Nah not at the moment. It's more along the lines of "Damn I feel like a zombie.. Half alive but totally dead"

it's that old feeling. I have the blahs happening. A shot of life is needed.

Uncreative. mostly a blank mind. No inspiration. Slightly uncomfortable. Music isn't even doing anything for me.

Now that my husband is participating again I can see how his levels effect my levels. Yowsers! His profile is referred by mine and as long as he is active I barely have to work on this at all.

Can you imagine being someone who relies heavily on referrals for level? Wow.

Headache is back. The kind that makes me feel sick.

Compounded by teen angst. Not just any teen angst but the angst of a child who is feeling overwhelmed by her thoughts. One of the few nights that I am reminded that I have to let her work through it and "self-calm".

I have seen her fall asleep in front of a television on full volume but tonight casual conversation is sending her over the edge.

I have no doubt that she is in her room right now getting annoyed at me for typing to loud.

Not to worry young lady, I am going to bed soon.

10 lbs of chicken leg quarters now I can now make the cats and the dogs happy.

I got something for my headache and that made me happy.

Now I am going to wash dishes and start spaghetti and that should make everyone else happy.

It is a huge deal for us. We are used to being poor but lately we have been really in bad shape. It is amazing what a person can glean for $30 when they keep their eyes peeled and use their imaginations.

Here is what I am thinking today. We are going to be eating Chinese style for a bit. I can manage a chicken stir fry with rice(after I cook the chicken in the crock pot)in the microwave. I can also do spring rolls if I can manage to make the egg-roll wraps. I think I can do this every day that people can stand it for the next few weeks.

I think.

My son has already suggested sweetened bell pepper filling, coconut and cheesecake filled.

Blue birds is an organization not unlike the Girl/Boy Scouts.

I had to look it up because I was born into the Girl Scouts and Bluebirds were just my cousin's friends.

It was a part of Campfire Girls(co-ed since 1975)that represented the younger elementary school set.

Yesterday I finally got a prescription for my daughter's glasses. It only took a year to find a local ophthalmologist that would take my insurance. Damned bloody damned worthless medicaid cards.

I digress; so I finally got her prescription and an option. $86 pays for a full year of Oasis contacts and she only has to wear one in her left eye or glasses. My mother has offered to pay for the contacts.

Note I say she has offered, that does not mean she will follow through. I have a long history of being disappointed by her and she has at the very least been consistent in her additional neglect of my children, her grandchildren. They didn't actually know who she was until recently, they thought she was a friend of the family.

Just the same I hope she comes through this one time because I have been trying to search for prescription glasses online and having a difficult time.

My brother is Autistic and my daughter is documented as being PDD which is borderline Aspergers. My mother had special ed and therapists while I have had to maneuver the special needs coping myself.

We will wait and see.

I live in a town kin to Silent Hill. I see it all the time. Hell, even at the HS graduation, not a single graduate thanked their parents or teachers or fellow students. They all thanked God saying that without him they never would have made it because he made it all possible. Different sitch, same concept.... Retardedness either way.

(Copied from dictionary.com because I am to lazy to type it all out but I did search the words individually so I feel I have accomplished something.)

their~

pronoun

1. a form of the possessive case of they used as an attributive adjective, before a noun: their home; their rights as citizens; their departure for Rome.

2. (used after an indefinite singular antecedent in place of the definite masculine form his or the definite feminine form her ): Someone left their book on the table. Did everyone bring their lunch?

The word their is often confused with they're which is a contraction(marriage if you prefer)of they are.

Neither of them should ever be confused with there.

there(definition)

adverb

1. in or at that place ( opposed to here): She is there now.

2. at that point in an action, speech, etc.: He stopped there for applause.

3. in that matter, particular, or respect: His anger was justified there.

4. into or to that place; thither: We went there last year.

5. (used by way of calling attention to something or someone): There they go.

Their and they're should never be confused with there. It shows ignorance of the english language and is intolerable. Here is what I do when I am in the slightest doubt. I open a new tab and I write the word that I am using. This insures contextual accuracy and correct spelling. I never trust spellcheck implicitly and no one else should. While it may insure that there is spelled properly when typing out "I am going to there house" it is in no way a grammar check.

