So I'm lying in bed this morning after Pinja had left for work and I get this phone call. The caller I.D says it is from Rosauers. I answer and they ask for Rodney, no he isn't home I say can I take a message? They say it is the bakery and they just had a few questions about his order. And I think.....
That's the last time I ask Pinja what he is playing, damned if I'm not addicted to another game! And you know I have to try and beat his score hehehe...
Oh lordy......
Pinja: I'd like to find a good deli around here but there aren't any enough Jews.
Errrr....If there are I don't know where they are hiding. Looking around here you could call it Aryan Nation. Nothing but a bunch of us white folks that are either Catholic or Seventh Day Advents.
Oh and our token Mexican, Pinja LOL
Pandora: (from the kitchen) What'cha doing baby? Pinja: Playing Bejeweled. What are you doing? Pan: Cleaning the kitchen and making some Crystal Light. Pin: "No comment" (chuckles) Pan: Oh I see, that's supposed to mean I'm in the kitchen where I belong right? Pin: (more chuckles) Perhaps Pan: Ahhh, That's ok babe, just as long as you do YOUR job in the bedroom it's all good.....
Looks like Anne Rice is going the way of the wolf with her new book coming out "The Wolf Gift" this February. Never really been into the wolf thing but I've really enjoyed her Angel and Mayfair Witches Series and the Vampire Chronicles of course. I'll be buying it because she has never written anything I didn't really enjoy, we shall see..
Overview from BOMC2:
After regaling us with her classic tales of vampires (The Vampire Chronicles), witches (The Lives of the Mayfair Witches) and angels (Songs of the Seraphim), bestselling author Anne Rice turns her eye to a different kind of beast, giving us a mesmerizing and exhilarating look at the making of a werewolf.
The Wolf Gift takes place in the present day, on the rugged coast of Northern California, as a young reporter is attacked by an unseen beast. This violent episode sets in motion a terrifying transformation as Reuben, the young man, finds himself changing, both inside and out. Now blessed—or cursed—with incredible strength, agility, hearing and a dangerous, predatory instinct, he roams the night, discovering that along with his violent gifts comes a surprising capacity for good.
But even as he’s seduced by his new strength and wolven savagery, he realizes that he’s not alone. There are others like him—guardian creatures who have existed throughout time. But who are they? Where did they come from? And what is their—and now his—purpose? The answer will have profound implications as he begins his astonishing journey toward becoming, fully, both wolf and man.
Nothing like going into the bathroom and finding that somebody left you a present in the toilet...............now, which one of my boys is the culprit? GAGS just....GAGS.

My Bad, must've been a double flusher.
... Oh HELL no. NO. ICK! That's crappy. ... heh. I punned. (I apologize - it just slipped out)
.... Hehe I did it again! I need to shut up now. XD
Looking at the size of that thing I would say yes lol
Did you atleast unwrap your present? *giggles* I'm just wondering, why are you gaging? Ewww.
o^O
Feeling like poo today, I have some kind of a head or sinus cold, got no sleep last night, can't handle breathing through my mouth. I get this weird fear that I'm going to choke on something or that my air passage through my mouth is going to get blocked and since I can't get any air through my nose as it is plugged up I will suffocate. Irrational I know....I'm weird :P

Ohhk. Get a bowl of hot steaming water. And a towl. Find a nice quiet place to sit and play some relaxing music. Have the bowl of steaming water on a nother surface, a table or something and have the towl covering your head and bowl and make sure you have your face near enough to the bowl. You can also cut some lemons up and have them sitting them in the bowl of water.
Sounds like a good time for lots of hot drinks. Or anything spicy. That would help clear up the sinus.
Hope you feel well soon!
Thanks you two :)
Breathe Right Nasal Strips. you'll wonder how you ever got along without them. I use them every night and sleep like a goddam baby.
There are a few women here I admire like sahahria, Req, Deity, Emmy and images for their commitment to being healthy and staying in shape. I am always reading in their Journals about a day at the gym, yoga class, a good run or a healthy eating choice. I have struggled with my weight for years, tried one diet or another only to lose it then gain it back. I was pretty thin all my life until I hit my late 30's and my poor eating habits caught up with me, age and then menopause.
But what I learned after thinking about their entries and perhaps knew all along, is that it is a LIFESTYLE change, not the latest diet craze or a temporary fix. And it's a lifelong commitment. So last week I joined Weight Watchers with the daunting task ahead of me to change my eating habits and my lack of any exercise in my life. I came home and cleaned out my fridge and pantry and replaced the twinkies and fried foods with whole wheat products, fruits and vegetables, low fat and non fat items and am utilizing the WW E-tools.
Weigh-in was yesterday and for the week I lost almost 4 lbs. It's going to take time and that's ok. I just have to stick with it...
