The Ultimate Vampire Resource and Directory

I had posted this in one of the forums, I was asked about an ideal walk in the fall and was asked to share it so, forever girl crush this is for you!!

Through the woods at dusk, the fading sunlight hitting all the reds and yellows of the leaves on the tress. The fallen leaves slightly crunching under my footsteps as my cloak flows behind me lifting them slightly into the air. It has rained the night before the scent of it is still thick in the cool air around me and lifts to my nostrils with each passing step. I can hear the animals around me scurrying into their dens of thick mosses and twigs. I cannot help but wonder if they see me as a friend or foe as I gather what I came here for. Perhaps some twigs of my own to use for a fall wreath, some colorful leaves and pine cones for decoration. Perhaps I am here to gather some needed supplies for a ritual of protection or full bounty for the coming seasons. Maybe I am just here to enjoy the energy of nature and share my own with it. For whatever reason I am here sharing this moment with them, taking in the same sights and sounds. finding a moment of peace from the chaos of the outside world. Perhaps I should have remembered that here every thing is equal prey and predator...

We were walking deeper and deeper into the woods. There was barely a trail. We were talking and laughing. As dusk approached her laughter became more strained, nervous giggles. She mentioned that the woods seemed scarier at night, and clung to my arm tightly. I don’t know what she was so worried about. I’m the one that was going to have to walk back in the dark alone…
