I'll admit it. I'm a Final Fantasy VII compilation fangirl. I have been ever since the original PSX game was released in 1997. Right now, I'm finishing my first run of Dirge of Cerberus, and anxiously awaiting the U.S. release of Crisis Core.
I've also been known to indulge in FFVIII, FFXII, Kingdom Hearts, Unreal Tournament, Resident Evil, and Guitar Hero.

Artistic and Creative Endeavors

I have renewed my love for writing. I pen mostly sci-fi and fantasy, but lately I've been working on a very long FFVII Advent Children based fan fiction.

I have a passion for video editing, photography, and graphic arts. I love working in Photoshop and Apophysis, and I enjoy making anime music videos. I will also take on the task of teaching myself Maya soon. With few obvious exceptions, the graphics on this profile are mine. Please visit my portfolio to see more of my creations. Personal Philosophies

My life is only as good as I make it. If I'm not happy with some aspect of it, then it's up to me to change it.

Every choice comes with consequences. I am the only one responsible for my choices, and so I am willing to accept the consequences. When I fuck up, I own up to it and fix it. I DO NOT play the blame game.

Good and evil co-exist. There cannot be one without the other.

Respect is not automatic. It's earned. You won't get it unless you give it.

Everything that I do in my life will come back to me. EVERYTHING!

It is better to wound with the truth than to scar with a lie.

Knowledge truly is power and experience is the teacher. All of my experiences, both good and bad, have taught me something of value, and made me what I am today.

Random Things You Wouldn't Know Otherwise...

I was a competitive figure skater from the time I was 7 until I was 15.

I'm an Army brat.

I was in the Army for 7 years, and worked as a paramedic. I was also a Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician.

I've been around horses most of my life. As a teenager, I trained running Quarter Horses and barrel racers. I can also ride hunter/jumpers.

I am a mezzo soprano, enjoy karaoke, and can often be seen singing to myself in my car.

I build my own computers.

I'm of Prussian-German and Irish decent. My ancestry has been traced all the way back to the early 1300's. I was raised bi-lingual, speaking German and English. I love languages, and in my travels have picked up some French, Russian, Arabic, Farsi, and Hebrew. I'm trying to teach myself Japanese and Mandarin.

I'm a Gemini. I live in my duality and I love it! Zero to bitch in nothing flat really does apply to me.

I was born at midnight. My great-grandmother said that made me a "chime-child."

I have a fondness for swords and other bladed weapons. I'm also pretty handy with a staff.

I have only one true religious intolerance, and that would be $cientology. I'll leave it at that before I go on a rant best saved for another time...

More About Me...

As a general rule, I'm a very happy person. I've worked very hard to make my life what it is, and I like keeping that way. I don't have a white knuckle grasp on emotional baggage, I keep my distance from drama, and work damned hard not to create any.

I'm very comfortable with who I am and what I am. I really enjoy being me, and I really enjoy my life. My life is the journey, not the destination.

I enjoy learning and doing new things. I'm proud of my accomplishments. Many of the things I've learned, I've taught myself. I can be a bit of a research rat, so it's not unusual for me to get interested in something and then voraciously read up on the topic. My father once told me that there was nothing I couldn't do and nothing that I couldn't learn if I just set my mind to it. He was right.

I take pleasure in simple things, and I'm often easily pleased. I see a lot of beauty and wonder in the world around me.

The Rant Box

While I may be a happy, mild mannered person, there are some sure fire things that piss me off. I'll preface this by saying these are just my opinions. You may also detect a bit of sarcasm, but that's just my style. This is the part where I stop being polite.

Ignorance - It is NOT bliss!

Dishonesty - This is especially true with people who seem to be
pathological liars. They have no honor, and don't need to be a part of my world.

People who discriminate against others. These people are shallow, ignorant, and cowardly. No one should be judged solely on the basis of skin color, religious practice, sexual preference, or gender.

People who constantly create drama drive me to distraction! If you want drama then turn on the fucking television! Constantly bitching, whining, and moaning about your life won't fix it. It's YOUR life, YOU fucking fix it! This doesn't mean you can't ask for advice or even ask for some help, but don't sit on your ass and expect someone else to straighten things out for you. Otherwise, see the quote at the top of this page.

People who tell me I'm too old for whatever, I laugh too much, and that I should grow up. What? Please tell me you're not serious while I surgically remove the stick from your ass! Let's get something straight here. I'm a generally responsible person. I go to work, pay my bills, and take care of my business. I AM grown up, but I'm going to have fun and enjoy myself, too! I honestly believe that my outlook on life is the reason people think I look much younger than I am. Just because I'm over the age of 20 doesn't mean I should stop watching anime or playing video games.

A note on rating profiles:
I have no bias about free versus premium members. I try to rate everyone in a fair manner, and I try to rate everyone who takes the time to rate me. I'm a minimalist, and I'm fully aware that not everyone is going to like my profile. I got over trying to please everyone a long time ago, and I can handle it. Can you?

Pages filled with gibberish, hate, one-liners, and other such nonsense aren't going to get a high rating. Pages that load slowly due to an overabundance of quizzes, graphics, and videos won't get a 10.

I want to actually read your profile. Spelling and grammar weigh heavily with me, so use a spell-checker or grab a dictionary and at least make the attempt. Leave the AOHell baby-speak and "leet" speak where it belongs. I'd also like to be able to see the text on your page. If I have to whip out my Super Secret Decoder Ring for any of these reasons, don't expect a 10.

I will re-rate profiles if you've taken the time to update and drop me a message. I know that we all have lives and can't devote every waking moment to creating the most kick-ass ever VR profile. Some people here don't even know how to create a profile, and that's all right. Ask and others will help.
