Morrigon has been helping me learn how to do layers. :) And I am having fun playing, trying to learn the different tools, how to ...how can I say it...draw inside the lines. lol These just took me about half a hour.. it is that simple once you understand how.
Top pictures are not with layers.
Ok.. got the link fixed, had to redo the slideshow.
Now--- to bed with me. :)
Day started out good- slept late, took my time waking up, then off to enjoy the first day of spring day as I wished-- taking pictures.
So picture me a few hours later on my knees, waiting very still, camera ready as the ducks came just a inch closer to me....when my cell phone rings. After letting out a cuss word, watching those lovely ducks runing off, I answer it to hear my sister.
Seems a out of state moving company had a truck stuck at the scales, the driver not allowed to drive it off the lot. They wanted to pay me to drive the truck 130 miles one way to the job site, which he was already 5 hours late for, to say the customer was pissed off is putting it kindly. It really would help him out of a bind.
I sat there, thinking my father would of helped even tho I myself really don't like getting drag into other peoples business. And there is always more to the story then what you are told. But I went... and there was...five hours later sister and I was done with this little favor. We each made $100.00 at least.
Anyway- here is the few pictures I was able to take today. :)
Been making some estimates of late- meaning I have some time to drive around, take some pictures as I am early to most meetings. :)

These are incredible. The photo of your favorite spot doesn't even seem real.
Bravo.
That spot looks like a bit of heaven to me too :)
Thank you. :) I am just glad to take pictures that is not me and makeup. lol
There better dang well NOT be any more snow days until......December!!
And ...in a sing song voice.....I know where the special place is....I was by there yesterday.....:)
I love that second Angel picture. All the colors and what not. It's great. :)
I can't believe your journal wasn't on my favorites list before, I could've sworn it was. Eh, either way it is now, and should've been a while back.
these are beautiful!
Makeup: Lady Gaga Telephone video, animal print look. And a lot of editing on photoshop.
Unedit:

How about one without any make-up? ;)
Go down to March 6th Bones. :) I am not afraid to show my bare face- understanding I am 44 this year, heavy set, and look like Paula Dean with dyed hair. :P
lol
Reason I show a unedit one with my looks. Way to many people use photoshop to hide flaws. I never liked that in the makeup forums.
--Jealous.
Makeup look: Lady Gaga Video Telephone Jail look. The video is alright, just not a big Beyonce fan. But Lady Gaga rocks some killer makeup in the video. :) And you have to give it to her- she is the best at the product placement in her videos. Website, phone, truck, her own heart shape ear plugs. Smart and talented lady all around.
Makeup look: Double up on the fake lashes. A practice that is been done since fake lashes have been used. Before the market started making those long, spiked, funky lashes the makeup artists of old use to double them up. Still used today, don’t get me wrong. Putting two set together gives a thick, full lash. People you see using double lashes: Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian, and Jennifer Love Hewitt.
How do you use them? Two ways are talked and used that I know of. One is to glue them together before you apply them. The second is to apply one layer, then the next layer, and this is the method I use myself. I apply the longest of the pair, then the shortest one. Taller ones give the height while the shorter ones fills in with the ones pictured below.
Now on to my Cruella De Vil picture. The difference between fake lashes and my own. While this is not the lashes you would wear day to day- fake lashes with strong bold looks are a wonderful thing. As you can see below.
The two lashes I used together, layered.
Sorry about the glue in the pictures- I took them after I removed them. Speaking of- how do you clean fake lashes? Place them in your palm and use a small amount of makeup remover. You loosen up the glue from the top stripe that holds them together as you clean off the makeup, eye shadow that get trap in them. Rinse, If there is glue left on the stripe still I take some tweezers and use them to hold on to them, pulling the glue off.
How long, many wears do you get out of lashes? Depends on a lot but I use care with mine, and if I don’t “rip” them they can last about 30 applications.
O.o
Maybe I should have made this an article. Yeah... that might be what I need to do. Got any questions about fake lashes?
COMMENTS
Is there a better brand? How do you get them on straight? Do they injure your eyelids? How long is it safe to wear them at any one time? Will they pull out my real lashes? Can I put mascara or other things on them? Does the glue get old? Are there any out there that are for sensitive eyes?
That should give you a few to start....shouldn't it? lol
Makeup: Revist to Jane, Twilight.
Unedit ones-
Star Trek was a big show for me to watch as a child. Strange clothing, strange aliens, and even stranger makeup. :) What kid did not want the 'green' look?
Anyway- came home to find myself wanting to play with the makeup and it went a little sci fi. (Got to stop leaving the TV on Sci Fi channels as I play)
I also wanted to use a drug store foundation I had to show that I don't just use the $$ stuff. This foundation is Almay TLC foundation. Basic rule with foudation is- the thicker it is the better the coverage. This is a great foundation and thick to spread. And at $13.00 a bottle, great value.
I also used a lot of Bare Minerals on this look- eyeshadow, liner, powder and concealer. While they do cost a little more, they last forever. Great color on the eyeshadows- just watch out for the glitter ones, flakes badly.
I also wanted to try the white cream eyeliner from Make Up For Ever. LOVE this, the color stays white even as you run it along other colors. Best white liner I have found yet.
Pics: Both unedited so you can see the foundation coverage.

