I really need some better luck. My car was parked in the yard by my door so I could unload some groceries and since it was dry I left it parked there. Low and behold my brother in law decides tonight is a good time to mow and first off has to beat on my door wanting the car moved. I happened to be working on something with my nephew who lives in the other half of this duplex so his wife offers to pull it on to the driveway for me. Laughingly saying "if you trust me" as I tossed her my keys. There is nothing but open yard and a large gravel drive with her small car sitting well back from the area I park in.
She comes in a few minutes later white as a sheet saying she's wrecked it. I swear I thought she was joking but no she really had hit the gas instead of the break and rammed my car into the front end of her own.
Of course my car bore the brunt of it since it's the newer one and I am now the proud owner of a altima needing a whole new front bumper and possibly fog lights.
Since I still need to fix the rear end from the hit and run driver at christmas time that got my rear bumper in a parking lot both ends of my car look like hell. I'll have to check the front end alignment too since it could be knocked out of wack.
Crazy part is I really had second thoughts when she walked out and almost ran to stop her. I didn't so I guess I deserve this fubar.
I wish I was comfortable working with electricity. I would change the fixtures in most rooms of my house as I really hate the brass and glass look that I'm dealing with. I've switched to energy efficient lightbulbs and that's good for my pocketbook and the enviroment so yea. I can handle simple plumbing such as fixing the toilet and putting on a new gasket and most things that you need a hammer or screwdriver for but electricity scares the dickens out of me. Ah well I'm sure there are books that will teach me how to do it otherwise I could always call my cousin Jack who is a master electrician. lol

Like he said ^^^
Only 2 or three wires, easily color coded. Just be sure the breaker is off or fuse is pulled.
Piece of Pie.
Easy as Cake.
lol
Thanks guys, I'll have to give it a try (starting with a small backroom maybe. lol If I post a frizzy hairdo you'll know I screwed it up.
And make sure someone is around to help if you fall. please?!!!
except in some lights where you have two switches working the same bulb - those you leave to people who know what they are doing I reckon because they have four wires
If its just swapping the things on the end of the wires, can't you just write down what wire came out of what labelled hole and put it back in the same hole on the new thingie ?
Art that was what I was wondering as I'd be sure to mix them up otherwise. lol
I feel as if my emotions are so raw that I'm enclosed in bubble wrap to maintain control. But every so often one bursts and a flash of pain roars through me, bringing grief, tears, remorse, second thoughts and denial. Then I slowly reclaim my control and wrap back up to continue on with my life.
So much work to be done here, cleaning up and clearing out. I find myself torn between happy that I can finally spread out and make a place fit my own personality then I remember why and get upset that I'm having a good time. I guess that's normal and just more of the grief stuff but it still feels stupid to become upset simply because I forgot for a bit and was having a good time. Dumb really dumb.
I've missed a lot of things here on VR seems lots of changes have went on as is sop here anyway. lol But oddly enough there are many I talk with that seem to also be in a dark place right now with things going on in real life and some online that is keeping them upset.
Then there are the usual folks that just seem to have a ball kicking up trouble for themselves and others. I cannot imagine a life so boring that I would need to cause trouble online to be entertained but that seems to be the case for some here. Ah well, good luck to them, I guess.

I have been thinking about things and I do believe I can do more. I enjoy myself immensley in this world and I am realistic enough to know what's real and what's not. It would be a wonderful experience to make a real difference in some way.
The job I was taxed with is fun and looks great but doesn't take much time now that the backbone is in place.
I do hope that 3 or 4 others that I think would be excellent choices move toward it also.
I must confess there are only a couple of people I would have any problems with in the position and one in particular that I would find offensive. But I do trust the man in charge so I'm going to watch as I'm sure he'll make good decision.

Finally got all the pictures resized and loaded back into my portfolio plus added in the text I wanted with them. I don't have the talent to entertain others with my camera so I will use it to put pictures that mean something to me or my friends. I've added in some pictures of my Mom now that she cannot object to it and some of her and my dad too.
