Birdy - these are for you. Thanks for being a sister.
Know you love these, took them a few hours ago. You should have seen the long line of them, at least 12 feet tall, sun behind them.
Thanks for calling and giving me your ear. :)

oh wow I love sun flowers , you gonna collect the seeds and dry them ?
Nope. They was growing beside the road, in front of a garden. At least 12 feet tall. I asked the man who was picking some corn if I could take some pictures and he said I could.
:)
So cool....really love the 2nd one.
AW shucks.....wasn't much to listen....but I DO like the pics. Sunflowers are so.......cheerful ....I do love them. Thanks!
Cave Hill Cemetery was the place we went first once we got into Louisville. I have always heard of this place- the money spent on the grave stones. Have to say I never expected to find what we did. We stayed for three hours and I think we only saw half the place.
I can not find out how big the place is, but it is huge. And so different then any other graveyard I have been to. Why? It looks like a garden. The place is full of trees, slopes instead of a flat plot of land, ponds, waterfalls, a gothic looking office building.
The place is stunning and it would be great to return and spend another three hours. These picture do little to show you the beauty of this place. It is art- the trees, ponds, the graves.
Day time tour got me the picturees I wanted from this weekend. :) It is such a lovely building, the shadows, the light play. The rust color, marble flooring.
The black painted walls and artwork are part of the haunted house they do every year for the month of Oct. Must raise a lot of money and that is good as you can see in these pictures the work they are doing on the building. Heck- just the cost of replacing the windows and glass would cost close to a million I would guess. And you can see just how clean they are keeping the place, very little dust even.
Anyway- I love these pictures and the two people who ran this historical tour in the day light was more friendly about stepping away from the path, taking some pictures. The one man just asked me stayed where he could see me. So I was able to set up some pictures, remove the tour of 18 others out of the pictures.
And there was some older folks on this one, lot more calmer and show of respect to the location, unlike the night tour.
Here are the pictures- very little edit done to them, worked a little on the color levels is all.

Those pics inside the place gave me the chills/creeps! Can't wait to hear your take on what went on there.
Wow, I would love to go on one of these tours.
Creep. Eh.
This is a wickedly spooky place.

lol I bet you do Cat. Had to go into a field to get the truck lined up to the unload location, and into it to get out as the driveway was blocked by the time it was unloaded.