COMMENTS
Kick ass! Think about how that's going to add up down the road. 4 pounds is nothing to shake a stick at. When I've lost 4 pounds I could totally feel my clothes looser.
Thanks images. Yeah, I knew I was in big trouble when I had to start pulling out my "fat" clothes lol. There is indeed a difference with even that amount and it's encouraging :)
Yah! You go, girl!
I try to eat healthy, and I walk a lot. I should be doing more though.
I get motivation from reading the above mentioned journals too!
Little tip to help through the "dejunk" phase. 15 grams of protien at breakfast. Equvilent of 2 large eggs... Or protien shake with 2 servings of fruit. However you choose to do it, protien is great way to get going and start having better energy.
Oh the horrid sugar cravings to come? 2 pieces of fruit. Heck when I get them now I'll sometimes just have the protien shake with fruit to curb it, and since I use frozen fruit- its like ice cream :)
Oh and four pOunds is AWESOME! But it will slow down as for life long change it will drop to one or two pounds a week. Remember slow and steady wins the race.
You know I saw something about the protein breakfast on Dr. Oz so yes, good advice and I've been having one egg with whole wheat toast for breakfast, maybe up the protein to 2 eggs or egg whites. Got to keep within my points. I'm hungrier later, like late at night. Thanks :)
♥ I am so damned proud of you.
:) Woosah, honey.
If you don't have other health issues, don't skip the yolk- that's where the big nutrients are! Remember unless you have certain genetic disorders or other diet related issues; the chelesterol you eat is transferred into building blocks for your body. In truth excess sugar is transposed into fat (which increases blood cholesterol) faster than egg yolks :)
Be proud of yourself, and when it is hard; remember small steps. Which means no self depreciation when you have "off" days. We all have them.
Yay you :)
Thanks Sahahria, I won't worry about it then, great info :)
Just want to throw in my two cents as a competitive duathlete. Don't sweat the pounds. Throw the scale out for that matter. The only scale you need is your mirror and how you feel. In addition, remember this: you eat well so you look good in your clothes. You workout so you look good out of them. Have fun!!!
Tomorrow I have a much needed Salon appt., getting my hair cut and highlighted, eyebrows waxed, a facial, some all-over pampering. And then I think it's time for a new avatar. Need something other than sitting in front of my cam but I'm no kind of photographer and my regular camera takes shit for pictures as I'm sure you have all noticed lol.
Had a nice day yesterday, went out to lunch with one of my best friends then we took our families to a movie, poor Pinja had to suffer through the Chipmunks hehe, truth be told it was a wee bit painful for me too :)
Trying to reset, clear my mind and remember what is important in life, like not some silly petty stuff on here ya know...
I cry FOUL! I was duped I tell ya, duped! That sneaky lil' @!$%* . I had told Pinja that I was going to go and pick up my son Justin and when we got back we would all play in the snow, have a snowball fight etc..he just nonchalantly said ok. So we get back and I barely get my head out of the car door and WHAM! A snowball to the head! Justin and I go chasing after him only to be greeted by a barrage of snowballs when we went around the corner. He had an arsenal of pre-made snowballs sitting on top of the gazebo.
Tomorrow, Vengeance will be mine MUAHAHAHA!
COMMENTS
:)
Oh yes my dear time to stock up on your own snow balls =}
Haha That's so cute!
Days like this one, it's great to have a man around ;) Mind you after I made that comment and took the picture my face got nailed with a shovel full of snow lol
COMMENTS
Damn!! LOL.
And there are so many uses. What will be your next use ? Hugs
Hehehe, you know me so well ;)
This is what I woke up to this morning. The first picture is from right outside my front door, my front yard, the second is of part of my back yard. You know, this is the first year that I can ever recall the schools here closing down due to the weather. We are in a valley and used to harsh weather conditions so I was surprised when they did.
COMMENTS
Wow, I hope it stays out there as normally it has an uncanny habit of findind its' way across the pond!
It looks umm, wonderfully cold!
:)
It is pretty. We have only had a dusting, nothing si really sticking.
It's a Winter Wonderland.
ooohhhh Pretty!!
It's coming this way...we're supposed to get 7 inches or so on Friday. But everytime they call for 7 inches we get about 3...reminds me of my wedding night. :P
LOL @ CM...
You forgot to mention who's gonna be shoveling that stuff ;)
We are supposed to get a foot of snow minimum tomorrow night, woke up to a Winter Wonderland this morning, so pretty but the only good thing about tomorrows forecast will be the snowball fights with Pinja and Justin and the snowmen we will be building. Oh and I get to wear my sock monkey gloves :D
COMMENTS
Lucky woman... snow, and monkey gloves. ;)
Snow rock for playing, o doubt.
o.o Snow!
Wow...we're still waiting for our winter here (rain, 50's).
In the daytime, I can still walk around outside in sweats and a t-shirt. It's nice, but we need our seasons to be regular!
