Male is my gender, gay is my birthright, but HORROR is my life. Having walked this earth many years longer than most of you, my youth was transformed by watching the gray horrors of the 30's and 40's on small black and white television sets. My teens were crafted through the establshment of Hammer Horror - with it's blood RED tapasty and it's long fanged exposure.

Unimportant moments of this fleeting life were spent in between watching horror, reading horror, sexing horror.

My special love for vampires came long before Mrs. Rice put fingers to typewriter to create our beloved Lestat's, Louis's and Claudia's - which only drew me into her world that much faster. But alas she has since sold us out with bad writing and inane subjects of late.

But there is so much more to our world of vampires than her world. How much joy have I found in
Richard Burton Matheson, David Thomas Lord, Dan Simmons, George R.R. Martin, Elizabeth Kostova, Whitley Strieber, Rick R Reed, Poppy Z. Brite, Stephen King, S.P. Somtow, Simon Clark, Nancy Collins, David Wellington, and Guillermo Del Toro. Though many times they only dip into the well once - their worlds were always worth the trip.
