Power, what do we mean by that? Power is a very emotive word isn't it. Many use the word when informing us of their abilities. For example Bob may tell Jane that he has empathic powers.
Power , what kind of power do we mean ? Magick powers, healing powers, the ability to walk the astral realm, the ability to sway a persons beliefs, the ability to sway people to any beliefs....so many ways in which to have power, The ability to make you smile...now there is a power.
Some I work on. Some I have a natural ability in. Both take practise and the need to do it, example: If you have a need to work magicks you, if you are sensible, review what it is you think you need magicks for, you research what would be best..do you turn to wicca or the Left hand path. I suppose this would depend on wether you believe anything you do comes back three fold.You gather any resources necessary to perform the magicks, check off that you know all there is to know and do then perform it. That takes patience and learning.
Wheres as if I want to make you smile, I say something that I feel will do the desired job. The power to make someone laugh or change their attitudes on something..Charisma I suppose you call it. Power at its best I feel and a very good tool to have.
There are too many concerned with gaining powers that they don't know how to use or work or why indeed they want them in the first place. Most I meet have this romantic view of certain paths they choose because it makes them look cool they feel. They blunder in and have no idea about that which they speak of. No research and like most religions and faiths taken on face value after listening to someone else views....probably by some charismatic person...