There are two kinds of tales: one accurate but not true, the other true but not accurate.
COMMENTS
Sister, which ones you'd follow, lol?
I plead the fifth lol
Lol
I just realized that my last entry sounded like I was high and I had the munchies lol. Just for the record, I don't imbibe in any kind of drugs, not preaching here, to each there own I say. I haven't had a drink either since New Years Eve 2010. I'm thinking that stint will be ending soon, like in July for Pinja's birthday. Hmmm, maybe sooner cuz the ways things have been going a good stiff shot of tequila is lookin' pretty fine ;)
Twinkies and Bite Size Teriyaki Bites, that is what I'm eating. I see a major tummy ache in my future...
COMMENTS
But what a way to go ;-)
Oooh man, I love me some Beef teriyaki bites. and a bag of FunYums. and some Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia. :P
Um yeah...that combination would do it. Magnesium citrate, here we come!
MUAHAHA! Pinja and mines powers of persuasion have at last come to fruition. The boy now thinks it was his idea to go and see Puss N' Boots at the theater today *grins*.
Us adults like a good bit of animation too ya know ;
Off to have some fun with my family for the day, the best part of my life :)
COMMENTS
Aww how cute !
You is the best part of my life.
I think I made an ass of myself by how loud I laughed at "The Glitterbox." Hope you enjoyed it!
OMG. Now I know that I really AM a cradle-robber when I saw Pinja's comment to my entry below this one. LOL!
Baby, it's bubble bath for old ladies like me ;)
COMMENTS
But, but, I bought you mr. bubble..... last time I buy you toiletries!!!!
Mr, Bubble.........kinda says it all doesn't it haha
.... I'll get you for that!
Pandy, you do know you can blow and create your own bubbles for a bubble bath? Just don't push to hard!
awwww it is the thoughts that count though. I do how ever love the Avon Bubble bath lol
Jadee, find you some Philosophy bubble bath in Hot Cocoa. It smells JUST like a cup of hot chocolate. You get all lathered up in this luscious stuff, and it rinses off so you smell all clean and soft. Find it online if you don't have a store near you that sells Philosophy stuff. It is a-fucking-mazing.
And Pinja needs a spanking.
Yes, Yes I do
I buy philosophy from Sephora online, I'll check it out Pat :)
I'll be giving him a spankie tonight hehe
Just went through a bought of family drama, it's just so emotionally draining. Calgon, take me away!
COMMENTS
I remember those commercials growing up. My mother would walk around saying that from time to time and we thought she was just nuts. But NOW I get it. LMAO
Me too!! lol
I remember that as well. Sorry to hear you were having househould family drama tonight. hugs
Thanks muh Rachey *hugs back*
I still say it, when need be.
What the Deuce is Calgon?
LOL...you brought back memories. If we touched mom's Calgon, we got it - lol!
OMG, I just love watching Wipeout, I laugh so damned hard...
COMMENTS
We get that here! The courses seem to be getting worse lol. So much paaaaaain.
We get the Australian version too, but the American one is heaps better. :P
Cuz us Americans are nuts huh? lol
I LOVE the big balls. lol. those are the greatest.
Methinks a smurf was in my shower this morning...hmmmm...
COMMENTS
Oh Gad, not one of those! They are hard to get rid off!
Haha, last week I woke up covered in blue because I didn't realize a shirt of mine was weird like that. o.O
Aha! You is the culprit :P
Are you sure it was a smurf in your shower? You could of been sleep walking.
Menopause is kicking my ass.
COMMENTS
I am not enjoying menopause, to be honest. I keep my eyes on the prize though - no more bleeding out of my hoo-hah. Eventually, no more bleeding out of my hoo-hah.
Hehe, that is the only prize, I sure don't miss it...
I'm just down to the hot flashes. They don't really bother me in the winter, but dayum, in the summer time it pisses me off to get all heated up at work and THEN get a hot flash on top of it...cripes I look like I walked through a garden sprinkler.
Seriously, soy milk and flaxseed help a LOT. They have to build up in your system so you won't really see results till a month or more. Soy milk on your cereal, or just drink it. Flaxseed you can take in caplet form. They cut hot flashes WAY down.
Thanks for the tips Pat :)
It can be annoying at times (damn hot flashes).
But like Req said - no more bleeding from the hoo haw - yipee!
Not feeling real festive, just another day of melancholy discontent. Every year I hope for a better one than the last but somehow that wish never comes to fruition. Last year was a hard one for me, REALLY hard. You all think I share so much of myself on here but in reality you don't know the half of it. I have my own private hell that never passes my lips.
Despite everything, I wish for the few friends I have here to have the best year ever. Stay positive and focused and remember that love for one another is what keeps it all together.
COMMENTS
And I wish that the love you send out is returned to you, tenfold. Along with some good luck, which we all can use. :)
Thanks Pat, love ya :)