(I did end up typing a bit anyway but I did copy and paste the definitions.)

Some people around here(by that I mean one nutty person with multiple profiles)need to let people speak for themselves if they feel they need defense from others in the Dark Network.

I certainly never asked you to rally my cause. In fact I never actually had a cause. You created one and then pulled my alti-username into it and now that it is long over and in the past you again are name dropping people into your cause when you have no right.

It makes you foolish and it officially makes you the one with no life, yep right alongside my actual friends who also have no lives; as evidenced by their many Sire+ profiles. They accept that I say they have no lives and also know that if I will speak for myself all on my own without some delusional lunatic speak for me.

Now if this warrants such go right ahead.. Block me, take my honor, rate me 1 numerous times and do it from all of your friends and family and covenmates profiles just like you have atyourwindow, you friggin psycho.

My alti WAS charlybaltimore and I never asked therealthing to speak on my behalf or drag me into any of her crap.

I have had some luck of sorts with the pet food.

When my range broke I had to start over again. We went and bought kibble for the animals.

I started mixing a tablespoon of Diatomatious Earth into a 1/2 cup milk for each dish of pet food. Cats twice a day dogs once a day. At an average of 3 cats per feeder 1 Tablespoon works out to a round serving per animal.

The milk went over the kibbles and everyone said nom nom nom.

Over Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday I did more researching on animal diets. I finally looked into the Barf diet again through a holistic site that I found. Now I see where dogs and cats would be getting dietary fiber from! Duh! That also solves one of the budgeting issues.

I think that I can buy enough meats at a reduced price to satisfy everyone. Fruits and greens for the dogs can be purchased reduced also and stored in the freezer but in addition to that I can pull grasses and weeds from outside! Again, DUH!

On Friday I cleaned out my fridge. I had a bowl of turkey backs from earlier in the week when I was playing with pet food recipes. I also had a chicken neck and some other choice pieces from a roaster I had cooked and some nice tender pork bones(using a crockpot does that). I threw all of that into a crockpot and filled the pot with water. I also threw in half a lemon and a handful of turnip greens from my neighbors garden. I cooked it all day and all night(recommended was 12 hours)and in the morning I smashed those bones up with potato masher and then let it sit to cool.

Last night I served up one ladle per dish for the cats and a 1 liquid measure cup for the dogs. Cat feeders are 1 cup kibble per. Dog food bowls 2 cups food per+the soup. Those little shits woke me up at 6:30am! I threw a handful of kibble each into two pans and tried to go back to bed. Usually a snack does the trick but they were bouncing off the walls and I couldn't sleep anyway.

I decided to measure out a 1 liquid measure per dish and then the 1 cup of kibble. They ate like it was Thanksgiving. Ate then slept, nibbled throughout the day but the pans never did get empty. No one complained about being hungry either, except the dogs and they are like my old gutter-punk friends; Can always eat! Oh the kittens went for the fridge a couple of times without any real enthusiasm. They know the liver is in there but all day they were satisfied.

Oh I know now that I overfed them and knowing that I can adjust the amount I feed them accordingly to get them off kibble altogether.

I feel pretty good about that.

It is pretty sad when a person spends all of their energy hating another person. Do you even know who has the power when you are pouring all of your hate and venom, it isn't you that is for sure.

There are people on this site that I don't particularly like. Maybe we don't agree or maybe they have done something that caused me to lose respect or dislike them. Maybe they are just the online version of tacky trailer trash and I find the thought of association with them repugnant. But I try to see things in a more positive light. People can't always agree.

If I was to decide to rate someone low or take honor or whatever I wouldn't be doing it as some online cyberbully coward. I can respect anything a person says, even if I don't like it as long as they stand behind their convictions instead of hiding behind anonymity and extra profiles. I just can't respect people like that.

If you would like to purchase a compliment however that can be arranged. We just have to settle on a price.

How much is it worth to you to have some meaningless ass-kissing?

This is where necessity conflicts with sense of values.

