I walk slowly, as one does in dreams,

Nothing here seems to be real,

How does one know what to feel?



What does one expect to find,

Dreaming of lost things left behind?

Behind me lies nothing but ruins,

People dead, with broken hearts and bruises.



What did i want to be instead,

Leaving behind all the lies and dread,

Everything I know is all tainted and gone,

And why even here, is it twisted and wrong?

I am not you average girl.

I have this morbid curiosity that gets me into trouble.

From the way she walks.

To the way she talks.

From the way she moves

To the way she grooves.

I am not completely whole.

The world has already taken its toll.

All family does is scream and shout.

Dark thoughts creep through sometimes to rip open the light

Sometimes the light can't take the pressure of the night

It will start to dim if it's not vigilant enough

It will find that the light is more tough.



People say light is the one that don't last

That the dark is ever near

But if that is true, then why are you

The light, forever here?



Innocent eyes and sweet lips

With words like dripping honey

Is always your task to take over

And into her soul you slip



What happens when you have her soul,

And you cannot leave her whole,

And all her bright shiny light is all gone,

to which of will you move on?
