Having one of those days where you can't eat the right thing. I have tried the left over chicken hot wings, chips for salt, soup, hard candy, and now doing peanut butter with crackers.

Only thing I really know I want was banana pudding cake. Just didn't have any pudding.

So... eating a hand full of this and that, and can't find the one thing I want to eat.

:)

Oh well.

Middle of the night I woke up and read for a few hours. Makes for a messed up day, as I woke up at 2:00 pm. Going to suck trying to get to sleep tonight. But then I say that as I yawn...

Maybe not. But True Blood first. Can't believe the way they ended last weeks show. Watching a rerun of it right not and even knowing what is coming, I still am ready to cry. Good night sweet warrior.

Today is pay day so I had to go into the office, use the system, stuff.

Flea invasion seems to be gone. I got here early and ran the vac, never got a bite. One of the guys came in and within seconds said he was covered in them again. Grrrrr...

But I have sat here for two hours now and not gotten a bite on me.

So???

Thinking I might set another round of bombs off for the weekend, just to be safe. That makes it two times sprayed by bug company, and three sets of bombs off by me.

Never had fleas this bad in any building/ home we own. And I don't have a pet in the office even.

Just be happy when they are dead. Witch Hazel is helping me with my bites, all 50 or so of them. I seem to take a bath in it from the neck down. Arms, legs, and belly the worst.

Fleas, mites, etc love me. Like poison ivy, or oak.

If they are around- I am the first, the most to know it.

:) Must be because I am so sweet.

Yeah yeah- I see you rolling your eyes.....

F off.

:P

Fuck I'm so over fleas. They aren't biting me, but the pups :(

And I'm doing ok with management because others at my house aren't getting them- I truly think it's due to their size and our walks. *sigh*

A old school friend mother is in very poor health. As in they have called the family in, giving her 24 hours. That was Tuesday night.

The lady who cut my hair today sister was in the hospital with cancer, kidney issues. She has been fighting cancer for years now.

And others about me have health concerns.

Thinking about them, sitting her in my home, makes me think how life is so unknown. And can change so fast, life events happening.

And just how blessed my own family is.

How blessed I am.

Got candles lite for those in need. Never hurts to send out good energy to those in need.

If you can't find any good in a horrid world then you never will be happy. If you see the pleasure and joy of simple things, you may have down times but over all you will know joy. Love is something that you get more of, by simply giving it. xoxoxo I wish them all my best, and you too.

Been reading and learning about the Cheshire Connecticut Petit case back in 2007. Gosh but this case has really gotten under my skin. So sad about how the family still has no answers, how the police was at the home a good half hour before the fire started.

Just...

So full of "What if..." questions.

Feel so bad for the family of the wife, two girls.

So my weekend went nothing like I plan. Not sleeping till 4:00am had me sleeping all day Saturday till sis called me at 2:00pm for pool time. I kept falling asleep in the pool, got a sun burn. Came home to shower and plan to go to Cat's but it was already 7:00pm, and I was just too pooped.

Went to sleep about midnight and was woken up at a few hours later when my smoke alarm went off. As they are wired into the home, I spent the next two hours trying to find why it wouldn't shut off. Finally after feeling every wall, open ever cabinet, and couldn't find any thing burning, smoke, I pulled the alarm to just unhook it or cut the wires.

I unplug the thing, then went back to bed to only roll, toss, turn till dawn. Finally went to sleep and woke up about 2:00 pm. Grrrrr....

Shouldn't of taken the sleeping pill but have to say I feel so much better today. :D Well rested for sure.

DOD is asking movers to re-cert. Reading the four page set of directions I found this part to be the most interesting.

"...movers to name all employees, list all warehouses and pieces of equipment, and all local agents. The final question asks what functions the mover outsources. This is important, because the military has concerns about companies which have been essentially turning over all of their military business to another entity to "manage." The new qualification rules have language that forbids outsourcing all of your functions."

Ha. So they have come to see the error of letting folks outsource. Letting anyone handle the shipments, letting them get moved on horse trailers, etc.

But still- they haven't increased the rates. So you still working for next to nothing. And with the full coverage insurance they demand now- even a small claim of 100 bucks can put you in the hole.

So no renewal for us.

Sis and I was enjoying the nice warm pool water when we hear a scream, BANG! O.o

Seems the trailer across the road- 3 year old kid they don't watch close got into a pickup in the driveway, got it out of drive, it rolled across the road, down a little and hit the guy who lives next to us carport.

And his nice $$ Harley Davidson motorbike he had gotten out today and drove about a hour before.

As in he built a building to park this bike in. He gets it out on nice sunny days and drives it. Has had it for years.

Cops, etc...

When we left the pool I looked over- Bike front and bars have the pickup on top of it, carport support beam is gone, roof sitting on the pickup.

They was trying to get the truck off the bike. With a chain, another pickup.

