The old saying of "If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all." flashed into my mind a little while ago.



My sister, who is taking care of my mother and brother, sent me a nice late brunch. Eggs, a mystery meat that I am going to take as tenderloin, gravy on top of the mystery meat, and biscuit.



Gravy had way too much salt, but it was nice to have something to eat instead of sitting here all day with nothing. So you keep your mouth shut, right?



Seems my brother is snubing his nose up at anything she cooks of late. "What is wrong with it? Was there something wrong with that food? The meat was tender, the eggs cooked over easy." I kept my mouth shut and told her it was great, not to worry about it.



Seem brother is on a "I am not eating anything but sweats, chips, junk food." for the last three weeks. And it has her worried as he does have high blood pressure.



So- new plan. I don't buy anything sweat, no chips, no candy... nothing. We will see who wins this battle of wills.



Of course- my sister without chocolate is like a bear with a thorn up her ass... but we will see what he will eat when the sweats/ junk food is gone.

Gosh- those who read my journal knows I don't check it, and make those simple mistakes often. Seems like you all would be use to it by now.



If I was to spend time checking it- then I need to make it paid work instead of me just releasing some steam, putting it out there.

It was one of those movies I kind of wanted to watch, but not. The Mist. Knew it would not be a good movie, but since it was on TV this weekend I watched it. Only good part was at the end when he killed his own son, three other folks to keep them from being spider food. The look on his son's face as he aimed the gun at him was a creepy touch.



Then he step out of the car, crying out all "Take me, kill me" crap to only have the Army pulling up and the bugs leaving. If only he had held off for another minute he and his son would of lived. As well as the other three folks.



Shame when that is the only good part of a horror movie, the horror of knowing you killed them for nothing.

Today kind of went to hell in a hand basket. First- I woke up early to pee and laying back down in bed I looked at the clock to see it was 6:48 am. It was about the time I snuggled back in thinking I had another 30 mins or so before the clock went off that I remember we was starting at 7, not 8.



So- dressed, no shower, and got to work. I am walking in the door when my sister calls to tell me that the lady called and woke her up at around 4:30 this morning to cancel her apointment. She said, crying, that a death had happen in the family.



Part of me thinks.. really? While the other part thinks "Now- that was shitty. If she did have a death- shame on you!" And yes - that second part was said in my mother's vocie/tone. O.o



Sooooooooo...



The three men and I spent the 4 hour min they get paid cleaning the warehouse some more. Got the rental company storage room cleaned out, old paint, etc trashed. While other items pulled out for the yard sale.



Took a trip to the scrap yard and made $84.00. That is about 40 less then it costed me in labor today. *sigh*



But I feel for the boys- they was looking at a good check this week, gotten up to 20 hours already. They might of hit the big 30 if the lady hadn't canceled. :(



Found a frog in the office yesterday. I was thinking it was a green bug till it hopped. lol Screamed, and jumped out of my seat. I am such a whimp. I did put it outside, thank you. All by myself. :P



But then the dog found a snake in my mothers yard. We have not had a snake around here in years. My brother did that killing, and getting it out of the yard. Good dog, letting us know it was there.



Did I scream when I saw the snake? Bet your ass I did. Makes me shiver, ready to run just thinking about it now. Gods I hate snakes. Ok- I'm going to stop thinking about it before I throw up.



I really want to go home, get a shower, and do some laundry. Dust mites are killing me over at the warehouse.

Members make mistakes here. I have made several on the site and always try to go into helping them with that in my mind. "I have made mistakes too, some freaking stupid" is said in my mind as I deal with members when they have problems.



And with some- it is solved, and you never see them again. Other it is every freaking week, same shit, different day. It is so much like my life real work it is crazy.



They drive me nuts but even then I try to understand they are upset.



But the ones... the ones who just...



But when a member is told several times the rules, and just keeps breaking them with free profile after free profile, being suspended one right after the other- those are the people who just piss me the fuck off.



You know the rules. Don't like them then leave the site.



You are held to the same rules that we all are. Hell, I paid for all my memberships. Nothing is given to you for free. Why do you think you are above anyone here? And that is my rub- you think you are better, more special then anyone else here.



But the whole "I am above the law, not held to the same as you" shit just pushes my last button. It does in life, it does online. And then it is the whole "BUT but but.." bullshit.



Flat out- I just want to say this to you.



You are an asshole.

