Setting: Medeval Germany
Scene 1: Sparta wakes up to find himself in darkness unrecognizing the aroma of the place. He spins to find light but see nothing, a voice comes to him. Unfamiliar with it he asks "Who's there?" the voice responds dry and wheezy, "Sparta you do not yet know what lies in store for you. In your previous life you were a warrior, you were also a Great Wizard and a healer." Sparta replies, "Who are you, and how do you know all of this?" The voice only replies with a faint "Remember..." then fades. Startled Sparta starts say, "Wait, How do I get out of here...What am I supposed to remember?" All of a sudden a bright light fills the entire place and Sparta finds himself in his bed.
Scene 2: Sparta walks outside to find himself in a different town then he remembers falling asleep in recognizing the smell from his dream he know there is no going back. So he starts to ask questions from the local villagers. As he approaches an old woman she starts to scream and yell saying, "Get away from me you little devil. I don't want you around me...GO AWAY!!" As Sparta struggles to calm the woman down the local guards take him into custody. In the dungeon he makes quick friends with an old man who teaches him to wield a sword, though the only one he has is battered and worn. Sparta does not hesitate to take the sword for it is the only thing he truly knows how to do. Many years go by and Sparta grows up. Soon he finds himself back out in the real world.
Scene 3: Sparta takes his new freedom and starts work as a hunter. Gathering meet of wild boars fighting them with his sword until one day he runs into a man in a hooded black robe. Startled at first the man explains why he is in the woods all by himself "I was kidnapped," he says "by a group of mercenaries." Feeling compelled to help Sparta follows the man to the Mercenary camp where he, at first, hides in the bushes scoping out all the men noticing that when night falls only three men do not get drunk. They were his targets; he brushed up on his techniques and set off to attack the next night. Night Falls the plan is going off without a hitch. He walks right into the camp while the three sober men are in a tent. None of the other men in the camp pay attention to him. "Perfect," he thought "with these guys unable to fight the others will be easy to kill." Sparta hides just outside the door of the tent. The first of the three comes out. Sparta ever so quietly sneaks up behind him and dispatches him. "Easy...” Sparta starts to get cocky when the second man comes out he tries the same thing. The man spins around to say, "Are you here as a new recruit? Let me take a look at you...You you look like you can handle yourself." Sparta decides to play it cool an does what the man says, "Lets go see what you can do." the man leads Sparta into the woods to test him "I know how I'll do this one in," thought Sparta. While in the woods the man tells Sparta to take out his blade, and perform some tedious tasks with it. Once Sparta finished the man handed him a scroll and told him to see the third man, it was time, without hesitating Sparta brandished his blade and sliced the man down. Feeling good about himself Sparta walked back into camp and started for the tent when he was stopped by a man wearing a uniform, "Papers," he said. Sparta, at first, thought "I'll just kill him," but then remembered the scroll. "Papers," repeated the man this time with a little more force in his voice. So Sparta handed him the scroll. The man read it then said, "Okay go on in and give this to Greeves." Astonished Sparta started into the tent.
Scene 4: Sparta walks in and looks around, a voice somehow familiar says, "Hello Sparta." Sparta without hesitation says, "Greeves?" With a quick response the voice says, "You come looking for a man who never existed, the man you had wished to help was the mercenary leader. He was escaping because I was looking for him. His men never even knew the difference..." suddenly the tent filled with light and Sparta recognized who it was he was talking to. "Master...” he said astonished.”Yes that is what you once called me," he said in an irritated manner, "but do you remember the rest of our deal?" Sparta responded with much hesitation "Yes, but you have to realize...." Cutting Sparta off the man said, "You didn't even think about helping me escape, they were taking me to the gallows when you were simply hunting for the very people who imprisoned you. You wanted to get them back for taking away you childhood you wanted to get to them by setting me free didn't you. Your intentions were never good ones they were only to get your revenge on that old woman you so desperately needed to question. She knows your true intentions, when you were her son........ I've said too much." in a flash Sparta's master was gone without a trace or an explanation. What did he mean when he said her son, "how could I be her son?" Sparta thought as he wondered back into town.
Scene 5: Sparta awoke the next morning still dazed from the activities of the previous night. "Where did he go..?" he thought as he got dressed,"and what did he mean by when i was her son?" The questions that would burn in his mind for a long time. Walking through the town Sparta saw the old lady once again, he contemplated of approaching her once a gain but decided against it when he saw the guard, "not again" he thought. As he walked around, the questions still floating about his head, he came across a knight. "Hult!" exclaimed the knight, "you can not enter without the kings permission." "Where is the king?" asked Sparta, the knight did not answer. Depressed Sparta turned around and headed into the woods. As he walked in the night air, a fog settled in around him. Without warning Sparta found himself surrounded by a pack of wolves.
Scene 6: A moment passes as Sparta hesitates in fear, then the leader of the pack approaches him. With a look of curiosity the wolf sniffs Sparta, then looks deeply into his eyes. Sparta tries to hide his fear, but does not cover it easily, as the wolf studies Sparta something happens. Sparta's legs feel like noodles and his chest like lead....he falls. As if in a dream he sees the wolf, "Who are you?" asks the wolf. Sparta replies with his and his father's name. "Ah," says the wolf, "i see you don't really belong in this time." Startled as to how the wolf knows this Sparta asks "What do you want?" instantly the wolf replies, "I don't want anything, me and my pack were simply hunting, but found you instead." he continues, "Do you know your purpose yet?" Finally Sparta might get a straight answer as to why he is here....exitedly he replies, "No, can you tell me?!?!?" The wolf simply looks at Sparta and disappears. Sparta awoke, to his surprise, in his own bed.
scene 7: walking around his old room Sparta started to realize that nothing was the same, wondering why he was back in his own time period with no answers as to why he was there in the first place he tried to leave his room. The door would not budge. "Is this a trick?" he thought, "Could i be dreamin...." and just at that moment before he could finish his though he was awoken by a stable boy for town. "Damn!!" he thought, "I was sure i was out of this mess." The stable boy asked him, "Are you okay Sir?" Sparta did not answer. He was angry and could not find the words to answer the boy. As he walked into town he finally found the words. "I'm fine boy, what were you doing so far in the woods by yourself?" Sparta asked the boy. "I was sent to find you sir." the boy replied. "By who?" Sparta asked. The boy replied "By an old man, he said you could teach me to use a sword."
