I took the plunge and enter my first photo contest since in 20 years. Yeap I did it. It is a Home Makers Group in Birdy’s hometown. Her Mom is in the group and I tried to enter last year but did not have any prints, ran out of time.
So today I left work a little early and drove over to enter 5, at $5.00 each. I walked into the extension office meeting room to say in my head… “Are you freaking nuts? They have them matted, on easels. Canvas size. You have unmated 8 by 10, how stupid are they going to look next to these?” I took a deep breath and turned to the lady at the table. “It was for charity, shut the fuck up. I don't plan to win.” I told myself.
And some great photos too. After seeing the ones I wanted to enter she went to find someone. Gosh… guess the decay was not going to go over all that well. * Shut up Birdy* I went to look at the other photos on display and I have to say there is some great photos there. I did see a few photos that could be called decay, one with peeling paint lying on the floor, a old door leaning against a window frame with a rust color leaf laying in the center of the floor.
It was beautiful- the colors muted but for that leaf. I was trying to decide if it was edit that way or not when a man step up to my side. He was there to help me with my photos, also the man who took the photo. It was edit that way.. kind of changed my mind on it then.
After seeing mine we started to talk about urban decay and locations. A lot of places we have both been too, I told him of a few out of the way places you would normally find. Some of the ladies came over and it seems one of my photos could not be used as you could only enter one photo in a category.
So I started to flip thru my portfolio and we spent a hour looking at them, answering questions of where the locations are from him. The ladies made me stop when I reached a Christmas tree shot. “Can you enter that one? We don’t have a Holiday one yet.” Oh… well… sure. Add another $5.00. lol At least that one I have a chance to place in, seeing as there was only two more hours before the show was closed to entries.
So… let’s see. I enter the black and white old farm house. The red barn with the storm coming in. The Christmas tree that was not a great shot but… they just wanted it so badly. A flower shot, Weston asylum in the heavy fog, and the inside of the machines and those tall windows in the power house at a coal company.
Birdy’s Mother is going to pick up my photos since they have to be picked up during the day. She also offered to take the photos if I couldn’t get away today. How sweet is she?
So- first photo contest, suck at the presentation, but donation to a good cause, and meet a man who does urban decay that knows others. That alone was worth the $30.00.
Read the news about the NC woman who killed her two young children, 4 and 7 years old, with a hatchet. She then turned the hatchet onto herself to try and kill herself.
She reportedly said a ‘ghost’ made her do it. That would have to of been a possession? Made me wonder, other then it would be a cool horror movie, what if it was true?
I mean- people say they believe in ghost all the time. But just how far do you believe in them? Could you not see a normal person going so far out with her actions that ‘something’ might of controlled her? From caring Mom to using the hatchet to kill her girls?
Would a jury convict her? Could you raise a resemble doubt that it could of happen like she said? Think of the witness you could call- heck, even the church has exorcism of devils. Put a older, gray headed priest on the stand, let him talk about the devil, demons that walk among us.
This could really be an interesting case. The news reports she is refusing treatment, fighting any care given as she wants to die for what she did. Even that could be turned into the whole “I was possessed, and once I was freed of the demon, I wanted to die for my actions.”
But then- she is on anti depression meds since having a miscarriage, they have already started with the “It is the meds that made her do this.” route. No OJ Simpson case here, it seems
COMMENTS
That's really horrible. :/
I'd be more inclined to think that she had some fort of mental episode though. It's not unheard of to go into a psychosis so deep that not even your own family is recognisable to you. And this all under the banner of being possessed?
She said a 'ghost' made her do it.
that is really horrible. Generally, people who 'hear voices/entities' telling them to do things like that are schizophrenic, so that woman's mental health must have been pretty poor. I just wonder how much of a bad state she must have been in to go that far. (Contrary to popular belief, people who have schizophrenia aren't so harmful to others, its more harmful to themselves, for example not eating, sleeping, keeping clean we just tend to think they are violent because the media only focus on gory stories).
Anyway, how come the folk who prescribed the meds didn't realise she was in such a poor state mentally? There is a huge difference between being depressed and believing that she had to take the lives of her children and then herself because of a ghost.
Meds and hormones from a miscarriage will NOT make you murder your family. There is deep psychosis here.
I'm really glad that PAGAN made that point too: There is a popular belief that schizophrenics are more likely to commit violent acts on others than people not suffering from mental problems. It's really not true. It IS true that most harm is done to themselves, not other people.
I came back to say that although I had mentioned schizophrenia, I think psychosis (loss of contact with reality) is a better term because it covers more than just the schizophrenic disorders (5 main types).
Thank you for posting this, it made a wonderful topic for my class discussion today.
I am on board with the folks here- the lady needs help.
