These jerks stole my idea!!!

"New Dell laptop introduces wireless charging"

http://www.dell.com/us/en/business/notebooks/laptop-latitude-z/pd.aspx?refid=laptop-latitude-z&s=bsd&cs=04

The new Dell Latitude Z can, with a $200 option, charge itself wirelessly (without having to plug it in). It does this through induction, a technology first introduced by MIT. The laptop has a special coil arrangement as does it's charging platform. When you place the coil/computer on the other coil (though you have to get it just right to work) an induction charge is formed allowing the laptop's battery to charge across this small distance.

Now, I and the Omni Group have been working on EM Induction for around a year. Of course Dell didn't actually steal my idea for the project I'm working on allows for computers, cell phones and other devices to be charged across the room, hopefully up to 30ft without causing problems for other devices closer to the charger. And in time for much less than $200.

It is nice though to see that it's in the marketplace, albeit in a very basic and simple form.

Sadly the economic collapse cost me $5 mill in research money/yr so I may not be able to complete things before another person/group legally beats me to the punch.

Arg! My back is hurting worse than it has in a very long time. I've been taking proper medical action but to no avail. Hopefully a good nights rest will help.

I go to my therapist in the morning.

I got a copy of the documents filed for my name change (btw court date is set for Nov 10). As I was reading over them I noticed where they called me "her" on the last page, final section.

That's always nice lol. I may be a bottom but I ain't no wannabe chick! LMAO

There's one quick and definite way to get on my permanent bad side. Waste my time.

The past 4 days I've been talking to a guy who contacted me via Craigslist (thanks person who told me to use them...lol) about some coins.

We talked, bargained, chatted on the phone etc and he said he really wanted them.

The price $614, the value $900.

So I hear nothing from him yesterday and then just now he sends me an email telling me something came up and he'd "keep in touch".

What a load of crap.

Don't even think my name unless you're seriously interested and if you're going to spend more than 1 day of my time then make it worth my while and at least buy something for a couple bucks.

Stuff like this really pisses me off. I don't mind someone saying they're not going to but after 4 days?

Does this make any sense to you?

Several more banks are being shut down due to the economic crisis. The Federal Reserve is considering tapping into their $500 billion credit line with the Treasury to help shore up other banks on the brink of failure.

In other words the Fed (which btw is not a government body) is wanting to take out a loan to pay off debt.

Last I checked both the Fed and Treasury are on the verge of collapsing themselves.

That's like using a credit card to pay off a credit card.

When will people learn (regular citisens, large companies like the Fed and the government) that debt never solves anything and that it's a stupid idea?

If you can't afford something you don't deserve to have it. Simple as that.

I'm poor which means I don't deserve a $250k house. I do deserve an apartment because I can pay for it and dang it I'm darn happy to have it!

Every few years I take the "Nolan Chart" political test and each time the results change. Here is my current standing.

I've moved from "middle conservative" to "right top lib", to "strong top lib" and now "left of top lib".

The reason why I'm not a strong total libertarian (according to this chart) is because I do think we need social safety nets like Social Security, although greatly changed and not mandatory.

This is one of the few "quizzes" I feel everyone should take and unlike the dozens that clutter up most profiles it actually says something real about a person.

If you'd like to take the survey visit:

http://www.nolanchart.com/survey.php

It's just 10 questions and they don't ask for your name, email or any other information.

(If you want to put your result in your journal or profile you'll have to "screen shot". If you don't have an actual screen shot programme you can hit the "PrtSc SysRq" button next to the F keys and then open up "Paint" paste it there and resize it. Really it should only take a min or 2. Then upload it like you would any other picture.)

Yes I've served in various military related roles and even have a uniform (though not an American one) I've never been able to actually be in combat.

I don't support the federal government but I do support the law and would like to have had the ability to put on some fatigues and go kick some ass.

It can be pretty annoying having to come out to someone every few days. At times I do wish there was some actual "gay look" or something.

I'm not stereotypical, I don't speak with a lisp or flail my hands around like some epileptic monkey and I don't blab about it 24/7 in reality (just online to annoy myself and others). I'm just a nice guy who happens to be gay.

But that isn't good enough is it? No, you have to ask or assume something like "Are you still dating that girl?" and then I have to say "no I'm gay". Of course that generally leads to "Oh, you are?" with a look of puzzlement or disapproval. Or you get the ever pleasant "Oh wow cool you're gay. You know my brother's gay, do you know him? So what made you turn gay? Do you take it up the butt?"

We aren't freaks to be questioned, mocked, starred at or in any way treated other than the rest of you.

On occasion I don't mind answering people's questions, telling them I'm gay etc but in this world (which seems to still be based in 1850) things aren't that simple.

Stupid America, stupid humanity, stupid curiosity.

End Rant/

So I watched the "Labyrinth" last night. I remember seeing it maybe 10 years ago or more and any time fantasy films come up in conversation my friend goes on and on about how cool a movie it is.

