Fleeing southward from Ravenhill and the devastation of the undead horde led by Daestranka The White Death, Aiden and his companion Immeral arrive on the outskirts of the Elderwood. A forest known for its age and legends. Ahead, moving fast to the north are a band of orcs, far to large for the two of them to handle, they make their way into the ancient forest for safety in its labyrinth of branches and foliage. The two find a small are where they can rest themselves in relative safety. As the night passes, Aiden is tormented by nightmares of the previous night. The visions of his father being defeated and the village in flames. Just getting back to sleep, Aiden and Immeral are awakened by the sounds of screams from deep in the forest ahead of them. They awake, gather themselves and charge into the undergrowth to find the source of the horrific screams...

The young warrior turned knight, Aiden Silverflare, sits around a fire with his father and his father's faithful elven companion Immeral Xiloscent. They sit feasting and toasting to the journey that lay before Aiden the following morning. A cold is on the air tonight and a strange fog is rolling in. Aiden, brimming with excitement, begins to see what looks like movement in the fog bank. Figures, slow and shambling. Emerging with some eldritch blue light emitting from breaks in their skin, a horde of undead monstrosities. To action, the whole of the village of Ravehill, rises and engages the host. Flying high above, the undead dragon aspect Daestranka the White Death. Commanding the power of undeath, she spreads her reign of terror across the whole of Nebraia. Aiden, his father, and Immeral Xiloscent engage the forces and Daestranka herself. Daestranka slays his father, and even to the best of his abilities, Aiden was not ready. With his father slain, Aiden takes his armor and sword and escapes with the help of Immeral. They flee south towards the capital city of Caer Ungar.