But the post was more toward... what if a ghost/ demon made her do it? Can't we, in today's societies, say more people are believing in the super natural? With the Ghost Hunting shows, clubs, web sites, movies that are such big money makers and popular- can't the argument be made that it is so far fetching?
In our House I made a thread about how the success of the Twilight movies and even Harry Potter, have made the teens, and even the adults, a little shy of ... dare I say... crazed with the fantasy. I should of posted it in my journal too.
:)
Loved the feed back.
Aside from the obvious tragedy here you have an interesting question here. I myself wonder about the beliefs that perhaps the judge or jury might hold that she goes before. Does that influence their decision making process? And what's more, is it even allowed?
Yeah well, I'm with you on that VW. There seems to be an awful lot of people who do believe in the supernatural and/or the great power of spirits etc so, in that respect, I do see what you mean. Then again, how many courts take into account strange beliefs when they sentence someone for horrific acts, I think they discount them and tend towards mental illness being the cause. Anyway, great journal :)
Thank you two for coming in with the Ghost question. It would be intresting but I do think a judge would not allow any kind of defense like this, as Pagan said.
My sister went to law school. She did not finish, but we always end up in some great debates on news like this.
Nothing like having something to do, so I can get my payment going, and everyone will not shut up. lol :)
Between the phone calls, which would not bother me, if they would book a freaking move.
No I do not move storage buildings, not that kind of mover.
Sorry you think me going 25 miles to the next town, pick up 48 boxes of flooring/wood *saying the store is going to load it made me smile... trust me, they will waste enough time my guys will say fuck it and do it themselves* and drive it 80 miles to your house and unload it into your garage... sorry that $350.00 was way too much. Kiss my ass bitch. You are buying the wood cheap, find a pickup and a trailer.
Then the freight driver.. such a sweat man. He put my extension folks on the folklift. Suckers are heavy, made out of steel. I pulled up to them to swing them on and he said "Just stay there- let me get those for you honey." Ahhh.. and I only looked at his ass once as he bent over. ;) I even let the 'honey' go.
Now I got the work done, the $75.00 bill faxed along with the survey and it only took me three hours between the phone and the freight coming in.
But what a day- lower 80's. Sunny. I really wish you all could be here with me, in my office, the door open, fan blowing on my face. Such a happy Rat.
It is the little things that make life rich. :D
What is Dirty Girl?
Dirty Girl is the annual opportunity for women throughout the country to take on a 5k race peppered with military inspired obstacles and raise money for the fight against Breast Cancer.
Our own Morrigon is taking on the Dirty Girl challenge. But she needs funds. Not a huge lot, but enough to enter, get some things. It is all on her website for this event-
http://www.visualechoes.net/dirty-girl.html
If Morrigon tells me that at least 7 people off VR has donated to her goal, and I don't care how much, just that you did... then I will post my own boobie shot. 7 is my lucky number so... 7 it is. And not including myself. :P 7 from this date.
Why do I care? My mother is a breast cancer survivor. She lost a breast to it over 20 years ago, but is one of the lucky ones as she was able to fight and beat it. So many are not so lucky.
And I want to see Otter covered in mud. lol
------
That is a re post of my journal a few weeks ago. Yesterday I got to see some nice boobs as Birdy and Cat joined in the boob shots. And we had fun doing it. lol
Still waiting for the total of 7 donations tho... so gets your donation in.
Several ladies on the site have joined in on the photo shot so you can see lots of ta-tas if we get enough donations. ;)
Ladies - you have about a week to get those photos taken just in case we have to put up our end of the deal. ;)
COMMENTS
Oh ladies you do have a promise keep. I'll be putting up my end before the week is over.
Otter has given her answer- we have meet the goal of 7 members donation!! So ladies get those boob shots ready.
I have 4 already - and looking for 3 more. ;)
Lots of boobs going to be shown around here today.....
;)
COMMENTS
Wait, what it's TODAY?
No. Just taking my photo today. ;)
Ohhhhh I should dooooooo that tonight tooo!!!!
YAY for boobs! :D
Where the boobies at?
O.o oh yeah.. guess I know what I'm doing Tuesday.
Yes ladies.. time to get those photos ready. Once Otter tells me we have hit the goal of 7 members donating, I will be calling on you.
Yesterday Cat asked me what I wanted for my birthday. It is still ... next month- end of next month. Funny as Birdy asked me that same question the day before.
I really need nothing. So I am thinking.. and she asked if I knew the Photobucket account was due. She had pop onto my account and must of gotten a notice or something. She just renewed it for me. :D
Birdy, after I said cash was fine as I really did not need anything, said she would take me out to dinner at a REALLY nice restaurant that we both love in Lexington. It is where I usually took her- the food is freaking the best I have every ate. :D
Sis has gotten me lots of gifts this last three months as my "birthday" ones. Bras, shoes, socks, tshirts, and many other little things I will never remember to list.
Great when you have family like I do. And I am very thankful for them all.
COMMENTS
AAAWWW that's sweet must be nice to have a real sister
What a nice post, you are blessed :)
I'm sure they are all very thankful for you :)
Hurricane Irene must be a hell of a storm. Watching the Mayor of New York talking on TV as I eat a late lunch, the steps they are taking for this storm...wow. Never seen them do that before.
And Washington DC, the airports closing.
Must be one hell of a storm.
Hope all effected by it stay safe.

