchen up. Leaves dusting and vac before I meet sis for swimming around 1:00 pm. Then over to Cat's for the night.



Will have to try and fit in the edit of photos at some point.



Had one of those moments. Having bent over to take all the sunflower shot, I stood up with a hand to my back to give it a rest, turned to watch the sunrise- and it felt right to have the weight of that camera in my hand, my shoes wet from dew in the silent morning of a great day.



Other then standing on a beach it is these time- times like this, with camera in hand, and beauty around me that makes me feel at peace. Will never be able to thank Otter enough for leading me back to that place.



I could of lived without the cows tho. ;)

While he says he has pasted all the drug screen, it seems he hasn't or this would not be dragging into years of debate.



Of course I take take the meds he used to fight cancer might of ..

Nope he has passed over 500 drug tests during his career. The allegations all are from former team-mates that "witnessed" him taking the drugs.



My issue is, there is no way to prove or disprove these allegations at this point. The former team-mates were all CONVICTED of doping.



So did he? Or didn't he?



We will never know, and really there was no way for him to fight this battle, as it SHOULD have happened when he was competing. If they doubted, tests then could have found something, but now that he is retired, there is no way. It is a silly stupid thing for them to do, especially considering how far past his competing it is.

Technically, the USADA that is bringing the allegations, have no power to take his Olympic medals or the Tour de France trophies. They are simply suppose to test for doping, nothing more, nothing less. They are a AMERICAN based group, used to test for major competitions. They can present their findings to the Olympic Committee's and the French Committee and those committee's have to decide for themselves. Also remember, there is a time limit of 8 years, of when you can bring charges.



Read here if you want to know more. The USADA isn't involved in with the Olympics, except in the US or involved in the Tour De France.



I think Lance was smart. Why waste your energy fighting someone, that is going after you for something that, at the time, you passed.

Few weeks ago the guys put a rip in the kitchen flooring during a moving job, right in front of the ref. They don't make mistakes often so I really never said anything to them, just made the call to our carpet guy we buy all ours from.



He just called to tell me they had went out, cut out the square, patched it, used seam sealer to repair it. He said he waited a few weeks to see if the lady has any issues with it coming up. He said he called her this morning and she said she can't even see the area now, it was fixed as far as she was concerned.



He called me to let me know. Which is nice as I just expected a bill, really. I asked how much it cost and I will send him a check. He tells me that we are one of the oldest customers he had, he looked and over the 20 plus years we had purchased 39 orders from him. I didn't know we had that much but as he is the only one we buy carpet from.. ok.



Charge is nothing- and he thanked me for using him.



Here I was thinking I should thank him, which I did, for helping me fix one of my mistakes to only be thanked for working for a man who always does as he tells me, good product and service.



:) Can't beat that.

Damn me and my picky side. The rental home I have been showing has an issue with the paint job. The rental hung all kinds of photos and when she left her year lease with only three months into it- she filled in the whole and used some kind of paint to cover it. Sure she tried to match it but it stood out like a sore thumb to me.



So I got the painter here this morning and he went to 'touch it up' only to tell me it wasn't going to be that easy.



It is ever??



So now I am looking at painting half the living room walls, the one kitchen wall, and the hallway again.



*sigh*



I should of just rented the damn thing with the spots. In fact- fingers crossed, I have it rented to a lady with a son. Just waiting on the finally few things, she has to see if her landlord will let her out of her 30 day notice. If not she is looking at me holding it till Sept, which will not happen.



Either way- the damn spots on the walls will be gone in a few hours. My Dad always told me I was just too picky for my own good. But come on- she put a grouping of 7 or 9 small framed prictures together and it stands out like a sore thumb. And people pay good money to have a nice home so... painting it is.

you could make it mandatory not to put holes in the walls but instead use the 3M Command Damage-Free Picture Hanging Strips . at least it would save you from having to repaint so much and they really don;'t cost that much. lots of land lords are doing that now.

Been a long freaking day. Best news out of it- Moonie Pie is doing ok. :) T kept me texted, and I would try and hope on and off to check journals. Good to see that the Moonie Pie is doing better.



Today was planned out for me- always a way to lead into a fucked up day. Military member was sitting at my parking lot when I got in this morning around 7:35am. Now remember I wasn't here yesterday so I am coming into this after it is all said and done.



Another mover is coming here to pick up his storage, and some items at a min stg in town. Note that his storage came from Germany so it is still in the shipping crates. He walks me to my office, waits for me to open up the office and sits in my office for over three hours waiting on this mover.