It looks great. But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't expecting your entire face to be green. :P lol.
Now this is one I'd like to try :) It looks great on you.
I remember watching it with my daddy. I don't watch it often anymore cause I cry thinking back.
This look seems gorgeous to me! I really like how the white eyeliner looks with the other colors.
Me likey too...... :)
Makeup look: Really digging the purples. ;)

I love it too!
I'm gonna' guess that you also have the late great Kevin Aucoin's book 'Face Forward'?
( I love the book myself).
You would be correct. :) I think my makeup books stand at...8 now? It is over 6 I know.
Had those fake lashes for a while and knew it would take a strong look to pull them off.
i like the last one esp. :)
The 2nd one is outstanding.
You are so HAWT!!
Make Up look- Airbrush foundation.
I have been reading about the use of airbrush foundation for years now. Models and actors, the makeup artist tool of choice it seems. And the machine you use to put the foundation on with cost is around $200.00 at least. So the casual makeup lover that I am will never see what airbrush is like.
Then I started to ask a few questions, read a few forums and articles, and watched a video on wedding makeup by a makeup artist name Kandee Johnson. Seems you can use the airbrush foundation without the machine- just takes some steps. So I order two small bottle online from a company name DINAIR. It cost me $16.00 each, plus shipping. One was a very pale one and the other was Lt. Golden Beige which is my color.
Had to give it a try today. The steps are to start with a clean face and hands, putting a lotion on your face to help with any dry areas. Shake the bottle to mix the foundation well, and use just a drop or two at a time. The reason is the foundation dry fast. I mean…really fast. It only covers a small area at a time, taking about 9 to 10 of these drops applications to cover my face and down to feather into my neck. With the small bottle I see maybe a dozen full face foundation use before it is gone. Not bad really- but too high for every day use.
The coverage was not impressing me so far at that point. I used some of my normal concealer at the eyes, lips, nose, and the brown spot at the corner of my eye. A little of the MUFE loose powder and this is what the foundation looks like. First bare face, then the airbrush foundation with a concealer and powder.
I will give it this- the feel of it is wonderful. It feels like I have nothing on my skin at all. But still I was not taken with it- not much different then any cream or liquid foundation. I added the rest of the makeup, taking an inside and outside in the sunlight picture to see what it looks like.
Final notes- not that taken with it. Other then it being light on the skin it is no better coverage then other good foundation. I did not see any smears, blending issues so I can not blame it on that. Even with a machine… maybe try it again, do one layer, let it set, and maybe do another layer, making the coverage heavier? Hope that gives the coverage that all the hype talk about airbrushing.
Out to dinner, time with the gals tonight so we will see what it looks like after 8 or 9 hours wear.

I work with someone who bought the machine- she loves it- I think where the machine adds is that you can layer it up to a "doll" like complexion and not have the issues of it feeling heavy on the face... but that is just what I've been told ;)
I agree with Sahahria. I have heard the same and seen it work. Those machines are uber pricey though!
Thanks ladies. :) I will try it again, maybe do two layers to see what it does. It has been 9 hours and I have to say it has not faded, smeared at all. And that is with me touching, rubbing it to try and do so.
Loving it!
Not enough to buy the machine but I can see why people love airbrush.