Being in the city, I`m worried myself. They even said that if it gets worse enough that they`ll shut down the transit system here. I hope everyone makes it out well and it doesn`t get that bad.
Yeah just been watching the news about that. Hope everyone keeps safe :)
You know--- you fucked up the whole day. I had the stress of yesterday trying to set this up, then you just cancel it a hour before we was to start.
And when I could of spend the day catching up on shit, your fucker.

LOL the Inspiration poems are great! I keep clicking to see what will come next. Made me giggle because the phrase 'Repentance! Repentance!' pops up quite a bit...do ya think thats a message to us all? LOL
Lords I hope not. :)
I am dreaming of…
Crispy mornings that make you grab a sweater.
Seeing my breath as a white mist.
Frost on the grass.
The hills alive with color as the leaves turn colors…
Rust, orange, red, yellow, browns… my favorites.
Pumpkins.
Dried up corn stalks.
The crunch of brown grass under my feet.
Darkness coming earlier, leaving later.
Coolness.
Fires in the fire pit.
Cooking on an open fire.
I am dreaming of…
Fall.

...my favorite season!
You said it all. Bring on fall!

I wish we had fall here.
Gives you dirty looks........cause I know what comes AFTER fall......dang old winter....
After the heat of this summer bring it on baby!
No no no no no. You put that doll away. I'm not done enjoying the summer yet. I want another 3 months of summer please. I'm having to wear my hoodie in the mornings so I don't get a chill before class. Not a fan.
Ahhhh.. poor Abby. Sorry but the votes are in. lol
*digs out the snow doll*
Ever just wish for a good heavy rain storm? With wind blowing, thunder, the streak of lighting?
Tonight is the night I wish for that kind of storm.
I love to sleep with that kind of noise, energy about.
COMMENTS
I always have the best sleep when it's stormy outside. :)
What!! No whinny cat in the mix?!! lol
I so need it to be quiet when asleep :-s
I am so jealous.
Can I have your guest bedroom? :(
Always Badger... always. :)
Strange day for me....
Great morning, long drive for a small move, done by 11:30. The morning was cool, windows down, radio up, fog along the river. Nice day... can almost feel Fall in the air in the mornings.
Then called the bank as I have not gotten a payment/ notice my loans are due. After a few items looked up it seemed I did not update my own personal loan info as it was paid off. I know I made a chunk of a payment when I got money from Dad's estate when his family sold the family farm but.. I swore that was used to pay off my credit card. Anyway- what that means is I am free of debt.
*cheers*
Only one loan that is the Rental Company. I have paid two thousand on it already tho... payments just because I knew it was there and it is over my head. Time to hit it with monthly payments, but still got property taxes to pay this years so I might wait till December, see how much I have left over at the end of the year.
Then off to do the running for Sis. Returning a few things. Taking a few things to be repaired. Went to CVS to buy the toilet paper and paper towels on sale- then read her note to use the $10.00 coupon that got me to buy the diet Pepsi I needed. Such a smart shopper. 4 packs for .60 cents. And I have soda for two weeks. Hey= I don't do coffee, so :P
So made me think of Robin. :)
Wow- all I can say dude is... you have got a set of balls on ya.
Is it going to change anything?
No.
But you got it out of your system so...
Good for you.
Profile from a member who has blocked many of us---
No dudes.
No generic rating pics, plox.
Honestly, I don't care about ratings. Please don't leave a comment with just "10", that's boring. Surely you're capable of saying something with more than two characters.
I so want to post--
Sure I can. I can even spelll all my words right. So you want me to say something? Ok. Your profile sucks. Good thing you don't care about your rating as it will be a 1 from me.
Hope that is enough 'characters' for you.
You bitch about people needing to take the effort to rate you, leave a personal comment on a profile that gives you nothing to comment on? Wow. Talk about boring.
Ta ta!
But of course I wouldn't post that.... ;)
COMMENTS
Such a lady.. lol
*snorts* You know it! lol
Hahahahahaha, you are a riot and definitely right.
Umm. What in hell is "plox" ... ?
No clue Badger.
LOL!
I love your comeback...you should have sent it!
It's strange how he/she made a to-do over nothing, really.
plox=shitty gamer way of saying please.
Can be shortened to plx or plz.
Just throwing that information out there.
Thank you Abby. :)
Saw this on the news, found it on YouTube. A whale says Thank You to the folks who cut it out of fishing net that was slowly killing her. Take the 8 minutes and watch it, it will make you smile. :)