Thing is- the guy told my sister yesterday he wasn't going to be here. Could I tell him that? No. Not my place. This guy drove all night to get here from NC. because the driver was to do his pick up today. I felt sorry for the guy. I got him water, offered him a pop tart.



So we waited as I made a few phone calls, canceled my Dr. visit and that being pushed back to Sept 2. now. Why? Because I knew the dude isn't coming. But he told this man he was, that is what the plans made in the new online system.



Come 11:30, after this man called and got voice mail after voice mail- the driver called me. He askes me for help in loading in the morning. No- sorry but no. I have my guys booked on the 2nd move of this week, so no. He gets upset- I am ready to chew his ass out as I look at the poor young man sitting in front of me.



I turn him over to the man, and he tells him he had truck trouble about 200 miles away and would be there in the morning. Fucking lier. Poor guy is out a hotel room now for the night. I took the phone back...and yes... I kind of got snippy. I told him he should of called the man if he wasn't going to show up. He costed him a hotel room now. And to make the labor request more then a day in advance. AND that the mini storage is going to need a shuttle, as he will never get his tractor trailer into that area.



He wanted me to call and get a uhaul for him. Sorry? What? I did not take this move on. What the hell? It is your job to see you have the shuttle truck, you have the labor, and that you show when you say you will. He ask me if I ever had truck trouble. I shoot right back- "Not when you tell me yesterday you wasn't going to be here because of it when you sit right here and told the shipper it happen this morning. Tell the truth- you didn't plan to be here today and now you got caught. I swear the military movers are going to hell."



He calmed down- took the Uhaul phone number, and the other mover in town to see if they could get labor. All of which should of been done days ago.



The member and I talked afterwards, me sending him to a local hotel that I got with a discount. He told me he was not happy and would raise hell once he got his shippment on the road. I really can't blame him.



I am not saying we haven't been late, a few hours. But I have never not shown at all on the day I was to be there. Sorry but you can fucking have the truck towed to the home to get the deliver/ pickup done as promised. And yes- we have done that. The family we was moving went on as plan and we dealt with the repairs afterwards.



I just don't get people these days. And so glad I am out of that part of the military household transportation.



Then showed the house a few times. The one lady I liked, one son, credit came back kind of low but checking the other items like her rental refrence. Only other person I like was a mexican who I was very impressed with. He has a wife, two young kids *4, 2* and both him and his wife had good jobs. Nice clean folks, clean car. And he spoke better english then I did. He took his time and spoke so clear and told me if he said something I did not understand to please ask him to repeat it. :) I almost let him have the house just on that alone. lol I am going to turn in his application to see about his credit in the morning. I would say I have never rented to a Mexican, and that is true. But just because I have never had one come put in for one. He was nicer/ cleaner then most of the other who have come seen it.



Did get my blood work done this morning after sis came down around 8:30 or so.



And we got to dance to the song Rubber Man, her with her cane. You have to know the song to get that joke. Even the man waiting in the office did some dance moves with us. LOL It was really a lot of fun, and he needed it, bless his little heart.



It really just saddens me how military members are being treated these days by the movers. I understand why the mover are doing what they are but... when does the line get drawn? Yes- you are not getting paid as much as you was. Yes you are just breaking even but.. you did take the job on. You did say you would do this, and this is all they own in the world but the cars.. don't you think you should take care of it??



I knew it was time to bow out when I couldn't do the jobs to the standard my parents taught me.



Anyway- random ain't I? :) Time to cook dinner.

It's all Imagesinwords fault. :) Came in off a larger move today and sister told me to try and answer my emails if I could as I threw up today at work, been hot and cold chills, just not feeling up to today. But I started on the 24 emails, tried to answer the ones I can without calling folks, doing the estimate with a clearer mind in the morning.



I found one asking about a rental on the apartment. We have one coming empty and a lady who has rented from us for over 13 years wants us to rent to her daughter who just got out of collage. She said she would pay that rent as well, but her daughter was to help. *aka- she promised the rent will be paid*



I wrote to my sister in the email-



I am fine with that. The upper apartment looks as good as it did when they moved in. Just might have to do some work before she moves in. Her Mom is one of the best rentals we have had. Cool beans with me.



Sis wrote back:



I now you have a fever now. You said COOL BEANS>. LOL





HAhaha... have to say I never said that till Images started me on it. :) Then to jinks it I came online to a message from Images. She just must be in my mind/life today.