I've been seeing similar posts by the other admin and I'm so not concerned by this individual but at least you understand that the other kids and adults on here do mess up from time to time and you take that in your stride and try to help. It's great that you give your time to this site free without the prats making life hard.

Exactly. There's so many people on here, who follow the rules, without even reading the rules to begin with, cus lets face it, who reads rules when theyjoin websites? we all click that little box that says i agree, half the time, we haven't read the terms.



But my point being, we all know the basic rules on here, word of mouth, or actually looking, either way, if we do break them, we are corrected, and don't do it again.



Damn i had a friend log into my profile, and we almost had every profile associated with that person banned, but we were warned, and we fixed it, and we stay off eachother's profiles. We didn't sit there thinking, oh give it a month, they wont know. Fuck that. I only need telling once.

You are right- I didn't read the TOS, Manual when I first joined. I check that little box and moved right along. Only to have Radu catch me with a internet image in my portfolio. lol



He was very nice about it, and I learned to never do it again. Other times rules were pointed out to me, so I learned as I went. I had a few messages from Admins- Sentoran, Dominar Stabb666 on the forum postings, etc.



I remember all of those when I deal with members. At least the ones who try to understand, and you don't mind helping.



Other... make me drink more rum. ;)

Yesterday we lost our first, USA, female astronaut. Sally Ride open so many windows for females in space.



And just read on the news that Sherman Hemsley has passed away today. He played in the TV show The Jefferson.



I remember watching that show, and always doing his walk. In the opening credits he walks into that big city building, his hands behind his hips as he strutted. I think I was ten maybe, but we as a family went to the Household Convention. They always held them in a State Park, and I remember the long walkway from our rooms to the meetings areas. Dad usually stayed at the meetings as Mom took care of us kids.



I tell you this as I can still in my head hear the whole family laughter as I did that 'walk' in a new dress, my shinny new black flat heeled shoes, white tights, in front of them going toward the meeting room.

Ok- not funny, but you just had to of been there. I use to love doing that walk. Oh hell- I am going to get up and do it now. In honor of this actor, and a show I always loved.

I read that Sally was a lesbian. It came out in her obituary. She and her partner were together for 27 years. I think that is very sweet that her partner was acknowledged. It must have been hard to keep a secret like that for so many years.

I really like NetFlix, see a whole lot more movies then I ever would of had otherwise. We get DVD in the mail and average 3 or 4 a week with our plan.



I know most say it isn't the same- you lose the whole movie experience. You miss out watching it on a small screen instead of the huge screen. The whole going out, getting popcorn, candy and pop as you sit with other people. You join in the laughter, the crying. It is just not the same.



Me? I like sitting on my nice roomy couch in my nightgown. I like pausing and going to pee when I want to. Or going back to see that "big event" as many times as I want. I can make popcorn, buy a dollars worth of candy, and ice down a pop for a few dollars. Even with the rental I come out ahead on the cost of the movie ticket which is $4.50 for the first showing. Pop, popcorn and a candy bar would add an easy $7.00 more.



And I get to not squeeze my big ass into a small chair with arms digging into my sides, kids crying, phones ringing, glow of the texting kids, adults who can't keep their mouths shut for two hours, shoes sticking to the floor, pain in the ass known as a movie theaters.



Trust me- that small screen makes up for a whole lot in my book. :)

Like you I prefer home viewing and the savings are incredible. By the time you by 'there' popcorn and a drink and anything else really then maybe go for a meal afterwards you need a second mortgage, besides, I can't smoke at the flicks!!

Cleaning out a lot of old military billing, paperwork. Burning boxes and boxes of history as we clear out a building to try and rent out to help pay the insurance bill on the warehouses.



Found paperwork from back in the 80's- been so long since the paperwork had been weeded out. Keep the taxes, and cash tickets for the last ten years just in case but the rest....



Burn baby burn.



Am I sad to see it end?



In a way I am really sad. But in the way that I have done the same job for over 30 years... hell no.



We move forward, we face the changes, and we do the best that we can.



I am just the type of person that hates changes. I dislike the unknown. Wondering if we can make it without so and so, or what will happen now.



Yeap- not big fan of changes.

Falling Skies robots are so much better then that new version of Battle Star Galactic ever was. The sound they make, the way they move, and the weapons they have.



The newest edition of Battle Star was such a disappointment. The cylons they had, the metal ones, were so wimpy. While they changed the shape of them they lack the "I am here to fuck you UP!" that these on Falling Skies have going on.

