***WARNING!! This is not a joke!***

Please spread this around!

A group of creatures called "Xenarthrans" are on Earth! These strange looking creatures have been spotted in numerous areas and there is strong evidence of contact between the Xenarthrans and humans in North and South America dating back at least 2,000 years. However recent evidences suggests that the number of contacts is on the rise.

Due to the way many contacts have been made a good case can be created suggesting that over the next few decades human-Xenarthra contacts will becomes increasingly violent.

A recent paleontological expedition in the US actually uncovered some bones that have been identified as Xenarthran and they were dated to 3 million years ago. (found at Johns Hopkins Uni.) This suggests that these creatures have been on Earth and monitoring the situation for a very long time. They might have even been a cause for humans to evolve the way we have.

Of course there has been efforts made by governments to conceal this evidence in an attempt to hide our awareness and keep us from knowing about the recent conflicts.

There was a report uncovered by sources that shows the University of Florida conducted research on some captured Xenarthans and was actually able to force them to reproduce. Their offspring, in this study, were shown to be genetically identical! This could mean that they have engineered themselves to be self-cloning and potentially could out number humans at some point.

The true origin of the Xenarthrans is not fully known but what we have learned is that they are very resilient, have unusual reproductive systems, are able to reproduce faster than people, are capable of causing physical harm and destroying property (something that has been well documented in Brazil & there's an actual record at the US Library of Congress). We have also learned that there are several types of Xenarthrans loosely analogous to the various racial groups of humans. Some are small but others can have bodies on avg of over 7 FEET!

I've been on VR for 4 years and many of you know me as a trustworthy person who doesn't fall for scams or non-scientific claims but I assure you everything I've said in this is real and verifiable.

I urge you all to take appropriate actions and to warn your friends, family and government reps. that the tensions seen in S. America (and to a lesser degree N. America) will only get worse and may one day soon end with the extinction of either ourselves or them.

If you want me to send you individually proof of what I've said I will but I'm not going to post it on here because I'm afraid of what might happen if I do.

Attention!!

If you like astronomy, stars, looking at pretty pictures and would like to help advance science without having to have a degree check this out.

Galaxyzoo.org

This site is ran by a number of well-known scientific & educational groups. The goal is to let the general public help classify galaxies and other cosmic phenom. The pictures were taken by the Hubble Telescope.

There are literally millions of images that have been taken over the years and scientists & their computers simply can't keep up. If you'd like to help out just visit the site, sign up (it's quick and free), read the easy instructions and get to work.

You may even find something no one else has ever discovered (it's happened for real)!

You don't need any special knowledge or skills just a good eye and the ability to read & follow very basic instructions.

They'll show you a picture and you'll be asked a series of questions (3-10 depending) about the image, you answer them and then move on to the next.

It's pretty fun, takes less than a minute per image and it really does help advance our knowledge of the universe. I've been doing it for 2 weeks, log in for like 20 minutes every other day or so and do my part. I've personally classified over 220 galaxies and it's really cool.

So whether you're "Doc X" like me or a cute but simple "LadyK" (love ya babe, just messing w ya) please try it out. They can use all the help they can get.

AIDS 30 Years On....

You know 30 years ago one of the biggest issues keeping people in the dark, afraid, allowing it to spread in silence and hurting the minds & souls of the people with HIV/AIDS was the stigma surrounding it.

Thirty years later in one of the wealthiest, most educated and "liberal" nations in the world the biggest problem in fighting AIDS and helping those with it is, the stigma.

I don't know about you but to me that's a pretty sad fact.

I'm watching a show I've seen like 30 times about exoplanets (planets outside of our solar system) and I had 2 thoughts. One is just an interesting realization but the other may prove an obstacle to finding earth like planets.

First: Many traditions in Christianity were borrowed from pagan beliefs or had pagan rituals, holidays etc taken and made "Christian".

During the time when the Catholic Church ruled the West just about everything that didn't conform to Christian standards, rules, names etc was either destroyed or altered to make it "ok". Even the millions of converts (in Europe, Africa and the Americas) had their names changed to "Christian names" like John, Mark, Hezekiah and so on.

So how is it that we have planets with names like Venus, Jupiter and Mars? The Church arrested Galileo over his findings and yet for some odd reason kept these heavenly spheres with their names of pagan gods.

I just thought that was interesting, it never really dawned on me before.

Now one to the science stuff.

The question of life on other planets is one of numbers and the numbers say (as well as current observations) that evolution is something incredibly rare and that we may in fact be the only life in the universe.

Our main reason for searching for exoplanets isn't so we can have a list of thousands of cold, dead, rocky or giant gaseous balls floating around the galaxy but so we can hopefully find a planet that either has life or at least could support life.

In order for a planet to support life like ours it needs to have a thick, oxygen rich atmosphere. There in-lies the problem. Prevailing theory states that the vast majority of the oxygen in our atmosphere was created by microbes and tiny plants that lived in or near the oceans. And even today, without these creatures continually producing O2 we'd run out of breathable air in time.

Oxygen likes to bind with other elements and it also has the habit of burning as well as being absorbed by water. Oxygen exists in the galaxy at a level of between 5-10% (of all elements) where on Earth it has been concentrated to a level reaching 30%+ (thanks to those lil microbes).

So, if an exoplanet lacks life it would seem that the chances of having an oxygen rich environment would be more rare than originally thought.

Just an idea.