Nothing like a pressure cooker. Got BBQ ribs in, can walk away as I show the house this afternoon or outside to watch the birds as I enjoy the cool day.

It is ready when I am, ribs tender and full of flavor. And the house is not heated up by the oven.



Been working on the Fall cross stitch since the doll houses are put on hold till Cat gets her move done. I might have this one done within the year. lol



I just have to have a craft going, it seems, in my life.

Pressure cooker- the newer ones. I put the frozen ribs in, added a little crushed garlic, took 1/3 cup BBQ sauce with a little more brown sugar and mustard added to it. Poured that over it, one bay leaf, and sealed it for 35 minutes. Mmmm.... it was good. :)



The new pressure cookers are nothing like the old ones, lot safer to use. From freezer to pot, 1/2 cup liquid. Steam corn on the cob in a few minutes, tatters, etc. I am really liking mine.

Showing the house we have empty and I am sitting in my car, waiting, when I hear a turkey calling. I look around and it seems the new rentals across the road that moved in about two weeks ago has a turkey in a box.

This is not our rental property, mind you.



The turkey head is above the box, he is calling out. His tail feathers are out of the box and he is trying his best to get the wood off the top that cross his back. I step toward him, thinking I woould help him go free when a gang of kids come running around the house. That is about the time I notice another box. By the way they talk that little box that had air holes in it had a pig in it.



Why? What the hell are you going to do with them? They poked at the turkey, him calling out. By then the people showed up and I went back to show the house. By the time I came back the kids was gone but the poor turkey was still calling out.

Worked last night doing movie runs. Yes I said runs, 3 total. When I did get home I couldn't sleep as I was past the "Sleepy but keeping myself awake" point.



Cool weather this weekend might have me taking some photos, got two houses picked out to try and get into. Snakes tho... they both are in fields of overgrown grass, weeds, bushes. So I might hold off a few more weeks. I don't want to spend hours picking ticks off me.



Ok- maybe a make- up look instead. ;) That should be nice and safe. And some cooking outside on the grill, watching the birds at the feeder.



Only to be in the highs of 70's so perfect weather for me on being outside. Fall is just around the bend, thank god.



Good news is- I was able to put a extra 150.00 dollars on my credit card bill to start paying on the trip to WV. :D That should amost pay the hotel room for the two night, and I got the ticket paid for. Now just food, fuel left to budget for.

You know what you remind me of- the people who use others. You are the kind that would take in a person, give them a room, food, a place to stay but then you would tell them "You need to mow the yard." "You need to clean the house" "You need to do this and that... " Free labor.



But all the while you talk about how 'good' you are and how you are 'trying to help him strighten his life out." And how "christians folks" help others.



Guess I am the only one who is seeing it as slave to your master. And I mean that in more then one way.



How about paying him? Sure charge him rent for his room and food, but pay him for all the work you make him do. How are you 'teaching him to be a man' otherwise?



I just don't get your way of thinking. But then... god is not on my side I guess. I think you are taking advantage of the young man myself. And I don't think god would like that.

Got a whole 10 hours. Neck still sore but I did get a solid night of sleep.



The people are safe another day from my grumpy lack of sleep pissing me off- beatings.

It's it ironic, don't you think? When the mover from another town calls you to bitch about 'another' mover in his area who is running against the rules? Gosh... I remember the years you cut me out of jobs, going cheaper and cheaper to take my jobs till I got feed up and reported your ass to the State.



You had to get your permits, certificate, insurance. And lord looky there- you went up in your price, and we meet on a fair playing field. You know who to call and report him to, same guy you talked to when you got the letter about runing illegal.



What really erks me is when you call and ask to speak to the man who owns the company.



Yeap, us 'gals' are no help at all when you started your bitching other then to tell you 'Now you know how it feels." It's the bitch in us, that time of month or whatever reason you want to give it. It could never be your own actions, karma coming back to bite you on the ass and I find that funny, now could it?



Isn't it ironic.... *sings*

It's offical- we are no longer approved for military shipments. :) However- we have been kept on for military storage and delivery out of them in our area. Since that is costing me about two thousand more a year for the inspections they require in person every month on the ADT system- we will see how that goes.



They took my attitute of "If we pass, great. If you don't, been a great 60 years." and decided since I wasn't going to pass the financial requirements that they would let it end with me withdrawing. This way if something changes on my end *cough cough they start paying more cough* then I can come back into the system with nothing against our company.



