The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

I've had sleep paralysis several times in my life, and each time I saw the same horrifying hag of a woman. Each time, she was standing on the other side of the room from me screaming, all the while I was unable to move, speak, breathe...and I was terrified. It feels so real.

Just now waking up for the day really because I stay up all night, blugh, any way, I need to catch up on my house forum...desperately. I'm behind. Maybe I'll do that, slowly but surely.

Oh no. I've listened to all of the Belief Hole podcast episodes. Now I've got nothing to listen to. I need to find another channel that discusses actual encounters with the paranormal, as that is all I've been interested in lately.

So, I deleted everything off of my profile. Now I have to work on it. What will I put there? Not much. I'll work on it tomorrow.

I really wish I had photoshop again, ugh. I want to work on my profile and on the main page of the house, but yeah, I don't have photoshop any more. My profile has said the same thing for years, and it's in desperate need of an update but I don't even know what I would say on it for real.

My dad and I are both obsessed with the paranormal. It's funny because I can bring something up and he knows exactly what I'm talking about. Or, he brings up a book to read and I've already got it. lol. I just appreciate that fact, and it's obvious where I got this interest.

I quit smoking almost a year ago now, and I'm so happy that I did. It just happened to cross my mind because one of those commercials came on, you know, "a tip from a smoker..." and then they proceed to show someone in really poor health/condition. Yeah, I'm so glad that I quit, but i smoked for ten years, so I don't know.

You know, I may look dumb but I'm not stupid. lol.

I woke up with a killer headache. Last night I managed to improve the house's standing even more, we moved up a few places on the house page. This morning I see that NR has overtaken us...for now. lol. I love the competitive aspect of trying to improve your society's standing.

Haha, it's a little more interesting with some friendly competition. Though, in reality, I'm not too bothered by the standings, I'm more focused on creating a place where my members feel at home, and I think we've achieved that.

If you're interested in the paranormal, I suggest you listen to this. It's a podcast in which they discuss the stardust ranch. It's pretty freakin' interesting.

There's this book that I want, but I'm super broke right now, lol. It's about Stardust Ranch and the experiences the owners had there. Think similar to skinwalker ranch, but more...obscure. I guess.

So, I've officially seen EVERY SINGLE VIDEO on the Beyond Creepy channel. Now I've got to find another channel that discusses paranormal encounters. Any suggestions?

There are things I need to do, but my cat is sleeping on my chest and I don't want to move him. I'm also listening to the belief hole podcast. UGH, I want the answers to life's mysterious questions.

Not too long ago, I went on a watercolor kick and painted a lot of crappy pictures. lol. I want to get back into it, but right now, I have massive art block and have had it for a few weeks now. UGH.

So, yesterday I removed thirty members from the house, which helped to increase our overall standing and we are no longer at the bottom of the list of houses. Ultimately, standings don't mean much, but I'm happy with this development. I feel a sort of sense of healthy competition. haha. I'm just happy to see things going in the right direction. As far as the forum goes, it's plenty active, and I'm glad to see it...I just wish I could bring myself to be more active in the discussion threads.

Beyond Creepy has quickly become my favorite youtube channel, and because of it, I have not been able to sleep at night for the past few nights. When it comes to the paranormal and claimed encounters, surely everyone that comes forward can't be lying. Surely there has to be something to it...but what? It's one of the great mysteries we have left, and it's so fun and spooky to contemplate.

The one thing I have not done as house master to really make the house my own...is remove any members. I'm thinking of removing the bulk of inactive members. The only thing is, that would impact my ability to mark a certain amount of people. I don't know, decisions, decisions.

I am struggling with that as well. On the one hand, I don't want to get rid of people who founded Nocturnal, who were there from the beginning and built it up. On the other, I don't want a bunch of dead profiles taking up space and dragging down my numbers. It's a hard decision to make, for sure. Especially when getting rid of inactive account will affect your ability to Mark members.

I ended up keeping enough members to mark the active members, but still cut our member base in half. I'd like to get rid of more to be honest. ugh. Although, I don't think that this has improved our house standing at all. Not sure what to do about that honestly.

My forum is seeing a resurgence in activity, that I most certainly appreciate. That being said, one of the more active aspects of our forum is the discussion thread section. These days, I'm more of a sandbox guy. haha. I'm in the mood/have the preference for really quick posts that don't require thought. I don't know why that is, and it is likely to change. It's difficult right now for me to post in the discussion thread section. Not sure why that is. However, I'm going to be making myself post to that section as it's not fair to leave it for the members to carry on their own. It's funny how your mood can change though...not too long ago, the sandbox was the bane of my existence.

I'm feeling...really positively in regards to my house, it's beginning to feel...well...I don't know. I had a specific atmosphere in mind when creating this house, and we are definitely getting there. I've got some great members.

I've been obsessively watching videos on the Beyond Creepy channel on youtube. I'm thoroughly creeped out. The paranormal is strange to say the least, and to make an obvious statement. You should totally watch this channel.

Just an update, I've closed several threads and moved them to the appropriate section for dead threads...but now the forum is empty, and creating new threads is far more difficult than closing existing threads haha. I'll think of something. I can at least post to the existing threads that remain open. I'll be doing that, slowly but surely.

I've been away for a while, but now that I'm back I'm planning on redoing my house forum. I don't think that anyone is currently active as a member, and that's fine, because I have not been active myself, but I still want to clear out what's currently there and start fresh.