That was insanely touching -- provoking tears and smiles.
Thank you so much for sharing. I have such a soft spot for sea life.
Pure beauty. ♥
Thank you so much for sharing this.. it was spectacular~
Love that one- I posted it in my journal a month or two ago.
Made my day :-)
Happy tears. Beautiful story :)
I have just edit one of Badger's boob photos. :D Come one gang, donate to the Dirty Girls breast cancer awareness event and see some of these great shots. I know Moonie is planning a sexy as hell shot. And others have stated they would put forth their own boobs to help raise money, and awareness.
We need more donations from VR members to post the boobs photos, not asking for a lot, just what you can afford.
Here is Morrigon's website and links to the event. We only have a few weeks left. Want to see the ta-tats? Then donate what you can. :)

You should post all of the pics in your journal and play a game of guess the boobies. ;)
Ohh... I like that. PD- you are sending in a photo, right? ;)
o.O HAHAHAH THAT - is a funny idea, PD! Pony up the breasteses!
Are we doing just boobs, from the neck down? What kind of shot are we looking for?
Any shot you want. I am only doing a neck down one tho. :)
I just did a interview with Pagan. :)
That was fun, after I gave myself the night to get over the whole..
"What do I say?"
"God I hope she corrects my spelling, grammar."
"Sure Cat and Birdy will not mind what I said about them.... *grins*"
"Ok.. I can do this, damn it."
lol
Thanks Pagan, honored you asked me. :)
COMMENTS
hey, I loved it :D
You know, I get quite nervous after asking folk...its the "oh crap, did I really ask them that", and "omg have I offended them by saying that", "should I have said something different...?" and sometimes, I wonder if I have earned myself a one-way ticket by having the cheek to think they have time to spare for silly old me. LOL
But. No-one yet has been anything other than brilliant, y'all know who you are guys :P
Thanks VW! Delighted you said yes and I'm sure the Cat and the Birdy will love it too :D
People here are great, I just want to share what I find out in my interviews with folk who might never get the chance to see what I see in the characters of VR.
You were great.
I have one I'm filling out now, kinda scary lol. Can't wait to read yours!
Uh Oh.......bites nails in anticipation.
And I passed my DOT exam. :) Archs are fallen- reason my feet hurt more. And got a touch of carpal tunnel in my right wrist. The Dr, who knows I have no insurance, told me to take a sock- roll it up and put it in my hand, lose grip and wrap my wrist and palm with a lose ace bandage. That way I will not clinch my hand while I sleep- which I do. And it will keep my hand bent in the right angle to ease the pain that is waking me up.
The spot on my back is a cystal? She said it was small, nothing to worry about. If it gets bigger, or starts to itch, hurt I will need to have it cut out. As in a few sitchs cut it out. O.o She could tell I was turning green at the idea, and told me she had seen people let them get the size of a egg before having them cut out. I, she told me firmly, was not going to let it get that bad. *gave me a look of I am not kidding* :)
Eye cheek went well. The lady let me read the line with both eyes... so I remember the letters so when I covered one eye at a time, I passed. I think she let me cheat, telling her my eye issues of late with the weather. lol ;) Oh.. don't start with me. I would never drive if I couldn't see, unsafe. But I do need to get my eyes check soon, I can tell.
Lab work Monday AM, been over a year, so...she is requesting it.
:)
So while I was laying on the exam table * chair was hard as hell and my back was hurting so.. screw it*, waiting for the Dr. I was thinking of Dad. How I am his age of me being 5 years old. God he got around so much better then me. Then I was thinking he had pains, I am sure he had them. He was still a over- the -road driver, gone for weeks. Makes me wonder what my health will be at 82, his age when he died. Sad... I know he could out work me most of his life. Made me sad, almost cried... about the time the Dr. walked in. We chatted, talked. I guess that is the reason I don't mind too much waiting a hour and half past my appointment time as she takes the time, talks to you, ask and listens. She asked if I was taking the anti depression pills still but I stop them before Dad passed away, trying to stay off them. She took the time to talk, asked how often I cried, upset, work, family.
So that was the Dr. visit. TMI I know. lol
;)
COMMENTS
Hooray for passing!!! And for memorizing the chart! ;)
Congrats on the DOT exam. Sounds like you will be kickin' it for awhile yet :)
=D COngrats, Ratty Rat Rat!
Thanks guys. :D I went a few weeks early in case I failed the eye exam, gave me time to go get a check up and glasses if need be.
I'm glad you at least take time out to get an M.O.T and look after yourself ;-)
I still have that list of shoes the foot dr gave me....if you want to see it.
Congrats on passing the DOT exam!
Friday is going well. Slept good, till about 5:00 am, what I get for going to bed early. So I read some. Now time to get to work, do the shopping for all the family, then an estimate with the day ending at the Dr. office. Nothing wrong with me, just my meds are up and DOT exam needs done so I can renew my liences.
That does have me worried a little. Last time I almost failed due to the eye exam. And this year my eyes are so clumped and swollen, itching from the allergy.... let's just hope I can read that little print all the way down the hall.
Ok- got to get my day started so the weekend will be here that much sooner. :)
COMMENTS
Tell them that your allergies are bugging you and ask for some meds to clear it up and take the eye exam in a week? :o
And allergies suck. Try some warm compresses on your eyes to get rid of the gunk. It won't help the itch, but it should get most of the goo out.
:) Thanks Abby. I used some eye drops Birdy had given me. They really helped.
Going to bed to read.
Yes- I know it is just after 5:00 pm.
Don't judge me....
:P

