This is not always true. Sometimes when a person is a loner ( shut in , a person who doesn't have personal contact with the outside world ) tends to talk about themselves in the first person.
Example : A woman whose been beaten down by her abusive husband sometimes when with others she refers to herself in the first person , craving self worth.
