Still alive, just been busy. And when I get home it is to fall into bed. Wouldn't be so bad if this cold would ease up.

A move booked for a day turned into a two day deal, not bad as we so needed the work. Just freaking cold and it is a customer I had to stay with. Brrrr... no help to my cold, or my breathing.

So when I get home after all is done, taking two of the guys home *which adds over a hour to my day* it is hot shower, hot soup, cold meds, and sleep.

Yes I had meds, which lasted 3 days. Think it kind of just pissed off the cold and it has settled into my chest to pay me back. I just keep taking the Vit C, drinking water to try and break it up out of my chest.

Morning we will start a two day office move, which should be really easy. *cross fingers* And this one I can stay inside the office/ heat more then these last two days. But hey, like the guys said, "She must be sick- she has a coat, hat, gloves on. She never ever wears a coat."

Which is true. And no- that is not how I got my cold. I either picked it up at the Dr. office or off someone else who was sick I was around.

Say it with me- I don't need it, I might want it but I don't need it. I have a loan to pay on at the bank. I get that 5,000.00 paid off- then I might think about it.

Wanting something isn't "needing" something.

I need nothing.

Going out tonight? To shop? Hell no. No Black Friday for me, even if it started today.

More into the Small Business Saturday as they are asking you to buy from local shops.

Or cyber Monday- shipping free.

But really- what do I need? Plan is a trip to Hobby Lobby for some winter flowers for graves- Dad, Mom's parents, and my Aunt who has no family.

But if my sore throat, pain behind my eyes, and throwing up the turkey dinner only about half a hour after eating it.... that might even be put off as it is a hour long trip in a car, noise. Don't know if my head can handle that. Yes I said I would support the local shop but thing is- none have any flowers but Walmart. And no freaking way am I going in there this weekend.

Saturday- see how I feel by then, hope this sinus issue easy up by then.

We bought all the things we wanted online already. Most stores are already doing the deals for Monday this weekend. We don't have many local stores that carry the stuff we want or can use, so we don't do that part.

The only reason I'm going to Walmart tomorrow is because I'm out of groceries, and even then, I'm waiting for later in the evening. Provided we aren't fully snowed in.

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving score card-

The electric went out about 9:30am from a blown fuse. While I understand the idea of changing a fuse it seems Mom's house is the old style. And I mean OLD style that looks like shot gun shell.

Ref is off, stove is off, lights off. The turkey is roasting in the roaster sitting in the living room on the coffee table. lol

We called the electrican after facing we could just eat peanut butter but for the ref full of food- which I ran a cord to from the living room. We gave up, our company enjoying that they traveled 100 miles for no food, just the company.

Reminds me of the time the glass cooking pot, remember those old ones? Amber glass- I think they was called Vision Ware, anyway.. we had mashed tatters in one and taking it to the table and she busted, broke right in half. We are sitting in the dark, eating devil eggs when the electrican walked to our down.

"Heard dinner was on hold- can't have that." As he holds up the fuse we needed. Bless that man, he knew we didn't have one and with the stores closed.. we was just out of luck trying to find one.

He is all dressed up, telling us he was on the way to family for dinner when he checked his messages and told his wife he just had to go back home to grab fuse and come put it in.

We took her some devil eggs out, thanking her like crazy, as he put the new one in and the kitchen was back on line.

He is to return Monday to work on the fuse box, going to bring us a box of fuses as well. He left with a devil egg in his mouth and blessing being wished upon him. The $100.00 we made him take didn't hurt. He refused to take any payment but told him he can buy something for his grandkids.

:)

Blessings- they are everywhere if you care to, take the time to look.

So the mad dash is on to finish cooking after the three hour delay, as our company wants to return home to start shopping in the malls. O.o Me? I think a nap is in order. lol I just came home to get the mixer for the tatters as my sister has managed to lose her own mixer, then the one she took from me. Thank goodness Cat gave me one of her old ones she was getting ready to yardsale. :D

I will not leave her house without taking it with me this time. lol

Happy Thanksgiving all!

Trip to the doctor with my mother today, my sister tagged along. Good to have the time together, even if it is in a waiting room. We joked, talked so much they went ahead and put us in the exam room to hush us up. Hen party- party of three.

Mom is slowly losing her touch with reality. I sat, looked at this beautiful woman, thinking how lucky she was. How lucky we are. We are together and I know my mother’s last years will be full of love and care. That is what children do- how we were raised.

But then I started thinking. Of my family- I am the one who will end up taking care of my sister, brother. Due to health reasons I can see that coming, in a way doing it at this time. Makes me realize I need to start taking better care of myself.