It is old age we understand. lol

Don't forget the glass of wine and some chocolate ;)
*stealthily slides out from under the bed and unbuttons the butt flap of your footie jammies then hauls ass while you accuse the laughing and pointing Requiem*
Damn it Badger... stop stealing the covers... there is cold air on my ass.
LOL
We all should just have a book night, I would be the one that could not keep her mouth shut, talking too much. ;)
hee hee. I'm like Speedy Gonzales.
Went up to Mom's, taking lunch. Sis tells me that I had a package on the TV. It is my birthday gift *over a month away* from Mom.
*hugs the book she has been wanting for two months to her chest, knowing the local library would never get it*
:D
And I was within a inch *holds fingers together* of asking Joli to take the time out of her busy life to send it to me, and I would send it back along with the cost of shipping it to me.
But now... now... :D
See me in bed early tonight, and not just because of the last of the office move we got going on in the morning that starts early.
*happy*
Mom would buy me all the Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys, Science, Mystery books I would read as a child. She always said a book read is a lesson learned. No matter what kind of book.
Can't wait to start this one.
Miss. Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children is the book, in case you wondered.
COMMENTS
oh damn, I need to get back to that book...so good so far
Well now I get to borrow YOUR copy. :)
I would have been happy to! I'm so glad you have it now. What a good mom!
I am so jealous.
Let me know how it is!
What a wonderful day. The temp never got much over 70 outside today. :)
And one customer for the day called to say just how much she loved the boys. :D
Only bad thing of the day one of the guys mother was put into the hospital for chest pains. I offered to go pull him off the job but they said she was just put in and they knew nothing yet. I got no call so.. and he was in off the job a few hours later.
Hope she is Ok. He really loves his Mom.
Lunch, in the office alone, I watched the show Curiosity from Discovery Channel. Stephen Hawking explaining why there is no god, how we came about, was a great 42 mins of learning. Makes you think.
Tonight I am going to watch the one about if the earth was invaded by aliens, how it would happen. Sure I will learn to look at it in a different way.
Great show, try to catch it online if you can.
COMMENTS
What's the show called?
Curiosity on Discovery Channel
I wanted to see the Stephen Hawking one. =(
I watched it online PD- if you wish I can find the link again for you.
My sis. I had no more the started cooking dinner and she called to ask what I was eating tonight. "I got chicken in the ref, in a zip lock bag with a little marinade. Going to try one of those pre mixed pasta dish with it that I got a few weeks ago, and some mustard greens. Slice me a tomato and onion up. Might do some corn bread if I have any mix. Why?"
"Oh- I just got done cooking. I had you meat loaf, some roasted vegs and a mashed tatters. Brownies for dessert."
She thinks I am starving when she should know I have food since they *her and Mom* are buying my food. :)
"Well.. I already got the chicken in its marinade so I have to cook... but I am going over to Cat's tomorrow afternoon so I can eat it for lunch on Sunday."
That made her happy.
:)
I had planned on cereal, but hey.. I never turn down her good cooking. She already sent it up to me by my brother. Extra brownie in case I wanted one tonight.
Got to love family. I am one lucky girl... yes I am.

=) Yes. Now. COme get me. I want a brownie. :)
lol You are your sexy toes just need to move closer. :)