Thinking it is time for a ritual.



All my work is done, laundry all finished.

Time to go lite some candles, do some chants.

I so want it to be Fall. I gifted myself with this $18.00 miniature wheel barrel to put into the Halloween miniature room box. Not something you can make, this one is metal. It was on sale from $32.00, had my eye on it for over a year now.



The Fall room box: In my mind it is an outside setting. One one side is the cabin front, with a porch. Think rocking chairs, hutch with some old dishes, Halloween decorations. Some fall leaves on the mossy ground, fall color bushes, pumpkins, jack O lanterns, as you see the stone alter set up for a ritual. A table to the side set with Halloween witch cake, some food, herbs. And in the center will be a firepit, lite by those candle powered tea lights.



Can't wait to start on this one. I can see it so clearly in my head, like I did the Yule winter one.



But we are going to start with the fairy winter one first. Cat's pick as I picked the Yule cabin to go first.



Never did the housework. Truth told I took a 4 hour nap. :D Yeap, got lots to do Sunday. But tonight it is Winter Fairy starting.



Watched the movie War Horse a few night ago. LOVED IT! Have to say I cheated by checking out the ending first so I could see if the horse made it. That way I was prepared to cry my eyes out. He does, still cried my eyes out. It was one of those sad but wonderful movies. You should really watch it if you haven't yet.

Very few people get to call me Honey. But you Sir, I will let. You replaced the apartment roof for a very good price and when I showed you the damage to the office bathroom, damage that you did not have to take on as several roof repairs men have attempted to handle the 'joint' where we butted up against another roof, you not only took it on- you did what you hoped was a patch that would handle the water free of charge.



But it is not so... the ceiling was wet this morning, and the dry wall right at that same spot more damaged.



So you Sir, with your kind warning that it might cost me a good amount to try and tunnel that water off the corner, try and rebuild the angle of the bathroom roof to keep it from backing up into that area where it is seeping into the bathroom, but you will try and do it soon. Such a small job to what you are use to.



Yes you Sir, I will let you call me Honey.

The bad storms last night had me remembering the times we worked in a small town in the area that built a flood wall. It was always flooding but the government went in and purchased land and built this huge flood wall, building a road on top so the town was bypassed all the way, by water and traffic both.



I remember when school was out for summer working on those homes that had to be relocated. On a good day you just had to work on a hot steamy day, in an old home that had mold and mildew in the walls. Like I said- a good rain would flood these people out.



And there was many of a day, and weekends, it was working in mud. When the flood water would hit is when the government would call, ask us to try and save what we could at certain homes. You would get there right at our work time which was always 8:00am, no matter how long you had to drive. The people would be crying, losing most of everything they had. Some of the homes I never understood why they even tried to save some of the items, but that wasn’t our place to ask.



Our job was to pack what wasn’t wet, and try to get the furniture out of the homes. That meant walking up and down stairways, feet covered in slippery mud, as you at least tried to save the upstairs items of these homes. And packing the kitchen/ food standing in mud, having to keep the boxes up off the floor. I remember one home where every time I lifted my foot my tennis shoe would get ‘sucked’ off. I just ended up working in my socks. Safe to say I wore my heavy boots from then on. And the legs, back was killing you at the end of the day. It was like walking in wet sand, and the stink… never was a fan of mud after those times.



I think the government had to relocate 45 homes to build the floodwall and we did everyone of them. Packing, moving them into the new home they purchased. Or most went into buildings the government rented out, only to have to be moved once they found a new place. I remember working all summer, and it was still not done. Then it was only the weekends for me as school was back in.



What most folks don’t tell ya about flood is the bugs, the roaches just sitting on the walls. Mice, rats, even some water snakes. I think that is when my childhood wonder of “Oh look- it’s this cool” went to “God damn it… I hate a freaking bug. SNAKE!” started. Nothing like standing on water muck slug for months as we tried to get these families out of their homes so they could be torn down, and the flood wall built so this would never happen to another family again.



We are talking back in the 1980’s. Today the government would have had to had a hazard team in there, if they wouldn’t of just paid the family a fee to leave it all behind. Just the mold would of thrown up red flags today.



Seeing all the flooring in the areas around me I know that little town is dry, and those families members that are still alive can recall just how bad it was when a heavy rain fell. Wonder if any even recall how bad it was before the wall was built.



