Eleven hours ago, I was standing on the dock in Spain after a fabulous vacation in Italy. I loved the place, and I liked it so much that I know I have to go back to Florence and Rome. I simply did not have the time to look into every nook and cranny as I wanted too. I have loads of photos as you can imagine! Like a hundred at least of inside St. Peter's at the Vatican. The opulence and riches of the place so much more than I ever imagined. Incredibly, Popes' who were long dead lay in state inside glass coffins. Oh the roofs.. ceilings, oh. my. God. Oh. MY.GOD. Photographs could never do it justice, you couldn't photograph something so beautiful and get the same result as when you viewed it... you just must go and see the real thing if you can.
Firenze (Florence) is a sight to behold, as around every corner, there is another beautiful picture, and unique art work by a famous sculputres or artists...
Thinking this entery may sound screwy, but dam I am tired. I watched the sun rise over the Med at Malaga, Spain this morning *yawns* Pictures to follow!

The wedding was fabulous and the bride looked awesome. I cried at the wedding service because the soloist sang a song which forever will remind me of my Father.
Nicola and her husband arrived at reception by helicopter any why not.. Well we all had a wonderful time. The flip flops were just incase you had sore feet.
I am off to the Med in four hours time! First stop Malaga and then Valencia, after Italy mmmmm. I am sure I won't sleep soooooo excited!

Apparently at the wedding reception tomorrow all us ladies are receiving a pair of flop flips to wear. Lol, the mind bogles. What for?? This should be interesting!

I can't sleep right now as I am fretting about tomorrow. I always managed visits to the dentist, and naturally took care of my teeth all of my life. Never had a phobia about being there. NOW suddenly out of the blue, I can't bear to have the cotton roll stuffed inbetween my cheek and toothline to allow the dentist more space to work. The thought of having that in my mouth tomorrow reduced me to tears with fear earlier today, and I had to stop the car to get my breath back. Sighs, I don't understand this. Usually it's the needle, or drill that freaks people out, but a cotton wool roll??? What on earth is going on here?

I. friggin. hate. flashy. avatars. It makes me go all screwy eyed lol. When, I see an ad on a website that has flashing advertisments, pictures or whatever flashing I usually navigate away from the page as quickly as possible. Is there anyway you make it stop??

I don't know if anyone here follows, "Game of Thrones" well it is being filmed not far from here, and the hurricane Katia has devasted the set.
From the BBC news room:
"A catering marquee being used on the set of the series Game of Thrones was ripped into the air near the Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge on the north coast.
It is understood one person was taken to hospital with back injuries."
As I speak, the winds are still pretty high at about 75mph, and I hear they are blowing over to Scotland as the day progresses. Other than the one casualty from the t.v. I have heard of no other injuries here. Thank God.
By the way, .. it was not so far away around the north coast, Dunluce Castle had it's fair share of storm damage years back, when the entire kitchen including food, and cooks fell into the ocean!

Uh uh.. I think Katia is arriving. Winds have picked up here a bit but we are expected to get the worse of it later tonight and tomorrow. Thank God, we never get hurricanes like America but the tailwinds of the Anerican hurricanes over here are usually strong enough to cause minor structural damage and blow down trees. Yes, trees.. And Ireland has a lot of trees!

This is such a poignant time. Our family lost my brother in law last month, and now my Aunt is losing her battle against the ravages of cancer also. She is so brave and hasn't complained even once, with all the pain she is going through having chemotheraphy and getting platelets. That is admirable, and so brave of her. The lady is so dignified., and I love her very much.

Well, today is calmer and I have finally caught up on outstanding work issues. Next week I will get more time to look into the Masters subject, but for now I am off to watch the last day of the Northern Ireland airshow and call in to give my Mum a hug and some company :)

I have never knew what it is like to drive at 80 to a 100 mph in a built up environment before tonight. Man, I am furious.. I felt like a lion couped up in a cage until I escaped. I was a safety risk. Damn, damn, damn..I am SO MAD AT YOU! Damnyou!

Today we have the airshow in my part of the world. It never ceases to amaze me how low those aircraft fly particularly with so many people and a built environment so close below! Unfortunately, I will not be attending this year as I have a pre-construction safety plan to write up for a new project that has to be complete for Monday. Pouring through architects plans never fails to bore me silly... But if it gets to me I will wander down to the gym and lose some of my boredom there!
Yea, "smiles" I did manage to get back to the gym earlier this week and managed the treadmill, fast walking and jogging, I pulled of 4kms which is great for being so long out of it! I also managed fifty squats with the aeroball to support my back, and fifteen minutes on the bike, however; my fitness level is far from were it used to be. Have to top up on my tan at the sunbed also for holidays now.. Oh, I know I can just hear the "you should know better about sunbeds malarky" but hey, its just once or twice in a lifetime!

This is what was sprung on me today; Malaga, Valencia, Rome, Corsica, La Spezia! Flight takes off straight after an all day wedding for a friend and then the wedding party.. First stop, Malaga at 6.20 am and NOT my hotel bedroom after the wedding!

Thankyou guys.. although most of you who have commented are from further west than me, I am so envious that you lot can travel a continent by never having to get more than 2 metres of the ground! And, Bloodlife.. hey, I am coming to London on the 7th of October for another meeting in Mayfair if you are around :)