I love grateful hearts...I really really do!
I am pretty lucky as well....in Rat and Cat :)
Talked to both Cat and Birdy today. Seems we are not in touch with each other as much of late. Birdy is still in her honeymoon stage, and they are shopping and looking at houses to buy.
Cat had kids this summer, then the heat has effected her. With her sister having Dr. appointments left and right- it seems we don't talk as much.
But then you have those calls like today....
Birdy "What are you doing?"
Me "I am standing here with a green face."
Birdy "A green tray?"
Me "A green FACE. Doing a makeup look."
Birdy "Oh. Well we just made a offer....."
Funny how that green face did not phase her a bit. LOL
Then a call to Cat after I tried to get the makeup off.
Me- "I really need to get some cold cream. That is what Moonie said would get this stuff off."
Cat "That is what they used back in the day, my mother used it."
Me- "Like noxzema"
Cat "That is cheap at the dollar store, easy fine."
Me "Ok, will have to get some. Washed my face three time already and still green."
Cat "Use some Crisco"
Me *shocked* Lard? You want me to put lard on my face."
Cat "Yeah. It is not like you are going to sit there with it on you all night. Just a little, use a hot wash cloth to wipe the makeup off. Then wash it with your cleaner or soap."
Me "Ok... uh.. I have some of."
Cat "Keep you from getting out to go get some."
*pics me with lard on her face*
Me "Ok. I will try it."
:D Goes to show we are still sisters. Birdy was not taken back when I tell her I am green, and Cat told me to put lard on my face.
;)
Great to have friends like these.
COMMENTS
I have to know ... Did the lard WORK?
I did not try it. Some dial soap got it off. :) But cold cream is a must buy soon.
The best part of a good friend is knowing that anything you say will not be judged but can and will be used to torment each other for ages. :)
Who is the most wicked? Witch Makeup. :D
Unedit-
Then edit ones for fun-
Great way to start the weekend, playing with makeup. The hair is a wig, one of the new ones Cat helped me find on ebay. Under $20.00, long and curly. LOVE IT! :)

That last picture is really quite stunning. :]
Aaaawesome!
Thank you. :) I gave myself a beauty mark instead of a wart. lol
The lashes are so long, they laid downward on the last photo. I must of moved it while playing with the feather ring, moving it about.
wicked! :D
It is hard to be green...
And even harder to get this shit off.
Thinking of a photo for the boob shot. Cupping my breast, muddy hands, a pink ribbon made with makeup on the top of my breast...
Have to set up the tripod, remote with that shot.
And need more donations to Morrigon's fund raising event, see below.
But Moonie, PD, TLDG, and trying to get Req/ Badger to show her ta-tas to.
What a show all these ladies would be. :)
Just take a donation to see them.