Big of them. :)



And for those who care- the neck is better but still costed me sleep last night.



Neck pain- 2 night sleep.

Me- ready to rip someones face off.

Good news- it is hump day. Got the rental cleaned up and starting to show it this morning. Hope to get it rented within a week or so. Already got rid of the "I can move in today." "Can I pay you the rent today?" rush that means folks are looking for a place to land, thrown out.

Oh I've done that, can I move and pay rent today... Did it to the last place prior to this. But my living situation was horrid and I had paid first and last- so when I did it, I still gave 45 days notice (only required to give 30) and That way I didn't have the roomie stealing my stuff as he did with other room-mates.



This move, I gave 70 days. And am again paying double rent so that I can have a fast move.

Yesterday I watched two kids while Cat and her sister went to the band meeting. I don't know how but I pulled a muscle in the back of my neck getting out of her recliner. The thing- you sit in it and I swear you just lay back without doing anything. A job and a half to just get out of it, pull yourself out. I don't understand how she gets out of it at all.



So - pulled muscle. Neck, left shoulder.



I sleep on my side. Mostly my right side, more or less on my belly. That didn't happen. Left side- nope. So I gave in around 3:00 this morning and moved to my back, with a single pillow. I could not breath. If I did fall asleep, and with the pain killer I had in me, I did. Till I woke myself up snoring. I can't sleep on my back- flat out.



So to the chair with the heating pad, and I slept for about a hour till I woke up with my head in a bunch of nerves/ pain. MY head leaned forward, and to the right which put all the pressure on the spot I hurt. OUCH! I almost never got it strighten back out.



End up back in bed, single pillow, and just waking up every ten or so mins when I started to get into a deep sleep and snored myself awake.



I have worked a little of the soreness out today. Really hope I can get a good night sleep tonight as I am about ready to bite heads off due to lack of sleep these past two nights.



I slept to late on Sunday *almost 11:00 am* so that meant I couldn't sleep Sunday night and watched a true crime show.. that kept me up for most of the night hearing things in the house.



Give me a horror movie any day to a true crime.

Had a list of things to do today, and got a great start. Mopped, cleaned the ref out, wiped it down, got the dishes done just in time to cook a meal. My break before I started the rest of the house work and laundry. Just sat down to eat when my sister calls to tell me our Cousin was here to visit.



Now this is a adopted son of my Aunt, mom sister. His own parents have disowned him due to all the drugs/ gang/ jail time/ breaking and stealing he has done. Some of that to their own parents home. They have spent a small fortune keeping you out of trouble when they could, but you still spent many of your 40 years in jail.



Safe to say I threw clothing on and rushed to Mom's. After 18 years of not seeing him he looked like I was pictured. He had some 'friends' with him. Is it bad that I walked in with my 9MM, saying I was bring it down to clean when sis cleaned her own guns?



Sorry- but you can keep your gang white ass trash in Ohio. Us Kentucky gals will shut first, drag your bodies in, put a knife in your hands that don't match any other knife in our kitchen, and lie like hell if you come back.



Just saying... we ain't your parents. We will not stand for the shit you pulled on them.



Now to rush and try and finish the rest of the housework, then Cat's for the night.

Seems a lot of people have issues with controlling others on this site. What hits me these last few weeks is the ones who try to control or “sway” whom I talk to or deal with on here. I try to keep my Father’s outlook on this. He always let people be who they are. And it took a lot for my father to say “That is it. I am not dealing with you anymore.” My mother on the other hand was/is hot headed and she would blast you first, ask questions later. I have both sides to me, but I really am trying to just let it pass over me when folks here piss me off. Even getting better at it in real life.



A lot of the people I talk with, or not talk to in PM but see around the site, others dislike them. I hear the talk, the ‘So and so did this..“ And that is cool- you have your reasons for this. You have that right and I understand that is how you feel. And I would lie if I say it don’t make me watch myself around a few people on the site.



But for some of these people- I don’t have that feeling toward. You can find good in a person if you try. Most of the folks I enjoy on this site we don’t talk about the site. We talk about life, what is going on in the real world. Who cares if you are not liked on here? Small minded people only judge a person by this site actions.



