"Time ages us all, whether by looks, or by experience... death doesn't escape us"
If a person is to judge by looks, than it's a sad world we live in, so I find no need to describe what I look like. I do take care of my body, disdaining from alcoholic beverages, drugs and smoking.
I am a religious man. I am no scholar and I don't wish to be perceived as one. I am no "Bible-thumper" for I believe actions speak louder than words. Even an Atheist can find the virtues and wisdom of the Bible to be relevant.
Here is a favorite verse of mine. Psalm 91 if you wish to look it up:
"You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you."
I meditate by either walking, training, or simple sitting in an open field.
At this moment I would like to thank you for being able to find the time to actually locate me and read my profile, it may be small but it's enough to make an engaging conversation.
I practice many martial arts and forms of weaponry. Dedicating more time than an "amateur" or enthusiast might be more along the lines of what I do and strive for.
In Taekwondo, we have six tenants that help form a better life: Integrity, self control, indomitable spirit, perseverance, courtesy and best of all: Humility.
I have taught people self defense as well as different art forms. I do have students that are still around and teach others, whereas I don't teach no more.
If I could offer any words of advice for anyone who stumbles here, please, listen now. If you find yourself in this world being just another person. Stop and strive for more. Realize, this culture of America is to graduate from high school in which you have been brainwashed to either get a job or go to college to become in debt to the system. This leads to buying materialistic objects that will put you further in debt.... YOU are better than this. No one on their deathbed ever wishes for one more day at the office, or another three thousand dollars in their account. It's family and friends that matter. How you changed peoples lives is what really, truly matters. We are such an egotistical society basing ourselves on the "ME" aspect. Do you know why so many people wish for an Apocalypse? Why so many are preparing for an impending disaster? It's because there is more to life than this. We have been herded and beaten to accept what is here, what others have done in previous generations. We all want to be free, we all need a revolution. It's only when we free ourselves will humans finally find peace. When we all will have something to live for:
"The two most important days of our lives are the day we are born, and the day we find out why." ~Mark Twain
I, myself, am very cautious in picking friends, so do not expect to be my friend just when you add me. (Mind you, if you added me as a friend, tell me.) I choose carefully and wisely, for I trust no one, but only keep true friends, who are like me, close...
"One man's life can echo through eternity..."
