It clashes with my fur!

A long time ago, I had this cat named Caslon (yes, after the font). She was a red cat (you'd call her orange) and she was a typical, opinionated redhead (I can say this being a redhead myself). Caslon was not a young cat when she graced us with her presence. She LOVED cat beds and had many. I found a very pretty red, white, and blue bed one day browsing the pet store clearance bins and decided Caslon had to have the bed. Caslon HATED this bed and I mean hated it with a purple passion. She would drag it to her litter pan, stuff it inside and pee on it. I'm telling you, she hated this bed. We couldn't figure out why. This bed was made just like her other beds. It was nice, soft and donut-shaped just like all her other beds. One day when my friend was visiting (also a redhead), Caslon proceeded to demonstrate her distaste for her new bed. I commented that I could not understand why Caslon loathed this bed. My friend replied simply "duh, it clashes with her fur! Don't you know redheads aren't supposed to wear red!" We laughed hysterically as I threw the bed in the trash, completely giving up on trying to get Caslon to like the red, white, and blue bed.

Incidentally, this redhead wears red any time she damn well pleases. 😼😉

Well, it appears that I had a Monday kind of Monday as well. I somehow ended up with malware on my work computer which took half of the day to remove. Turns out that when you get malware on a work computer at a very large law firm, it is VERY SERIOUS and about shuts half of the firm down until it is removed. The things one learns. Then when my mom went to put our garage door up upon returning from a medical appointment, the door came completely off the runners... again. This is the second time in under three weeks. Also found out that best friend's mother has colorectal cancer. Apparently, it seems that it is pretty aggressive. They will find out more after going to the doctor for the staging results this morning.