But even then- I have no kids. Who will take care of me if I am 85 and losing my mind? Selfish to think I should have had children just so I will not be alone in my last years, taking for granted they would care for me. But the older I get the more I think this. Yes, selfish of me. I am not one to be a mother, kids drive me nuts. I never had the desire to have any children around me, bear any child from my womb. So to have had any would have been … what? Just me being self centered and only thinking about me and what I need. “I never really wanted you but I had to have someone to take care of me and you are it.”

But the time spent with Mom lead to an afternoon of depression, only topped with the cherry of a trip to take Mom to the graveyard and having her ask “Why are we here?” “Are we visiting someone’s grave?” That made my heart just drop, tears flowing. But my sister got to spend some time at Dad’s grave.

Highs and Lows with the emotions, seems holidays bring them to everyone. But I know I can’t worry about what is coming in life, that will ruin the fun, love I have now. Enjoy the here and now; deal with tomorrow at that time. Love those who are in your life, never take this day for granted.

Still… is it bad to want to snuggle in my nice warm bed and read a book till I fall asleep? Well you tell me. Either way I am thinking this is what I need tonight so I can be up early and ready to help cook in the morning. Have to get down early before my one sister ruins the devil eggs. My other sister and I like them to make you pucker; she never puts enough vinegar in them.

Today being:

Slept in till 11:00 am.

Doing two loads of laundry.

Filling my meds up for the next month.

Cooking two meals, and washing up afterwards.

Not getting dressed at all, nor seeing another human being.

Only talking to my sister once on the phone.

Yeap- today was all about the chilling... alone.

Forget the damn Twinkies- I want the SuzieQ's!

Every morning during high school found me sitting in the hallway in front of my Home Room, waiting for the door to be open, doing homework and eating a SuzieQ with a ice cold Pepsi. My sister drove us to school so it was a gas station on the way, under a dollar for both the drink and snake cake. Even when she went to collage and I started to drive myself- I still did the same stop.

:(

To this day that taste brings back so many mornings, talking to Lee Young who was in my home room, doing homework or just sitting, watching all that went on in the hallways.

I went ahead and started on my phone calls I needed to return from the last two days out of the office, trying to get some moves booked... when he comes into my office and ask me if I was on the phone. "Yes, I was." "Well can you stay off it so I can test it?" with a fucking tone.

Went and took photos at the Christmas store. Some shots came out- not really hard to get the shots. More harder to get a good shot that isn't ruined by the price tags showing. I try to move them about when I find a great shot. Been doing this for 3 years and for the first time I broke a orament. Yeap- she feel right off the branch and broke into dozen or so pieces. Lucky it was only a $7.00 one, one of the cheapest there. I have seen $25.00 on some of these- now you know why I don't touch them unless I just have to have the shot.

I tried to pay for it, went out to the car and got the money but they wouldn't take it. :( Said they had customers break them by mistake all the time. I told her it wasn't me 'bumbing' into the tree, I moved the price tag and did not get it back on the branch. She still wouldn't take the money.

I went to the car to leave after thanking them again for letting me take the photos when Cat and her sister spoke to me. :) They had come down to go thru the store. So back in I went. They know me so well as they suprised me later with the one snow men decoration I wanted as a early Yule gift.

It was way to much... but so freaky cool! :)

I will post the photos after Thanksgiving, refuse to do it till then. Unlike the stores I will hold Thanksgiving as a holiday, dang it.

Oh- and I got permission to take photos at a local Harley Davidson dealer in town. Don't know how good I can do as it will mean bending, getting on my hands and knees a lot.

My weekend started a hour early yesterday. With no shopping to do for the family I gave myself that hour. I came home and put on my comfy clothes, went outside and had a fire. Burned some fallen leaves in the fire, love that scent. Enjoyed two hours of reading a book as I laid on the lounger, the fire keeping the coolness away. As the sun lowered more in the sky I got a little cold so I put the fire out and came in for a hot shower. :)

Had cooked a frozen roast with celery, onions, and tatters in the pressure cooker the night before, the meat so tender it would fall apart with a folk. So left overs with just a few dishes to clean up made it a peaceful and restful night. Reading some more to end it made it perfect.

Slept in, nice late meal of sausage, eggs with vegs and cheese. Now to take a shower, get dressed and hit the Christmas Store to take photos. Then over to Cat's to work a little with Adam on his homework, his goals for the week.

I don't know why but this weekend is being enjoyed by me, don't feel rushed to do anything.

Something I hate to do- telling the guys we have no work. Sucks doing it, but it is happening more and more.

Told the guys we was booked up to the day before Thanksgiving a few weeks ago. They was pumped, ready to work, needing the pay.

This week I had one job cancel, so they only worked 4 days.

This coming week I had a job cancel Mon and Tuesday.

*sigh*

Even when I think we have jobs, seems we don't. One was from the new home not being ready, they will not be able, or willing, to move till after the holiday. And the other found a mover willing to work on Saturday, so she said.