Don’t get me wrong- trouble makers on the site is trouble makers in life too. But when someone has a bad day and gets into the drama, one or two days out of the year- don’t you wonder what is going on in their life that they act this way? It is so much bigger then a screen on a computer for most people. I know enough to understand that, been that person myself. Every one has off days, in life. Days that you wished you had just said “Screw it” and stayed in bed. What makes you think people don’t have those reactions to online to? I get in a pissy mood and if I am of right ‘mind’ I just log off the site instead of letting it loose on here. Some days I don’t tho, and actions are not the best. Is that who I am? Yes. But is it a everyday thing on this site? No.



Sure- I talk to folks here that piss me off. Hell you tell me one person I really agree with 100% on the actions, words on here and I will kiss that person’s ass. Just as I dislike and will not have anything to do with some people on here that other members “just love“. Each his or her own, I say. Actions speak volumes to me, not what other say, but what you have done to me.



You have folks who only talk to me when they want something, the users. Never hear from them unless they need something. And there is several on this site. Reminds me of my oldest sister, always nice and sweet when she wants something. But then you see her on the street and she will not even talk to you, act like you are dirt on her shoe. Of all the types here- those are the ones I am getting ready to lose. If I am in a crowd and see you, I will at least say “Hey” and go on, no matter if the folks I am with are going to disk you afterwards, and get mad at me. We don’t have to like the same people to get along, folks.



Then you have the ass kissers, who just want to be ‘seen’ on my radar. Why I haven’t a clue but it has gotten worst since I have become a Master Vampire. Those folks I kind of worry about as they really don’t see the site as I do.



Then you have the whiney asses who expect me to do something for them that other members are not getting. They act ‘special’ and entitled to it. I clearly say no, and we either go on talking or we don’t. You grow the fuck up and stop acting like this or we just don’t move past the messages of you asking, and me saying no.



Come down to it- a lot of folks I deal with on this site are like those I have in my real life. I can name everyone in my life and pick something out about them I dislike as they can me. And I am damn sure I can pick a few of my own fault. I am moody, I am distant to a lot of things and folks, I don’t like a crowd, I get bored and want to be doing something most of the time. And most of the time it is something that I do on my own like taking photos, crafts and needlework, reading a book, watching a movie, play with makeup. What I find fun to do, no one else does. I am flat out just odd in my circle.



But I also know if I look in the mirror I can see these flaws in myself reflected back at me. Just as if you joined me in the mirror I can see your flaws. Thing is- I don’t let it stop me from accepting the hand you reach out to me. Even if you just want something from me and never speak to me or take the second to just say a hello even in a chat, I understand it is how you are. And I have every right to move on, walk away from that mirror and leave you alone.



Before you judge me on my friends, or the ones you ‘see’ me with, or supporting on this site- maybe you should take a long look in that mirror and see what your own actions toward me has been of late. And how you would of reacted to them.

I think people also forget there are three sides to a coin. Face, back and sides. Depending on how you look at it depends on what it is. Then again there are those who view a demand as the same as a discourse.



Perhaps it is different communication styles, but often people would rather assume than to find out what is really going on. That was one of the biggest lessons I learned with my move. So many people would go off of assumptions, and while they were partially right, they were missing the whole picture.



It's far better to just watch and wait. People do show who they truly are. But not always in the manner you are looking for, it is the whole package; which sometimes requires knowing their perspective.

Yesterday went well. The Dr. got moved with only one box being damaged, glasses broken. Who ever packed him really didn't know what packing paper, even wash cloths, was used for.



Guys got 12 hours in, and a nice meal at the end of the day.



And I got next month's insurance payment. :D



And the Dr. was Romanian. Nice looking man too- bald, nice eyes and smile. Still couldn't understand most of what he said, but have to admit once I found out he was Romanian, he did get more sexy. ;)

I would still have my coven, I admit I had Imperium before (changed the name that use to be Shin Ji Ten chi Sho was to limited for what the coven was about) japanese anime, then I had Horror for the only reason I love Horror in the 50's and beleived many did. Was fun and all but a friend needed me so I closed both to go help, now I got The Coven, and its only use and soul purpouse (sp) is to keep those who complain about the site and its rules, silenced. They can't post so no 1% its a way of saying ; ok you don't want to participate you do not like the rules and you think they are wrong, fine then.... SHUT UP and stay in the corner, maybe by the time you reach Sire you will have read what you sign up for.



