I happen to agree with the three fold law...although I'm not sure agree is the correct term for it. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I have my own opinion, as with anything involving religion everyone will interpret it differently. I for one think that people in general should always choose to do what's good. I don't mean what society may tell them is good, but what they feel is good. I think it all comes down to incentive, or meaning. But then again...if you're intentionally harming somone then there's no way that can be any good. This is probably always going to be a case of constant contradiction for me haha. So I'm going to stop rambling. I'm giving this article a ten simply because it's a unique way of interpreting the three fold law...as a way of constraint and restriction.
It is the tradition of our family that one respects power and so one is careful about the things power comes to. It isn't about controlling those in the group so much as understanding power itself. Power is not controlled, nor does it do one's bidding whether that person is good or evil. Power flows as does the light of the sun and water where it will. Many a witch has learned lessons the hard way about that and perhaps the Wiccans are just trying to protect their own from stupid mistakes. In our beliefs, power comes to those who have sacrificed or prayed or who are worthy of assistance in a matter not because we control power. Those who seek to control power only end up controlled by power and those situations never end well. So I'd say from our traditions, that perhaps a do as you will but with great respect and caution addition might be added and warranted.
