Why am I up at this ungodly hour? I am so not waiting up just to put the clocks forward an hour. I just came back from a friend’s house where we all get together and watch a film and just generally chat and catch up.
I nailed ‘The Avengers’ at last, I thoroughly loved it. Great action film where you really don’t have to think.
We all ate Chinese and I am full to the brim. I should have stayed over really but I have my daughter coming in the morning (in a few hours actually), and I’ll be dropping her off at church. I’m not happy with that and nor is she but I have a deal with her mum!
Anyway, back to tonight, great film, great food and great company, It was a win evening.
As for the clocks going forward as we change to British Summertime ….. it snowed on my way home!
Marriage equality is something that never had crossed my mind in any serious way. It has always been easy to say that since I’m straight it hasn’t bothered me that much.
I stand very much on the side-lines and have no real opinion about this subject. It’s not that I’m not informed it’s just that … well I guess after years of following the norms and values (which could also be called ‘brainwashing’) I can’t just hit the like or share button that would represent my support for the cause of same sex marriages.
Does this make me evil? Am I really likened to those that either said nothing or stood and watched as the race riots and demonstrations of old that took place, and am I as bad as those that physically blocked the minority from doing their thing?
As a Jew I am fully aware of percussion, so why am I having this problem now? Is it a simple state of morality? G-d knows!

You can't be moved to do something if you simply don't feel it. I'm *for* it, but I haven't changed my Facebook avatar. Cristo is *for* it, and has fought for it in school debates, and has changed his Facebook avatar to show his support for the Supreme Court proceedings today.
I believe in the separation of church and state. I don't think religion belongs in our secular law. Equal rights for all- if straight people have them, so should all. In my opinion, anyway.
I champion equal rights because I can only imagine what if would be like if the tables were turned. I have to care in order to expect any kind of care for myself.
'what *it* would be like'
It really is a tough one , well for me. It's like I know the right thing to do but choose to bury my head, at least for now.
I admire people that can make the call and sit behind choice. I'm just not there yet!
heh images stole my words lol. You're not evil you're just neutral. I am for it but i haven't been on fb for a long time so I ask, Is this being discussed in the Uk or Usa? Or is it just general? All I know is that in France it was accepted by people but don't know if it was accepted by their presedent.
The UK is ahead of most countries with this as we already allow gay marriages under the human rights system. America is currently presiding on a decision today.
I think my own opinion is now being swayed in favour but simply because I do support human rights.
What changed my mind was watching a story about two young men, in love, and wanting to get married. Then one of them died.
After his death, his parents forbade his partner to be at the funeral. They blamed him for their son's "gay problem". The love of the deceased was not allowed in the funeral.
The business they grew together, was being torn apart by the family that "disowned him".
I don't care about the morality, or religious stance; I care about people have the right to determine who their family is.

I actually read about this story and have since heard many others. It is heart wrenching, I do now hope a way can be forged to change the way we think among those that 'refuse' to see it.
For me it comes down to one simple word that means so much, LOVE. Who are we to say you can't love who you choose? I can't imagine God frowning on something so good as love. With that being said religion has no place in government. Equality means just that and that means there should be no lines drawn.
You aren't evil. Disconnected? Maybe you just aren't sure about your feelings on the matter so prefer not to think too much about it? Regardless, you are a good man.
Unlike Malta then, which is behind the rest of the Western countries hehe.
Pandora, hit the nail on the head. Love. Religions are about that, so I still can't understand the ''immorality'' in it. Also with rights a partner can inherit the belongings n not be left alone with nothing, just to mention one legal point of view.
Same sex state marriages are permissible in the UK as you know, but in the eyes of God it's amoral. Personally I hope it stays that way as it suits both communities
There is something very wrong with a child being raised by same sex parents though.. It's not something the Church taught us based on the moral teachings of the Bible.
Happy Pesach everyone.
Set free many thousands of years ago we will tonight relate a message to our young about the responsibility they will carry to the next generation. Whether they are observant of the religion or not it is important to know from where we came and just what we have achieved and where we are today.
Again, warm wishes for a peaceful and good Passover.
Whilst watching a quiz show called ‘Pointless’ I just found out that the spelling of Sulphur has been changed to Sulfur.
Apparently the change has nothing to do with ‘we spell it one way and the Americans spell it another’ as in science it was always spelt the same way.
That said, Microsoft Word’s spell-checker will rule a red line under ‘Sulfur’ as it being spelt incorrectly … it would seem no one has told them yet.
Note to the Yanks… it still has a ‘U’ in it! :-p
With Passover soon upon them, the Jewish community in Madrid found themselves in a desperate situation. There was an acute shortage of horseradish. You probably know that horseradish is the key, if not only, ingredient of that fiery condiment for gefilte fish that is known as chrain.
A hue and cry arose and the entire community was mobilized in an effort to prevent this shonda (shame, tragedy).
All the European Union countries gave the same reply, "Sorry, we have none to send".
In desperation, the Rabbi phoned one of his Yeshiva friends in Tel Aviv and begged him to send a crate of horseradish by air freight.
Two days before Passover, a crate of grade Aleph, tear-jerking, Israeli horseradish was loaded at Ben Gurion Airport onto EL Al flight 789 to Madrid, and all seemed to be well.
Unfortunately, when the Rabbi went to the Madrid airport to claim the horseradish, he was informed that a wildcat strike had just broken out and no shipments would be unloaded for at least four days.
As a result:-
The chrain in Spain stayed mainly on the plane.
Happy Pesach
I just got treated to a pack of 3 mini Cadbury creme eggs. I must be on a role.
They were bought for, and I quote, ''good behaviour''!
Loved again!
The plan is to eat them next week (Easter w/end), yea, like that's gonna happen.
So I'll be back in the naughty corner with my sugar levels way up there, but you and I know that it would have been worth it.