And also those who gets in societies and start shits or complain about being "force" to post,well :D let me help you with that, you will never have to post, actually you will never be able to post and on top, you will never get any other place then member. Thinking of Dad and the trucks, got a story to share. :)



We was out early one morning for a delivery. Flood waters everywhere and we always took this back road route to the delivery town. It was known to flood and it had rained all night. So I am driving a packing van, Ford 350, with a small moving van. Dad was in front of me with the stright job. Think full size school bus.



So we get to this one spot where it is flooded. I am in my truck, it is still pouring the rain, and stop when my father's truck stopped. Thinking he would go back to the interstate, lose the 45 mins this little short cut saved us, I was shocked to see him plow right on. I know he knew the road, and that it was just a stright shot. Waves freaking crested as he went into the water and over to the other side. Flat area, at the most he could of been washed off the road and gotten stuck.



Stun, I watched as he reached dry land and his brake lights shined. Like I was going to freaking drive into a lake. Mind you his truck/ bed is just over 13 feet tall. His whole truck had a better clearance then mine.



I got out and waved my arms, and he got out on the other side. Yelling at me he tells me to come on- just stay stright. I told him he was crazy. It was a lake. But as he said "It will be fine- drive that damn truck like you mean it and come on, we need to get going!"



So I climb back into the truck, wet as hell, pissed off, cussing. Thinking he would never risk my life, he was my father, I backed up a little, got a run.. and when I hit the water the damn wave washed over my hood. If it had been a gas engine I think it would of staled. lol I had water coming into the cab at my feet by the time I got across, it was so deep.



So I got to the other side where he was standing, open my door and water came out of the truck. I am fuming, so mad that he put my life and the shipment into danger. Thank god the doors had good seals, only a little water got into the side door into the shipment, nothing damaged. I was really just hauling the overflow of lawn items, equipment that he coudn't get onto his truck. No way to damage lawn movers, tiller, and patio tables really.



Yeap- I even had lighter weight, could of been pulled off the road by the water. It is one of those things you look back on, and I have many, that makes you go- WTH?



lol



Dad walked over to me, telling me to make sure and not let the motor die. He popped the hood, and checked it out whatever- then closed it. He walked up me and said "Well- that was deeper then I was thinking." We both looked at each other and I let a few cuss words fly "Deeper!! There was damn waves when you was going .." and he just laughted, headed to his nice dry truck.



It was one of those days you don't forget. Sort of like the day that I had 3 blow outs on the truck I was driving. Now THAT was fun!

Getting off the phone with my truck mechanic. I got a seal leaking on the front driver tire of the 2005 International. I was thinking the seals he had replaced was the issue, but it seems the little rubber plug is the issue. They dry out and when it gets hot they 'seap' out the oil, which is what it is doing. A easy repair, thank god, that I can do myself.



He then tells me he is going to have his knees worked on, the sugery this Wen.



Wow- here I was worried about a seal and he is facing having both knees worked on.



I really hope it goes well- Jerry has been a blessing from god to me since Dad died. He always answers my crazy questions, and gives me good advice. I can see why he and Dad was friends, hanged out together often.

Just watched Seeking Justice. Cage is better in this then in Ghost Rider 2, and looks a lot better. The one thing... and yes, there always is one thing...



At the end when the Lt. asking him if he is sure he doesn't want to join the group of killers- why does he ask Will? Why not ask the woman standing right next to him that freaking proved she could take a life? Kill someone?



And you will notice there was no female killers in the movie either.

Reading a newsletter from a carrier we did military jobs for. Most of you know who read this knows the history:



Been Military approved since 1953.



2/3 of our company income.



We freaking ass rocked at it when I handled the move from start to finish, 100 sores all the time but one 94. Can't please everyone.



About 4 years ago they got the 'online' booking site up and running known as DPS system. We faced working for 32% of what we was use to, and the full valuation insurance went up on claims from $1.25 to over $4.00.



Really- would you work for 32%, with the same bills?



Claims never worried me- but the huge cut in payment did. So we started to withdrawel from the military, finding other ways to try and pay our bills.



A few months ago I started having issues with the military on regulations. I was to been suspended on 8/1 for the financial report that they say showed us being an 'unsolid' company. They requested I put money into the accounts to build up my report, and I said no. I am not taking money from rental property that is making money to support a company that is not supporting itself if it does military jobs as we break or lose money as I am not getting any moves offered, and the ones I am are so far out of my normal range. Let's go 400 miles to move someone 100 miles= I think not. Your system is fucked, pay sucks, and you want me to put money back into it so I can lose that money? No.