Poor folks- poor bike. Kid was fine.

Just spent a hour or so with the two last remaining 'bosses' of the Army base we use to work with. It was nice chatting, seeing the news and point of view from their sides. The one asked me if we was ever going to get back into the service and I said I wasn't looking at that happening.

He and I knew each other before the big cuts, before they started putting the jobs online and letting brokers do the moves.

Fun to talk of old times, how we use to work and try to take care of things. He gave me several compliments of our past work and wish he had us back in his fold.

But the money just isn't there.

If it isn't one freaking ass thing, its another. Roofer has found rotted wood, about 1/3 of the roof. On the back side where the moss/ wet area is. Now we are talking the wood that supports the gutter that runs the whole back side is rotten too.

*sigh*

In other words- more cost. But the freaking roof that hasn't had any work to it in about 20 years will be like new.

Selling point!

Rental are a pain some days. But this is the same house I put the new windows in last year, roof this year. Next on my list is to work on a few plumbing issues it has, meaning we tear up the kitchen flooring to get to the waterlines that are steel, low pressure on the water in the bathroom. Long day. And still got several things to do still. Just wanted to write some, get things off my chest.

Delivery of a military shipment. Came in from Japan. They was a little odd as two had been open by Customes. Not seen that in many years. In fact can only remember one other time.

But I knew something was up with it sit in VA. for over a year, then getting moved here for delivery a whole state away. The carrier told me the shipment was one they were just trying to get someone to handle. And that the member was in jail from what they understood.

So his father was taking delivery today. And once we got the crates open we found that the US Customes had went into every item in the shipment. All of it. The green seals they use to let you know it had been checked, open was on each peace.

What ever the dogs sniffed, or tip they got, it must of panned out as they really searched his things.

So yesterday I had a guy who started 15 days ago. Work days that is. Of those 15 he has not shown to work for two of them, and half a hour late on two other days. So yesterday when he was a no show, then not hearing from him by 4:30 or so I replaced him.

He showed up this morning, all..."I couldn't get to work, no car." "I had no phone at the house."

Ok well...

*sigh*

Go from not having anyone to work to having two wanting the job now.

Our 'across the road' drug folks got into a shooting yesterday it seems. Police came, 2 of them.Stayed here talking to them for 20 mins or so. I don't think they arrested anyone tho, shame.

Got to get back to work, still got paperwork to get ready for in the morning.

Love how certain holidays make me want to watch certain movies. It is like the holiday is not started without sitting, watching the movies. Seen them so many times you can repeat the lines with them.

July 4- Independence Day. "Up yours!" I also like to watch Armageddon. But nothing starts the 4th like the "Welcome to earth Mother Fucker" with the punch from Will Smith. And the president speech toward the end.

Halloween- Sleepy Hallow with Depp. And the Halloween remake by Zombie. Then the fun movie of Hocus Pocus. Practical Magic, and The Craft. But a must watch is Ghost and Mr. Chicken. :)

Thanksgiving- Not really got one for this time. I usually do a set like Die Hard, Lord of the Rings.

Christmas- It's a Wonderful life of course. But then I like to watch Jim Carry in the Grinch. I like some of the old movie- the musicals. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Miracle on 34th Street.

Valentines Day- I like a good 'girl kick ass' movie like Tome Raider. Resident Evil.

Anyone else like that? And what are your movies? Might find a new one to watch. :)

Went and got some things I needed at Lowes from work, feed Birdy's cat, and stop at the Dollar Store to just get a few things. Called Sis to tell her I got the few things she needed, will drop them off. This is when she asked if I had tuna, was working on dinner.

Sure I did at home, will get it out and she would send my brother up to get the items.

So I walk in to my home, carrying things I got, hands full, the phone rings. I answer it and it was her asking if I had a onion too. "Wait, trying to see if I even have tuna..." and try to move cans out of the way, phone to ear, with one hand and it happens.

BANG!

All hell breaks loose as everything falls out, cans, pasta, etc. Hits the top of the dryer, then the floor. Lucky it didn't break my glass jars that hold my laundry. "FUCK!" as sis laughs on the phone. "Well- got to go. I will send Ray up."

So I start picking up things, and find the only piece that is damaged-

Can of frosting hit the floor, and a small piece of the bottom cracked. Enough that I knew it was broken, just about a teaspoon left on the floor when I picked it up.

Cream cheese.

So spice cake is in the oven. :D

Whhhhhhaaatttt? I had to save the frosting, didn't I?

:P

Is it ever going to stop raining? *Rat looks out the window, sigh* I wanted to go out and take photos today. :(

Oh well- only got my bedroom to finish with housework, and two more laundry loads. Bed to make up.

Then to go feed Birdy's kitten for her as she is gone out of town.

Oh- nosebleed 2, just today. Woke up to one, got it stop. About a hour later another one, but I was up and moving, doing housework soooo...