Ooo...all them sugary treats...more more more:P
Cadbury creme eggs are the best. Not your fault if you eat it early. :x lol
and i've been hearing all day not to eat candy n meat due to the Lady of Sorrows day, blah.
:D You should of shared them, not eaten them all. But since I have eaten a few during this season.. :)
I have a daughter who is 14.
That statement alone is enough to put the fear into many a good parent.
So she's 14 going on 40. She knows everything and takes little or no advice these days. Her mobile is glued to her hand and her attitude needs to be seriously trimmed.
What does it mean when I’m told she’s normal for her age? She’s very hormonal and seems angry all the time (well not all the time but….), I want my little girl back.
This was going somewhere but I've decided to leave it at that for now!

I have two daughters one 19 and one 16.
The anger will pass. However, the cell phone is glued to her permanently. The best thing you can do, is just upgrade it from time to time. ROTFL
LF, you just put a smile on my face .. I get to thank you for that.
We do grow out of it. ;)
Ha! I am 46 and still think I know everything. ;)
No phone tho, gods I hate those things.
Buckle up and hold on, sure she will grow out of it and need her Daddy again.
All you can do is just be there for her... girls go through so many changes at that age...but at the end of it you will still have your lil girl :)
I have 2 daughters 17 almost 18 and a 13yrold and i seem to piss the 13yrold all the time. shes not glued to a phone but she is glued to her computer for drawing...lol My 17yrold drives me nuts she thinks im her personal ATM lol
lol I'm 28 and like that ;p
I went through the same thing with my daughter. She was the sweetest girl until she turned 14 and then I didn't recognize her. Holy hell. Where did she go? She still hasn't changed much from that #@!% and she is 22.
I have to LOL, the Sandbox has a thread ''Ways to Die A-Z''
So imaginative and yet so not! I expected more from you Sandboxers!! :-p

i'm too awesome to die.
For some time many of us have wondered just who is Jack Schitt?
We find ourselves at a loss when someone says, 'You don't know Jack Schitt!’ Well, thanks to my genealogy efforts, you can now respond in an intellectual way.
Jack Schitt is the only son of Awe Schitt. Awe Schitt, the fertilizer magnate, who married O. Schitt, the owner of Needeep N. Schitt, Inc. They had one son, Jack.
In turn, Jack Schitt married Noe Schitt. The deeply religious couple produced six children: Holie Schitt, Giva Schitt, Fulla Schitt, Bull Schitt, and the twins Deep Schitt and Dip Schitt.
Against her parents' objections, Deep Schitt married Dumb Schitt, a high school dropout.
After being married 15 years, Jack and Noe Schitt divorced. Noe Schitt later married Ted Sherlock, and because her kids were living with them, she wanted to keep her previous name. She was then known as Noe Schitt Sherlock.
Meanwhile, Dip Schitt married Loda Schitt, and they produced a son with a rather nervous disposition named Chicken Schitt. Two of the other six children, Fulla Schitt and Giva Schitt, were inseparable throughout childhood and subsequently married the Happens brothers in a dual ceremony. The wedding announcement in the newspaper announced the Schitt-Happens nuptials. The Schitt-Happens children were Dawg, Byrd, and Horse.
Bull Schitt, the prodigal son, left home to tour the world. He recently returned from Italy with his new Italian bride, Pisa Schitt.
Now when someone says, 'You don't know Jack Schitt', you can correct them.
Sincerely,
Crock O. Schitt

Hahahaha! You funny!!!! :P
lol I think I saw this Schitt somewhere a few years ago lol.
Cool Schitt!
What a dreck-ful story. lol
Wish i had known this whilst growing up. I could have quoted this to my parents lol
It’s impossible as an ardent journal reader not to know what crap goes on and between whom on this site.
When is common sense and maturity going to shine its colours?!!
I shouldn’t say this but it is becoming laughable, thing is I’m not laughing with you.
There use to be a hard core of decent people who would write wonderful journal entries and keep me buzzing and rooting for the home team. They would carry you on small journeys through their ups and downs without the extra dramatics that so many seem to feel the need to use.
Nowadays I just move past more journals than I care to mention.

Far and few in between nowdays for me as well~sighs~
well the tele got boring so i'm here:)
Nothing wrong with your entries sweetie :-)
I hear ya.
I do the same thing. I scroll past the majority of them now.
i know, i know,just saying:p
My daughter and I went to the McDonald's check-out to pay our bill and I gave the clerk a £5 note.
Our total bill was £4.20, so I also handed her a 20 pence piece.
She said, 'You gave me too much money.'
I said, 'Yes I know, but this way you can just give me £1 back.'
She sighed and went to get the Manager who asked me to repeat my request.
I did so, and he handed me back the 20 pence and said 'We're sorry but we do not do that kind of thing.'
The clerk then proceeded to give me back 80 pence in change.
Do not confuse the clerks at MacDonald's in St Albans , Hertfordshire.!!

Are you kidding? o.O
What is the conversion between a dollar and a euro? And the coins and a pence?

So I hear a song in the background of an episode of ‘How I met Your Mom’, I can’t make it out clear enough but I know I like it and now my curiosity is driven.
So I go online and first I have to find out the exact episode and what season it was in and then I ask the question, ‘’what was the name of the song bla bla bla…!
I couldn’t believe it when I saw a host of questions all pointing to the very same thing I was looking for. This means there are loads of others just like me who take the time to go through this process….
Anyway, that song was….