They came back with a review. As of the 31st- they are still reviewing me and I am to operate as normal.



Yesterday I was offered a pack job in a town close. Three rooms- bedroom, liv and kitchen. Pay to go pack the items into boxes, bring back to the warehouse, unload, and let it sit till they find a driver. Pay- less then $600.00, and that is with me pushing to get that up from just the 'packing' they wanted to pay me.



And if they get a driver and I don't do the pick up for them- just the packing? Less the $450.00. Labor alone for the packing would be around $200.00, paying myself included, 5 hours for 4 men. Then the fuel, truck still to haul the boxes down- another $30.00 easy. So $220.00 for the packing, taking on the claims. Look around your house, how many boxes do you think that would take? Kitchen cabinets, living room and one bedroom? And they 'wanted' me to pick up the shipment for free really, bring it in and unload it into the warehouse and keep it for them till they could come get it?! All this for $220.00, mind you.



Have you shopped for packing cartons of late? It's a joke that they think I can make money at that, even just packing. So I said No this morning after talking it over with my sister last night. I just ain't in the mood to deal with it, unless I am getting some money out of it. I can make better on local moves. When we get those that is.



*sigh*



I don't know what is going to happen but I know I will not work at a loss. I got my bills paid, and with the kindness of Cat and her sister, I am getting my own personal bills caught up.



Screw them, I say.



What was to of been a historical day of me being suspended out of the military is now on hold till they decide if I am a good risk to have. Never mind they never had a problem with me paying any claims, or bills since 1953. Oh well... we all know the goverment is so smart on money.

Speaking of smart- the military is really relying on the surveys the members make to either suspend or award movers. Interstate Van Lines, whom I am a agent for, sent out a newsletter. In it was this little jew:



It is no longer “business as usual.” We must find innovative ways to improve customer satisfaction. Many of our Service

Providers are going “above and beyond” in order to make the moving experience for the customer a great one.

Here are some examples of special service:



Vacuuming the house after loading the shipment



Dusting the furniture before taking it into the house at destination



Booties for your shoes



Bring coffee and donuts



Bring pizza for lunch



“Doggie bag” - treats for the pets



What are you doing to make a difference?







So we are to clean and feed them now?



Thinking it really is a good time to just take my toys and go home. That is what I am doing to make a difference, I am not degrading myself to get a job that is not paying me but 32% of what I am use to. I am not going along with this, but taking a stand and saying "No- we will not work for nothing. This needs to stop. And trust me when I say movers are getting there, reason you can't get jobs covered now."



Talk to me when it is back up to 100% which would of paid me about a thousand for the packing, pick up of the job listed above. Of course that is taking into account 4 men/ 1 van for 1 1/2 Driving time, about 3 hours packing, 3 hours loading, and 2 hours unloading and unloading of packing off truck, and letting it sit for a week or so till they get in for it. That is when you made money, cleared at least $400.00.



You could afford donuts and pizza then. *looks away and thinks* I still wouldn't of cleaned for them- sorry but some lines even money will not get me to cross. :P



You say I am a bad investment. Funny as I see you that way for my own company bottom line. And I think of it when I pay my Social Security payments in- poor investment.

I have not long moved and it would have cost me a small fortune to organize it professionally so I opted for doing it myself with the help of some amazing friends. I didn’t even go with the insurance as the cost of that ran into numbers that were beyond me. The insurance companies are stuffing everyone right now.

In England, this whole moving trade is dying as people just don’t have the extra cash that is needed, that is a direct reference to our economy which hasn’t been right since Thatcher and the 80’s.

Rightly so you need to get paid a professional wage for a professional job. There is no price you can put on your dignity or pride and just how far does anyone go before you become another statistic of another company that had to fold?!!

I have been truly inspired by a member here. Sahahria, with her journal, has shared her loss of a good friend to cancer. The words she wrote during this time has touch my soul, reminding me of our own family run in with the disease. And while money is tight I wanted to show my support for all the work and effort she has put into this charity event.



It is for a good cause, and who hasn't in some form or another been effect by cancer? If you can give, please do. While I can say I donated in honor of this person who fought and lost his battle to cancer, that would be a lie. I could say I did it in honor of my own Mother who fought and won her battle many years ago, and that is one side of it. She is having issues with skin cancer- seems to never leave the body. And she is a part of it.



But really I wanted to donate in honor of our little Doe. She has faced his illness, then his death with such a strength of will, love, and even hate.