Hell, you can even donate for me to NOT do the ta ta pic.
As long as you donate it doesn't matter.
WHooooo now! Wait one dang second Moonie. NO ONE said anything about paying you to not show the ta tas.
If anyone does.. well... I will donate to make you do it.
:P
I want to see those babies. lol
And you was the first one to join in with me- you HAVE to do it now.
:D
We're trend setters, baby! ;)
I'll have to set up the tripod for my shot too. lol
Can a little hummingbird get in on this too?
Help save the TaTas! A little goes a long way. Donate and I'll add mine to the line up!
Hell Yeah!! Got all kinds of boobs going on.... with enough donations given. ;)
Do you like boobs? Want to see mine boobies? Really- I will post my own pushed up, corset bound boob photo (within VR rules) if you do one thing. One easy little thing.
Donate some cash to a good cause of a Dirty Girl.
And I want to see Otter covered in mud. lol
:)
Thanks Joli - I came up with this after reading your own journal.
So go... donate what you can, help show her some support, and let the boobs reign supreme.
COMMENTS
I'll donate! And I'll even throw in a corseted boob shot for the cause.
So... if you get 7 people Rattie.. besides me and you.. let me know.. I'll add some tata's to the pot. :D
Oh YEAH! If I could I would donate again just to see that shot. lol ;)
Let the love of boobie win!!
Come on folks- mine are not that great but Moonie has a pair anyone would envy.
:D
Wait - if I donated before the tata offer happened .. does it still count? o.o
I wants TATA PICTURES!
I loves the tatas :)
But. I am not offering my tatas. I have scars.
Well Badger.. it was after this post. Sorry. :(
We just need seven. Of all the members on this site.. a buck each... come on guys. Help us support our boobs.
o.O
Oh you know what I meant by that.
Ok folks- we got one donation done.
That means 6 more people need to donate.. 1, 5, 10.00 any amount.
Yeah- we are one closer to the ta-tas show!!
I was asked when this was taking place- the Dirty Girl event. You have to the first week in Sept, if I am not wrong. So come on folks... just a little cash gets the tatas.
GET THE TATAS!!
Count me in.!
Then we are down to 5!!! Yeah!!
And since you are in = and I know you are a woman - I will expect that boob photo if we get those other 5.
*big wink*
:D
Boobs! Boobs for everyone! I'm in on the boobie idea.
My mom is also a breast cancer survivor. She had a recurrence and had to have a double mastectomy. Her sister also had it, so it's a cause close to my heart and closer still to my boobs. Go girls!
I will donate, and I will sport my girls in support too. ;)
If I can figure out how to cover the surgery scars I'll share my tatas. :)
After Joli comments this is a must do. Come on folks... let's get this down.
I have two well known Sires who are on the fence of adding some boobs shots of their own. Let's show Otter and the Dirty Girls she has doing this some support... sort of like a push up bra.
;)
Still at one donation only. Promise of three more so.. that would be 4 of the 7 needed.
Hey- that is a tshirt! And more then enough. :)
Support is shown in more then one way, and Otter needs to know we want to see her in covered in mud!!
And the boobs saved!!
I will have to count but I think...3 more? is needed.
:D
We are cheap, but not free damn it.
Dear Customer of this Day-
You sucked.
But maybe I should not of be so rash.
Still.....
:P
:(
COMMENTS
lmao!! oh lord I loves these post . I do feel sorry for you for the fact that you have to deal with stupid people . but it is funny when you post it here.
Been so rash..
I need a drink.
Thanks for that comment. :)
If only people would post in their Coven/House forum as much as they do in the Sandbox.
COMMENTS
I post more in the coven forum
Me too. :) Just you see it being so active, shame they don't put the effort into their Coven/Houses.
Of course they might. *shrugs*
I agree completely! Also,I wish they did not give post count to sandbox posts.
What Oceanne said is soooo true.
Last night I flip over to Little House on the Prairie TV show. It was Christmas and they where sneaking around, trying to make or if they was lucky, buy gifts for each other. It was heart warming. Seeing the little cabin, the loft above the girls bedroom, while the main floor was the kitchen, master bedroom. The joy in their faces of simple gifts, home made toys made with love. A meal prepared on a fireplace, turkey fresh from the woods.
I sat and watched them, the joy of a simple life showing on their face. My own family stop buying gifts for each other years ago as we just didn’t need anything. And that spoke volumes to me last night. It was not special anymore.
Yes I know the actors was acting. I know they was on a movie stage someplace, lights and cameras all around them. But they do portray what it was like back then. I know illness, hard work was also part of the time period but I had to envy them a little. I sit in a prefab home, no window open but A/C unit running, laptop, cell phone within reach.
It makes you see just how out of touch we are with earth, with the seasons. Right now in my area wheat would be harvest, canning would be in full swing as you stock up for winter. Livestock would be looked at for the lean winter months, the unwanted butchered for winter.
Would I go back in time to live in a little cabin in the woods with no eclectic or modern day toys? Yes. Give me a wood burning stove and shade trees and I would. I think it would be fun to split the difference. Farming of animals- yes. Growing my own food- yes. Bathing outside in the warm months- yes. No lights but candles and oil lamps- yes. Washing my clothes by hand- yes. A bathroom with a toilet- yes. And a tub for winter months. I can wash my clothing in the tub during the winter.
I can get by with a lot less then I have now. Who doesn’t wish to pitch the cell phone some days? The laptop and emails? Just get up with the sun and work a few hours on feeding the animals, tending the garden before it is time to cook? Then rest during the hottest time of the day to finish at the sun set.
Would that be such a bad life? I really don’t think it would. And this last year of hardship at work has taught me I could do with a lot less then I had. And I can still cut back now even.
Maybe the cabin in the woods would not be such a bad retirement.

That sounds like a perfect idea :D
See? We do need to mere households. :)
When I was younger, my parents took me to visit some relatives that lived out in the country. When I had to go to the bathroom, they pointed me to the outhouse. Oh, HELL no. At that moment I realized that no matter how much I would like to live in the country, I could not go potty outside. No way Jose. My bladder and sphincter freeze right up. I keep imagining boogey men reaching up thru that hole to drag me right to hell. :P
Dexter I have missed you. The blunt way you have at handling those who piss you off, the looks of a killer, the pleasure you take at dealing the deadly thrust of your blade. All the while doing it with family and friends watching you, believing in the good man that you try to be, have to be in front of them. But we know better, don't we?
October the 2nd... and I have you back in my life.
:)
God is good.
Or so they think.

Same goes for the sound byte- changed it once, and got bitched at...lol

I love this one, Rat. :)
It's cool. :)
But.....I personally think the avatars of yourself are so much cooler. You have some pretty damn cool images. :P
Do you think the government has come to realize you can't spend what you don't have? Took long enough- can't bail out all these business, banks, etc. when you don't have any returns from it.
People who don't have work, no work, are not paying taxes. That means you don't have the cash flow to waste.
The government is where the people have been for a few years now.
Be a long time before this changes, I fear.
Is it bad to envy that her family had two weeks to say good bye to her? To share time, to get use to losing her?
But then I think of how Dad always said he wanted to go fast, unlike his own Mother who laid ill, then at our own home for weeks, before she passed.
He went the way he wanted, and I am grateful for that. I should be grateful.
Sometimes we make death more about those who are left behind I think.
*lays in bed and listens to the storms, as the sun breaks*
Storm is coming.