Calling Monday to get in to a ear, throat, nose Dr.

Had a call early this morning around 9:00 am asking me about boxes. Told the price, and how we close at 4:30pm. *this gives me half a hour to really get closed, out by 5:00*

So I go to visit Mom/ Brother/ Sis at 4:15pm, left at 4:30 to the bank, fast trip to the local store for some dressing for my salad. Home, shoes off, just getting things out for dinner and the phone rings. Note it is 5:15pm.

Yeap- they showed to buy boxes.

Yeap- they didn't bring cash or check, I don't take credit cards.

Yeap- I am stuck sitting here as they go to town and get cash.

Yeap- pissing me off.

Bet the fucker will not even come back as all they could say was "I didn't know they was going to be that high"

Next to last call of the day was a woman who was moving across the state. Like 200 miles one way. But she was going to only take half her house items as she is leaving it 'staged' to try and sell it.

Ok- we have a min charge, which the first load is going to hit as far as weight. I gave her the price. "Is that for both trips?" "No- just the one. The other one will cost you about the same. You have a 4 bedroom, two living room, kit, dining room home. The mins, if you split the items as you say you are doing, means both times it will be the min charge, nothing lesser."

She about had a cow.

I mean the whole - lady it is going to cost me the labor, the fuel no matter if you ship all or split it. The cost for 8,000 lbs *2 4000 lbs mins* is about what you have in the whole house. And it will cost you a little less then that, about 300.00 less.

You would think I was trying to kill her.

*sigh*

I want a drink, I want cheese fries, and I want a sleeping pill. In that order.

As soon as I set here for another half a hour waiting on these folks to 'show' back up.

So.. how is everyone starting the July 4th holiday? Me? *Warning- rant ahead*

Why it started early this morning at 6:15am, drove half a hour to pick up on of the guys as his girlfriend got a job and they only have the one car.

Wait- lets start over at last night. I get a call from my sister at 5:00 pm that a flat bed truck with 8 overseas crates, military on wanting to get unloaded. He was thinking we was Central time.. too bad for him. Raining, in the middle of something.. uh no. Be on my lot at 7:00 am and we will unload then.

So three phone calls later, stress of dealing with it and it turns out no one had called to make any plans/ payment bid on the job. Don't even know who or where it was going.

Another call to the hauler and found out it was going into TN, which I don't have the rights to cross state line. Can get them, had them for years, but why spend all that money when I don't have jobs that go that far, unwilling to do them? Driver was told he would have to call the company in charge of it and ask them but it wasn't coming here.

So I come home from Cat's to find the truck still parked on my lot. Now get this- it is a pickup with a 5th wheel trailer, no roof. MILITARY SHIPMENT.

Wooden crates are rated for a 'lite' rain up to a hour. They are to be moved in a closed trailer or one with a tarp that covers all of them. This one had a rip cheap tarp, not even down the sides. A PAPER couch crate *think of your couch in a paper box* wasn't even covered. And it has been raining here off and on for a month, each day rain.

--.-- My father would roll in his grave on how badly the military is being treated.

But they are getting what they pay for. Shame that it is. Reason I got out- I will not work for nothing. And to make money, I refuse to treat the items like trash. Most older movers have step away from the military, for that reason.

So back to today, after not sleeping due to being pissed the driver was just going to let the items get wet, most likely has been wet.

Anyway-- move went well, got back on the road to home and called into the office. I expected to hear my other sister voice, the one that lost her job a few weeks ago. She was to come down for a week and let my other sister *they are twins* have a week off from taking care of Mom and my brother. Today is their 50th birthday, and when she take time away for herself.

But NOOOOOoooo.... she was 'sick' this morning when she woke up and didn't show. So my other sister *I know- confusing, isn't it?* is still here, still pissed that she is not getting help, time off. But we will see if she shows up in the morning, *cough cough, not holding my breath cough* Even tho she doesn't have the "I have to work." excuse she has used for 5 years now.

So the guys and I stop for lunch, on the way home when sis called to tell me freight truck was here. Unloaded, got the boys off till Friday... about 3:00 pm thinking Sonic with a watermellon slushie and rum for me tonight when I go up to see sister, spend some time before home.. when she breaks the new the phones are out, been out for while. Nothing but static babe.

On both lines. MotherFucxxx... son of a xxx...

It is 5:45 pm, and the phone company guy is still working on them. Alarm going off every other minute, the GoXXXXX loud bastard giving me a head ache from hell.

*deep sigh*

So- the plan to have a good drink tonight, clean in the morning when I get up, play with makeup some has been shot out the fucking window.

Next person who tells me it is 'so great to be your own boss' I am going to shot.

You walking into my office every 20 minutes asking when the guys will get back in so they can help you unload at a customer's house isn't going to speed things up.

But it will keep pissing me off.
