Good evening, my friends.

I am a chronicler. An historian, if you will. I tell the tales of those who cannot, or will not, tell their own. I document their finest - and lowest - moments.

My tales are told to the public, to those who merely enjoy them as stories, fiction, make believe. Those who are within the ranks - you? - know better and take these tales to glean their truths.

As you may have surmised, I am a writer in this mundane life. I am currently working on my Master's Degree in Writing Popular Fiction. The thesis for this program is a full length, polished and marketable novel. The subject of mine is the meeting (and subsequent battles) between energy (or psychic) vampires and sanguineous (or traditional) vampires.

I've been into vampires for at least twenty five years (yes, I'm old) and have done much, much research on the legends. My poor English profs during college bore the brunt of my interest. ;) Now, I content myself with writing about them and indulging in a little bit of roleplay now and then.

I also write other speculative fiction. I've tried to just put together plain, mainstream stories, but somehow there always ends up some odd thing in there: a ghost, a mysterious disappearing old woman, a werewolf, a zombie. I don't know why... weirdness is just drawn to my stories.

Other things about me:

I'm in my mid-thirties and have been actively involved in alternate lifestyles for well over a decade. If you're not sure what this means and you're interested, feel free to message me and ask.

Seeing me on the street, most people wouldn't have an inkling about what my life is... and I like it that way. I look fairly normal - red hair, brown eyes, pale skin and freckles. I don't dress in alternative or gothy clothes (unless I'm going somewhere special). I don't wear a lot of make-up or heavy eyeliner. But those who are also in the lifestyle I live will understand the subtle things I wear: the triskelion dangling from the chain around my neck, the Chinese kanji on my car. And that works for me. I enjoy being underground. Funny that. :)

I have somewhat eclectic tastes in music, though my favorite music is British and alternative stuff from the 80s. Back when alternative meant "not played on mainstream radio."

I'm not very in-tune with pop culture as the only reason I have a TV is for the PS2 and the only reason I have cable is for the internet. The cable isn't even hooked up to the tv. Many, many pop culture references fly so high over my head, I'd need a net to catch them. ;)

Ghosties
Oh, and one last tidbit for now... I am a ghost-hunter. I'm the technical manager for a paranormal investigation team. We visit places that are reportedly haunted and set up cameras, voice recorders, etc, in the hopes of catching some scientific data that can't be explained away. I've had a couple creepy experiences, but I'm still looking for that hard proof. Some day.....