We also moved plenty of folks for roadways, airports the government took land for. Long history with working on those kinds of jobs. But the flood walls, we did two walls, was always the worst by far.

Whenever we have thunderstorms here or a deluge I think of how much I love it forgetting about how damaging it can be for others :( Must be heartbreaking to see. On a side note: I've only seen roaches on T.V, ACK! Knocks on wood.

Our family has been a military approved household mover for longer then I have been alive. I could write a book on the moves, the customers I have meet during that time. Since 1954 to 2012. Lifetime. 58 years of it.



Seems like I should share a little of that time. I could tell you of the nasty homes, the rude comments, the hell holes, the drunks, the drugs, the men in their underwear. The sex toys, the glass bottle thrown at us, the black eye. I can tell you of the clothing given to me when I got soaking wet, the help when trucks broke down, the fun and laughter, the home made full breakfast that was waiting for us, the treats baked, the tips made.



I can tell you of the snow, the heat, the fleas, the roaches, the bird poop, the flood, of being stuck, of hauling shipments in with a pickup, the police and thugs, the long ass days.



Ahh.. And all those sunrises and sunsets.



So many stories in my brain today as we start closing down that part of our company.



And really missing my Dad. See- we was, and I still am, the only ’mover’ in the family. My sister never did any of the manual work, she never dealt with the customers like we did. She is great with numbers, but to make an estimate on weight, on the packing, the hours of labor needed, then seeing and doing the work- that is me.



And the military use to be worth dealing with, just not at my age, my attitude of 30 years into the same job, and having to shift a lot of finances around just to stay in the game.



Don’t get me wrong- there was some fun days, days I will never forget. Some great friendships were made.



And there was the days when I just question why the hell I was even doing it.



But all in all- the military has always been a great bunch of folks to work with.



I really should share some of these stories with you all. Might give you a smile, and you can see why I am the way I am most days. :)

10 hours of sleep.. how I loved you. :)

All is quiet in the VR neighborhood. Rat sits on her House porch, rocking in her rocking chair as she watches the folks go by, some talking, some fussing, but all in all a good crowd. Till a well known drama queen steps forward and comes down her sidewalk, full of a rant. “Why did you do this?” How someone was suspended when she wasn’t to be. “Oh? And why wouldn’t she of been?” “Because Images said this and this and you just don’t understand. You need to release her profile now.” Never mind it is against the rules.. rules she loved reporting folks are breaking. Seems this person is to be above the rules, not holding to all that the neighborhood holds to. Rat thinks not.



Rat sat, knowing she was being lied to. After dealing with this member sooooo many times- that was not a shocker. “Well.. give me a second.” Rat stands, goes to the porch edge and yells out “Images!’ “Images!!” to only see a sleek large cat laying on a branch in the tree above Otter’s kiddy pool in the House next door yard.



A wet Otter head pop up from her kiddy pool “WHAT!? We are trying to relax. You had watch Rat.” “I know- but I got a problem. Images- can you come here for just a second? Seems I am being told something you said that I know you never said.” Otter strains her neck and sees the member, her lips baring her teeth, as the agile cat jumped from the tree heading toward the Rat’s porch.



“Well I might have gotten it wrong, not word by word. Maybe I misunderstood.” The member steps backward, as Rat sees Images land in a perfect leap onto the porch railing, a graceful predator. Rat moves aside as Images takes over. Otter slides out of the pool with her fur so smooth and shiny, as she crosses over to watch. They don't call her The Hand for nothing.





Lesson to learn here folks- MasterVampires talk. If you are known to us for bringing problems to the site, we talk. I am not talking the ones who get caught once or twice breaking the rules, but those repeat offenders who just keep hitting our radar. Not a smart move to lie to one, thinking you will get your way. Lie about it… that is really putting you on the radar.

Day kind of went from good to bad. After being pitched off the internet for the 20th time in a hour I left Moonie and Otter making faces in cam to go to bed early. Have not been sleeping well and last night was no different. About 2:00 am I broke down and took a over the counter sleeping aid.



Drag my butt out of bed to drag myself over to Cat's to get her and we went to the local Historical Museum to take photos of the items they have on show. Birdy is helping them with getting the items listed, labeled, and online/ records. We got about half of the items done with over 200 shots. Learned a few things, seen some cool stuff. I had offered to help them with photos so they called me on it. I was thinking old buildings.. but all is good. I got to practice on settings, and learned glass displays can be beaten, as far as glare is concerned.



