she pulled her shades down tight so she wouldn't be urged to wish on those fickle stars.
she told herself to just hang on tight, that'd it'd all work out in the end...
but poor thing forgot.
soon the box no longer screamed to be open...
the shades stopped with their refusal to stay closed.
she flipped off a switch, and left this room, this room that
once contained her life, and her passion, in perpetual darkness...
and they laughed,
because she was exactly where the wanted her.....
