Big in studio shoot planned. Going to work with seven amazing models that were all part of the Mercedes-Benz show this year, plus a 30-year veteran make-up artist and two young but very creative make-up artists.
By the time we get there, I'm betting we'll have a fashion designer or two in house as well.
This is going to be fun!
I haven't been on much - my apologies to those in my coven. Things have been very busy with the new job, and it seems like I have photography requests every other day.
Events, fashion shows, casting calls... planning a big in-studio day a couple weeks from now to helps some new, amazing models build their portfolios. A week after that a model is coming in from out of town just to shoot with me for a potential SG spread.
Fun stuff, but it keeps me busy.
On the job, I am basically getting a new business up and running for a guy set on retiring in style. Interesting - I'm learning a lot from him and this has some serious potential.
I might even run some ads for it here on VR once it is rolling.

:) Wishing you the best Birra. *hugs*
YAY! Do remember to let me know next time you're in Toronto or going to be :)
My new project is coming along. Took some time to research and learn, and being patient with myself while I practice and learn more. But, I have four completed items.... some, better than others... they look good and are functional. I will keep learning and improving.
Like anything else I've ever done, whether it be framing a wall, making a bed fly, body paint or photographing a fashion show - patience and keen observation. Self-teaching is about making mistakes and improving with every brush stroke.
Tomorrow I will begin celebrating my birthday. She is coming over in the morning and spending all day tomorrow and Wednesday with me. The anticipation of this is an amazing feeling. Someone wanting to do this. It feels like it has been....
...well, honestly, my whole life. I can't recall a time when someone insisted on doing so much for my birthday - going so far above and beyond just trying to make it special.
She is plotting a seafood feast all day tomorrow. Wednesday will be my traditional lasagna and pumpkin pies, and for once I won't just have to make them myself for my own birthday.
How cool is that?
Had a productive interview with a recruiter today and my fingers crossed for an amazing opportunity in front of me. Things are moving along with the other project, which could be equally amazing....
I need some good things to break open for me here. It has been a long road of struggles and heartache over the last five years... I can be optimistic some of my patience and hard work might finally be paying off.
Here's to better things.

Made it a double?
Long road, indeed! Had to pump up my sneakers just to keep moving... But, that's what badasses do. Adapt or die... And, I'm feeling pretty long-lifey these days.
Glad you had a great time with the lower sin of Gluttony (told you, it should rate higher)
Yes... a meeting on a Sunday. I even missed the Bills game for it.
Hosted in my office, of course. I treated my guests to home made humus, strawberry bread and carrot cake cupcakes. It was productive. It was insightful. We have a track and a path. Our target is early January. This is going to be tough to hit, but I think with a solid, collective effort, we can do it.
The rest of my day was spent just being awesome.
I've decided on a side-skill that I will be working on as well. It will be fun, and hopefully financially productive.
Life gets crazy. But today was one of the good days....

Bills games are made to be missed... Especially, for hummus and anything with strawberries. Theoretically, root canals qualify, too.
Being awesome does accumulate awesome expenses -- just some friendly advice from one awesome person to a newb.
Newb?
Please.
I've been awesome for years longer than you....