Then it was out to dinner with Cat, Birdy. Right at the end before we could even talk about what we was going to do for the rest of the night I started to cough- another asthmatic attack. Cough cough cough- chest hurts as you try to suck in air.. on top of three drinks had me throwing money on the table and running to the bathroom. Then outside to fresh air.



Sore throat, tears, and a pounding headache later had me going home alone, breaking up the party early.



:(



The lady who runs the museum sneaked and gave Birdy $25.00 to pay on dinner, and she gave us a $10.00 off coupon. She didn't have to as I did offer my services for charity. But it was nice. She got me and Cat, Birdy for 5 1/2 hours, and 220 plus photos out of it.



While I got some practice in, a sore back, and helped save some history. :)

Well the cable company didn't show up. So the internet here at home is still messed up. Again if I don't answer you, or just leave mid chat or messages you will know why.



Will call them again Monday to see why they was no show.

I swear I am ready to throw up a little. Been lazy so the dishes have piled up the last three night in my sink. Till I got home to find ants. While ants don't bother me when one but when a thousand ...

Sprayed, waited till they died, then had to do the clean up.



That is what I get for being a lazy bitch. But found how they was coming in around the window, ended that little opening.



While I am doing stuff I really don't want to do I should go and use the scraper to remove the caulking around my tub. It has turned black and I can't get it clean without bleach and I sure can't handle that stink. Talk about an asthma attack. Nope- it will be a scrapper, and hours to remove and fix that repair.



Then the torn kitchen flooring that I need to pull the washer out and cut out a patch piece.



*sigh*



Nope- the ants was enough for one day.

Windex is your friend. I use to have the same problem. Too much rain and I would be fighting the ants. Windex with the ammonia, kills ants on contact. They also don't like the smell. So, I clean my countertops with Windex. I also spray Windex, anywhere I thought they might come in. Just need to renew it every couple of days. Good luck!!

Morrigon posted one of her book covers in her journal here that has a photo I took as a background. You can't really tell it is mine as she has done such great editing to it. If you put my photo and her's together after she edit it- light and day. Plus she added a model, zombies. Really the background is such a small detail when you look at the cover, my eye drawn to the look on the model's face. And the one zombie that has a mark on his forehead, swear I know that face. ;)



I find it super cool that she used one of my images. :D I know she could of used a stock image but she asked to use one of mine. YEAH!



And seeing as the only reason I picked up a camera again was her own work that inspired me, it seems like I might of paid her back just a little for the joy I get from taking photos again.

Watched a few movies this weekend-



Ghost Rider 2. The worst movie I have seen all year. If you haven't watched it and loved the first one like myself- don't. Just stay with the first one and let the second one die a ugly death.



Mission Impossible 4? 3? the latest one. Liked it. Tom is starting to show his age but he still can act better then most actors. Good story line, lots of action. It lived up to what I expected- same story of saving the world, blah blah .. but in a new way.



Tower Heist. Good to see Eddie back, even if his story line was a little odd. Had some laughs, funny movie. Didn't see the big 'surprise' about the money but it was really a good family movie.



But Ghost Rider is one to leave on the shelf. Poor Cage really must of needed the money to do that piece of shit.

If you send me a message don't get snotty if I don't answer it. I am having issues with my internet. It pitches me off every few pages, or freezes up on a page and I have to turn the computer off and pull the batteries to get it to unlock.



I took this laptop to work, and it works fine so I take it is the internet. I called and they said yes- the history shows a problem.



They said they could be here next Friday. O.o



I have a roof over my head, electric and water. Even TV to watch, internet off and on if you feel up to logging in a few thousand times a day.

I think most know I surf the cams under Anon. When I see one with no action *blank screen, screen saver* I go in to just make sure someone is paying attention to the chat. I usually say Hi, anyone here? They answer and I leave most of the time.



Why? Not in the mood to chat, not someone I really know, and people act strange around me if they find out who I am. Nell has been the only person who just chatted with me one night, no fight. That was kind of cool.

So true! Last night, I was browsing the journals - as I usually do - when I read Images' and that coven master's entries. I saw the shit unfold...and too bad I couldn't snag up one member for my coven - lol!

Someday you just wake up sad. No reason... well..sure you can find reasons. But you know it is just too big of a list to start, to drag up from the deep pit you try to bury them in.



But while life is good, so many reasons to rejoice in the world, in your life you just need that day to feel the saddness...



There are those days when a song just makes you cry.