So....

Thanksgiving is around the bend and we can't even keep a 20 hour work week.

:(

While it is the season, and it always did slow during this time of year, it would be nice to get the guys two or three good weeks of work for the holidays.

And I would like to get some bills paid that are on my desk, not juggle them around, making payments.

But we all could be so much worsted off. Worsted?

I just have to tell myself that. Folks out there with no work, no homes. Count our blessings.

Just feel shitty when I can't order them into work, knowing they need it.

Think I know what you mean..we had the same issue over here last time and ended up with a hung government. I think it needs brains from all parties tko collectively up their heads together in order to get us out of this western recession.

Cat has been on me a few years now about a photo I took of an old barn, field of corn, storm clouds coming in. I took it about 4 years ago and really think I took it with a point and shoot even. Anyway- she wanted it to hang in her home, a larger print. Last week I was looking at photos to print off and finally found the full size one of the barn. So I, for the first time, ordered a nice print. It is 16 by 24 or so, on canvas. Cost was a little up there but she has always went with me to these places, waited while I climb into windows, step into dangerous places, most of the time before the sun even comes up. She supports me, even when I am climbing over a fences, keeps me from landing face first in the sharp wires. lol

:)

I told her I have never order a photo of mine so large, we will have to wait and see what it looks like.

Just got it in- and I have to say... damn. That really is a good shot. See it going into the photo show coming up. And I know the other one I want to enter. I think I will go away from the decay and might just enter a flower photo. Maybe.. *shrugs* I got till Sat to pick the other photo to enter.

But really- looking at this photo makes me want to see Meeper and Seven's images they wanted to buy large sizes. Of course I just gave them the images, cheaper if they get them local then me having them done, ship them out to them.

Starting to think my images, a few of them, might make some good artwork for walls now that I have seen this one full size. :)

I saw some panographs in a store not too long ago, an entire series of them. They were pretty, but not beautiful like your barn. I'd rather see that on my wall than half the stuff that's actually actively framed and sold.

And I agree with PAGAN. >.>

ohmigawd, I cried for an hour. As soon as that scene cropped up, I started and couldn't stop even after the show was over. Cried making dinner even. That was awful!

But Carl is about to become a hardass youngun, and I am not looking forward to that.

Seems I haven't done much but sleep this weekend. :) Love my curtains, the way they block out the light. And this month electric bill was under 45.00 so... so worth the cost to buy them.

Rest seems to be the order for the weekend. Went over to Cat's and helped a little with the moving of her books to a small bedroom she turned into a library. Really cool room and one she needed many years ago.

And.. well... about all I have done this weekend. lol Other then load of wash, and my bedding. Which I need to make my bed back up as I am meeting Birdy and Cat for dinner in a hour.

OK- Time to get off my butt and do something.

The local library is having another photo/ art show.

Just found out and the photos are due in by the 11th. That would mean matting, getting some printed out.

Lots to do.... is it worth it?

*sigh*

So worn out after all the Halloween makeup stuff... might just skip this one, don't know.

Reading the Halloween Contest poems, stories to get my votes in and I tell ya...the talent on this site. :)

Got my pick for profiles, and artwork down but reading all these might take some time, hard to narrow them down.

Not that that is a bad thing.

You know it is going to be a long long day when...

The first person you see is a pissed off truck driver who wants to know "How do I turn around here?" as he sits in the parking lot that a thousand other truckers turned around in. "The same way everyone else does.." as I point out the U shape drive. He then starts a rants which I ended with "You know what? I have four buildings full of crates just like you have on that truck. They didn't just POP into the building, dude. Trucks just like your brought them in here. Deal with backing up."

He did, with an attitute. I flip him off as his taillights left my lot. Ass.

To only come to the office and the first call even was from a woman who started with "To give you a little of my background.." I don't want your background. All I need to know is you want moved from point A to point B. "I meet this man online, and we would meet midpoint from my home in Ohio. And after a few months I have learned he is not the man I knew from when we would meet at the hotel. He drinks. A lot. And when he drinks he gets mean and tries.." *sigh*

Five minutes later I butted into her tale of troubles "You need what moved?" "Oh- I just have a few suitcases and a vanity table." OOookkkk. "Cost for two men and van, 4 hour min, is $220.00." "Oh my. I didn't think.." more whine... "Why don't you just hire a taxi? They might put the table in the trunk enough to get you moved into this friends spare bedroom. Or find someone with a pick up." "That is how I got down here- a pickup, as a friends son brought me down as I don't drive. Do you know anyone in this town with a pick up?" Let me think- I don't live in that town that is 40 miles away so.. "No, sorry."

Yeap- going to be a long long day.