Youre right.
*Big Hug*
Hugs VW
Maybe they really needed that two weeks to right things. I don't know. From what I've heard from you, Dad knew where he was with his family and you knew where you were with him. Love was clear and present. What more can you ask for than that? I hope I am as secure in my family's love and they in mine. I also hope that I don't hang out too long in some bed when it's my time.
And you ARE grateful. And human, so not grateful every single second...and that's always ok. *hugs*
::hug love::
We were both lucky in this way my mom and your dad both wanted it fast and nearly painless, as I think it must have been. It made it harder on us but I'm glad it was the way they wanted it to be even if it hurt me more. Doesn't make us not miss them like the dickens though. *hugs*
Someone remind me to take out the pork roast butt at 9:30.
O.o
Only bad thing about living alone.
COMMENTS
Someone will remind you,Im sure.:D
Don't forget to take out that roast pork butt at 9:30. Have a few Tequilias and a couple of Coronas and the time will go smoothly by. It sounds delicious and if you can cook like that you should not be living alone!
ciao,
vladstick
I know! We should move in TOGETHER! We'll trade off cooking, you can teach me how to be a girl and put on make up, and I'll giggle and make you rum runners!
Sounds like a match made in hell.....lol
Badger you got a deal. :)
It's 5 days later...did you ever take that roast out? ;)
This song reminds me of my Aunt Eva. She was always the wild child in my mom's family. I remember her and her hubby coming to see us, her blond hair all fluff, tats, heavy makeup, short shorts with halter tops, as she rode on the back of their motorbike. She always said what was on her mind, and took anything you said to her to heart.
After the motorbike it was a shinny flashy car, she still the outspoken and fun Aunt we all loved to see, spend time with.
She passed today, just after noon.
Ride free Aunt Eva, the pain is done and you can be with your hubby again.

So sorry for your loss. She sounds wonderful.
I'm sorry sugar- seems you and girls have been doing this alot-I hope that you can find comfort in the good memories you all have, and take care of each other.
Sorry to hear that :(
Oh, I hope your memories of her keep on smiling inside you - she sounds simply amazing. :)
I'm sorry for your loss.
Sleep is a wonderful thing. And being able to stand without back pain... even better.
Now for country ham, eggs, gravy with yummy biscuits my sister gave me. Ok... she sent me the ham too.
:)
Then what to do today. Laundry is a must, ask is dishes. Since it is already 11:00 am I take it is going to be a lazy day.
Star Trek newest movie is here by Netflick so I might be watching it a few dozen times. Did you know that show would not of been if Lucie Ball did not put money up to produce the first TV show? Lucie would of been 100 today. Might read some online about her life, such a great lady.
Ok- off to cook.
Seems the guy who was busted for drug selling/ malf of drugs that lives across the street from me is moving. U Haul in his driveway, and sis said he has been at it all week.

I bet it's nice to see him go, eh?
The things you learn reading journals.....MMMMM RUM SLUSHY!
At work before sunrise, home after sun set. Damn it feels like old times. To bad we did not have Spring into Fall workdays full of these, like we use to.
But we will make it... this week job, which was done on time, no damage, and under the estimated cost, will go a long way to paying some past due bills. :) No pay for me yet but we are good.
And yes- I said this week's job. Eye Dr. home packed and loaded, his office the same, and moved 120 miles one way... and really was done a day early to my time frame. :D He was happy, guys got overtime and a nice steak dinner at the end tonight, and I got some bills caught up.
Now this sore Rat is going to bed, sleeping in till 10:00 am when I have more estimates to make, jobs to try and sale, and payroll to iron out. Throw in the shopping for Mom/sis/brother, any running they need, is the end of my week.
I see KCRC was on my profile today. I miss him, hope to see his face around more often.
Ok.. now its bed time, night all.
Came home about half a hour ago, and my sister sent me some home made chicken and dumplings she had made.
Remember- we are super slow at work so I found whole chickens on sale at Kroger's last week, the chicken she used.
I found about 8 little bones in the soup, chicken.
:)
It made me remember the one time the family let me make the fruit salad for Christmas dinner. I used grapes, but not seedless grapes.
They really rubbed it in with the spitting of seeds, laughing at me. It was all in fun, of course.
So when sister ask me the next time she sees me how her chicken and dumplings were... :D
Payback is a bitch. ;)
But then I did enjoy not having to cook after being on my feet, in the heat all day so....
Hmmm....
Maybe a few months from mow I will kid with her about it.
COMMENTS
mmm...chicken and dumplings... :D
I read the excerpt and thought immediately of my grandmother. She used to make the best Chicken Dumping soup. I wonder if I can find someone who had her old recipe? Thanks for the reminder :)
I love making it, but Stabb won't eat it :(
It must be a southern thang.
You know that comment in the "What are you eating thread"? Well I would like to officially strike that comment. I'm not into gagging on tiny chicken bones.
