Who am I?
I'm a 20-something year old Pagan living in the beautiful town of York, England. I graduated from York St John University in 2011 in Media. Despite this, I now follow a career in retail. Go figure.
I am engaged to my childhood sweetheart, so no, I am not single nor looing for some fun. If your intention to message me is 'hi, you single?' Let me save you typing out that message. No.
My pagan beliefs mean a lot to me- they have made me who I am and what I do. From celebrating the seasons, to cooking and gardening, my Path influences all parts of my life.
My fascination with the supernatural, in particular vampires, has always existed. It was a 'phase' my parents thought. Something I would grow out of. I'm still waiting for that to happen. I studied in depth vampires for my dissertation at University, and really enjoyed the research process of that.
I am an animal lover. Currently in my household lives 2 gerbils, a cat and a whole load of fish. The cat was the most recent addition to the household, after she was adopted from the local Cats Protection.
I have been hurt in the past. I have suffered with depression. I have found it difficult to trust people. I have struggled to open up to new friends. The lot dealt to me in this life has been a tough one- and I know there is a lesson to be learnt somewhere within the chaos that life throws at me. Somehow though, I find that I struggle through, becoming stronger and becoming my own, individual self. I am who and what I am today because of the life that I have lead. I have made mistakes and felt a wide range of emotions. I have felt my world collapse around me, and found a way to rebuild it. I am now a very open, friendly person. The most intimate parts of me (in terms of who I am) will remain hidden to most unless I find a connection in order to call you a close friend. Once I find you are a close friend, you have a friend for life. My trust is not easily earned, and once broken cannot ever be regained.
I am someone who tries to not be prejudice against others. I don't care for your skin colour, sexual orientation or religious beliefs. If you are nice to me, I repay the compliment in kindness. I like individuals with their own opinion- but please do not push your beliefs onto me if they are not something I agree with. A discussion is fine. Telling me my opinions are wrong is not fine.