In my opinion the worst part of it was actually David Bowie himself. During the singing scenes he looks like some random 50 year old wannabe singing in front of a mirror. The acting....well there really wasn't any acting on the part of any "person".

Now, the puppets, animatronics etc were actually pretty good (considering its age). The parts where you had split screen photography etc were all poorly amateur. I really don't see how this thing cost $25 mill to make.

Honestly, I want that 101 minutes of my life back.

I've taken on the greatest challenge to date in regards to coins.

One of the biggest problems facing coin collectors and dealers (especially of high value coins) is that of assured coin verification.

I have started creating a unique coin identification system that will use visual, chemical and electromagnetic processes to label each and every coin I grade as it's own unique coin.

Say you have a PF70 coin (the most perfect grade possible) that was given to you as a gift or has some other special meaning. If someone else has a PF70 coin and it gets mixed in with yours there is virtually no way to tell them apart.

Now you might ask, if they're the same coin what's the big deal? The deal is 1) your specific coin has special value to you AND your coin also does have features that make it 100% unique even though to the eye it's the same as other coins. And of course in reality no two coins are alike, even with the same grade, the same that no two of anything are alike.

By utilizing these unique properties I will be able to tell every single coin apart from every other coin.

Coins which are placed in the "Complete Unique" system will have a unique 18 digit code, a high resolution photo of the whole coin, both sides, and a few other charts etc of the things which make that coin unique. The coin will be encapsulated in such a way as to not alter the features.

One draw back to this is if the coin is improperly handled, even if it retains it's PF-70 rating the ID features may be disturbed. But as long s it remains in it's case there is no risk of this.

The cost of this service will be around $500 per coin. Coins with a value of over $10,000 will be entered into the "CU" system for free.

For the next week I'm going to try and work out all the details and figure out a way of getting the equipment needed. Most of the actual technology and processes involved will be proprietary but should anyone be interested in helping me acquire the equipment feel free to send me a message lol. (We could even work it out as an investment type setting)

This equipment has been chosen to insure that there is no risk of altering the coin in any way.

No coin grading company has any service anywhere near this. The only thing remotely similar is that of some diamond companies which engrave specific ID codes onto high dollar gems. Of course with coins you don't have the luxury of engraving, even if you can't see it. Plus the idea of marking a coin, any coin, for such purposes is highly unethical in the numismatic world.

By the end of this week the copyright and patent process will be well on it's way.

When I turned 20 I started writing an autobiography but after 5 chapters I gave it up. (There were some reasons but I don't care to get into that)

Now I wonder if I should start writing a new one, one that would include not just the story of my life but things like my philosophies, political ideals etc. I think it would give me a good jumping point to really bust out the 3 books I've been working on for the past 2 years. Basically the bio would be a baby step allowing me to write the other books far more better than how they're going now.

Ideas ideas.

So my whole weight issue thing is really freaking me out. Yes, I have an eating disorder which makes me deathly afraid of getting fat BUT at the same time the idea of being 6'2" and 118lbs, knowing that if I drop much more weight I'd be in the ER scares be even more.

I don't want to get fat but I also don't want to die by wasting away. So, the past few days I've been ordering pizzas left and right, just ordered one online lol

Let's see, today I had a meeting with a lawyer to get my name changed. The name change only costs $207.50 his fee however is $750! Oh well, it's mom who's paying since she was the one to give me my 3rd last name (via adoption) and then divorce the guy :) (eh, the divorce wasn't entirely her fault to be honest the guy was an absolute jackass and actually beat me once)...wow first time I've ever mentioned that, ever.

I've been working on creating my own numbering and grading standards for a potential new coin co I'm working to start in association with a heritage organisation. Hope it works out. I've been associated with this particular group for 3-4 years now.

Well the numbering is just my way of keeping track of the coins. Each coin has it's own unique number that includes type, date, mint, grade, special info and when I got it all rolled into a 8-12 character code.

The grading standards isn't new so much as my own personal standards focusing on coins that could be either, for example, an EF-45+ or AU-50. A way of making that easier. And developed more specific details about the difference between not just the basic grades (F/AG,G,VG,F,VF,EF or XF,AU,MS,BU,PF and PF70) but all the grading numbers 1-70.

Something that the major grading companies keep to themselves.

I was going to re-tell the story of my personal experience during 9/11 but really I just want to move on. No one really cares about the OK City bombing and in 20 years this will be all but a memory, one which we did nothing to solve the problem, one where we moved back not forward and refuse to learn it's lessons, only to give in to fear, lies and political bs'ing.

What happened was sad, terrible, frightening and brings one to anger. What's happened since and now as a result (directly and indirectly) however is even worse.

I LOVE my coin dealer! For one he has a massive selection and his prices tend to be low but he's also in the habit of giving me things for free, discounts, rounding the prices down etc. I'm able to build my own collection, buy things for other people, buy and sell and usually offer free shipping if need be all because of this guy.

