these cuts they make her feel high

watching the blade cut deep in to her skin
letting the pain take over like a drug

she is addicted to the feel of the pain
and watching the blood drip from her cuts

she watches in awe as the blood drips away
like the pain that she feels in her heart

all fades away hoping to never return
that is where she is wrong

oh it does return and the cycle begins all over
again

and she wonders when the pain will ever stop
