Realistic is boring. I gave up on being realistic a long time ago. I was never any good at it anyways.
OK, I'm no good at describing things, including describing myself. But don't think you know me after reading my profile. "One cannot truly know anything until one has fully experienced it". It doesn't go with everything, you know. But in this case it does. Ok, here we go.... I am a very calm and most of the time a taciturn guy, but don't fuck with me 'cause then you will regret it! I can be wild at times and really childish. I'm much of a loner, love to be alone all the time, can do what I want without thinking of what others want me to do. Not that I care what others think of me, but it's just the feeling to be free. To do whatever you want, where you want and when you want. My dad died in cancer when I was 7 years old and I still miss him. I don't remember so much about him....or....I remember how he was and so on but I don't remember the feelings I got when he was around and the feelings when he talked to me. But of course I'm fine now. It was so long ago, so it's fairly logical that I've moved on and don't bother anymore. It's all in the past...., right? My personal style is somewhat grungy. I mean, I listen mostly on grunge and I don’t really care what I wear. But I still want to look good at times and I care fairly about my appearance. Of course appearance matters. Those who say something else are just lying to themselves and won’t admit it. But the most important are obviously what’s inside. In the end one cannot be anything else but the true self. Let's keep the music with us. We'll always have it. Kurt had an ethic towards his fans that was rooted in the punk rock way of thinking. No band is special, no player royalty. If you've got a guitar and a lot of soul, just bang something out and mean it. You're the superstar. Collecting the tones and rhythms that are uniquely and universally human: music! Heck, use your guitar as a drum. Just catch the groove and let it flow out of your heart. That's the level that Kurt spoke to us on: in our hearts. And that's where he and his music will always be forever. - Krist Novoselic. Kurt Cobain was not a god, he was a human being. If you try to live your life as he did then you have serious problems. Kurt was a humble man. He once said that he would never want to see "Cobain is God" spraypainted anywhere. Putting him above everything else takes away from his music and his band, not to mention his life. We shouldn't remember him for the way he died, but what he did while he was alive. He was a man. He was responsible for some of the most emotional, painful, and beautiful music to come along since the Beatles. But he was a human being with problems just like the rest of us. - Matt Reeder.