One example for today would be, I bought $25 worth of Indian Head cents which comes out to $0.96/ea, well the avg value of them is $4ea! Now usually for something like eBay I try and get as much as possible but for folks I know (in person, online etc) I'm able to sell things below book value, make a profit and give them a chance at having great items with great value for cheap.

I know this sounds sorta like an advertisement which is making me a lil sick lol but it's not meant to be one. I just really love getting deals and then being able to offer deals to others.

I've been collecting since 1997 and I know what it's like to be charged $50 for something worth $40 that they bought for $20. People need to make a profit but not by practically robbing their customers. I have no problem knowing I'm giving someone profit, paying more than they did as long as I'm still getting a deal compared to most places and so long as their nice, professional and upfront about things.

Plus my dealer practically gave me a Morgan silver $ for free on top of everything else lol.

I've only been going to him for around a month but I've spent nearly $1,000 so far. (remember most of the time I'm buying for someone, I ain't got a grand to spend on anything lol) And it's nice to have a place in town so I can get what I want when I want and don't have to pay $15+ for S&h.

Have you considered getting a metal detector? That's something even you could do and getting coins that way, they're free. You'd be surprised how many silver coins you can find, especially down there (down South).

I used to and actually did find some decent coins that way. Now however, where I live, it would be seriously difficult to find anything. If I ever find myself living outside of the city then I may do that again but for now it's easier to just buy them.

When you take the equiv. of 105mg of morphine but still in pain then you know somethings wrong lol.

I went fishing with my brother and nephew today. We were gone maybe 3 hours and had a pretty nice time. We all caught fish, I caught the biggest one though *woot*. But, I'm hurting like hell.

Well I don't *take* morphine but what I do take is 3-4x as strong. It's just that 105mg sounds better than saying 30mg of what I do take.

I really don't understand the idea of the Constitution being a "living" document. How can any document such as this be living and still maintain it's foundations and power?

I will always uphold and teach that it is a "dead" document and only as such can it still provide us with the best and most stable form of government in all of history.

Well... it's living as in it can be ammended... such as, giving women the right to vote... and etc..

I don't know if that makes it living... just recognizing the original draft wasn't perfect and times change.

I don't think that's what they mean by "a living" document. Rather than proposing and adopting amendments, people who consider it a "living" document think the words of the Constitution can be re-interpreted for use in the modern era. For example; expanding the powers of government by re-interpreting the meaning of "general welfare" in Article 1 Section 8 to include powers that would have repulsed the founding fathers.

I just scared the crap out of myself! I went into the bathroom to wash my face, looked into the mirror and BAM my right eye is all red n such. The left side has become totally blood shot and I have no clue how or why, it looked fine earlier today. Now that I think of it my vision in that eye is a little blurry as well, and it feels strange.

I hope it clears up REAL quick.

I still can't believe that the idea of reparations for American blacks is still swimming around.

I can only imagine what our international friends think about such a thing. Should all of Europe pay descendent's of slavery (and in many cases much greater brutality) for their thousand year history of that institution? Of course not. What about those American slaves who were white, native, hispanic? Do they get reparations?

This is such an insane notion it boggles the mind. Then again this is a different era and with the folks in this administration the idea of reparations seem benign compared to their other ideas, goals and plans.

I once heard about this from military members. They were talking pretty loud about it. So I walked over and said "How can the white man give away what was not his to begin with? My people were the ones who got stolen from and put on reservation. So if anyone gets anything it is us, you all can just go back where you came from as far as my people are concerned". They shut up quick. Though I do not claim it I am allowed all kinds of government loans and grants because of how much Blackfoot runs in my veins. Heh, guess no one ever thing=ks about that kind of stuff, but only 40 acres and a mule. Yeah. And that is my .02

Ummmm did you know that African Americans sold each other. We shouldnt have to pay for what our ancestors did its over and done with.

Get off the cross use the wood to build a bridge bridge to get the fuck over it is my motto

We shouldnt have to pay for other peoples mistakes

Both of you make great points. It's not a widely known fact that a large number of slaves were sold by their own people, tribal leaders etc.

I just can't get over the fact that it still seems so many want this. Like Van Jones, one of Obama's advisors.

Reparations goes against everything we as Americans stand for, most if not all religions and even the foundations of civil rights. You know the whole "judge not by the colour of my skin but by the character of my heart" thing..the same goes for "blame".

Some people offend me! lol So I sell coins right. I have some Morgan dollars for sale for $24/ea but folks have an option of sending in their best offer (granted it's not like I have a 50% profit margin either). This one idiot offered $16, it cost me more than that just to buy em and is also far below the value of the coin. He sent another low ball offer for some other Morgans worth (and priced) a lot more.

I can forgive people for not knowing how much something is worth but when I tell them in the item's description and give a price and then they ask me for 20% or so less it's really insulting.

Just another day in the life of me :) And also the most interesting thing to happen to me today which is why you're getting to read about something so....unimportant.