Since before Christmas my dad has been apologizing for this years Christmas gift being small compared to last year. Last year he surprised me with $200. It was the first time in years that my kids had Christmas gifts from us. He visited us in June for 2 weeks too, which was great because he hadn't seen the kids since 2006 and I know they missed him so badly.

His health and well being are more important to me than money. I have asserted this to him over and over. He finally did send the Christmas card last week, or so he thinks. I don't think it was sent.

He relies heavily on my brother for transportation places and I think he gave the envelope to my brother and my brother conveniently "forgot". Between Thanksgiving and Christmas we had an argument and I think he is just petty enough to withhold the card and check which my father meant for my family.

This is where necessity comes into play. Again I say that the money is not important but today it sure would have helped. My range is broken and I have to wait until after the 20th to fix it. We are on slim(very slim)pickings around here until then. A banking discrepancy due to my husband forgetting the receipt for a couple of minor purchases when I did the books before our grocery trip very nearly tumbled(and still may)our carefully placed house of cards. When I tried to pay the power bill the card was declined, we were $25 short. We belong to an Electrical co-operative so payment arrangements have to be on the strictest emergency basis as they only allow for one payment rearrangement per year. We were able to pay using Paypal but it could end up costing us anywhere from $50 to $90 depending on when that goes through the bank.

Getting that card would have helped but we will suck it up and move on. Now I just need to find out for sure if my brother is really that petty as to withhold a card and a gift meant for my children from their grandfather. If that is the case I can't see putting up with him and his crap anymore for any reason.

I did talk to my father tonight. When I told him that I had not yet gotten his Christmas card he was very upset. He tried making excuses for my brothers mental state; that he is forgetful and the military is giving him 100% disability for injuries suffered while in Iraq but the dude works for Nike International Security. The fact is my fathers needs are being neglected by my brother because the injuries made him to think in the head to understand people and my father does not want to inconvenience him.

My dad suffers from a stress induced Dementia. In addition he has a neurological condition which makes him tremor badly and his equilibrium is way off. My father has had a cold since Thanksgiving and my brother cannot be bothered to say, hey dad lets go to the doctor. On top of which now the man has a sprained wrist and has not been to the doctor. He doesn't want to live in a home, he goes to the VA in Portland. He just needs help getting around but my brother cannot be bothered.

I think my dad knows that my brother decided the Christmas card to my family was not a high priority. I think I am done with that shit.

I'm hoping that your brother isn't that damn petty...like you, if he is, there is more reason to not even deal with him anymore, as bringing the pettiness down on the kids...a big no-no.

I joke around a lot in my journal, but like you, things aren't going so great on the financial/health front right now. So, when good things do happen, I appreciate them very much - as I know you do too.

(I just got info that I'll get food stamps for 3 months, and I'll get to go to a clinic in February regarding my stomach issues - for free! Shit -I found out today that I'm getting premium channels for free for 3 months - lol)!

I'm hoping that your lot improves as well. If I won big in the lottery, you'd get some money from me!

I spent a lot of time tonight talking to Morticia. My brother, sister and mother are petty attention grabbing and self-serving. My father is no saint but he cares genuinely about all of his kids and grands. This upset him pretty bad.

I am so glad you qualified for the food stamps, even three months. Make it count. I had them for 6 and I know that I could have done better with my shopping choices but it was just so nice being able to shop.

Now I will sit back and wait. I decided to attempt dry kibble because at least one of our darlings is not adjusting to the change. I knew this would be an ordeal considering my oven is down and I am using a table top roasting oven instead.

No sooner were the ingredients mixed together Miku started eating the batter right out of the bowl. Not to worry. There was nothing harmful if eaten raw so I went ahead and just scooped it for them.

It looked like finely mixed tuna salad. Now to wait and see what happens. Everyone seems to e going back to sleep. Maybe I will just put it into a container and store it in the fridge.

Honor is not about being right.

It is not about having the most points or the most hits.

Honor is about speaking your mind and standing behind your convictions. It means allowing others to speak up too even if their ideas do not match yours.

Honor is about letting others decide for themselves.

Delete anything you want. Block. Spit. Send hoards of mindless drones to make a meaningless gesture.

In the end it doesn't change a thing.

I sit here in front of the computer. I read the journals, the blogs, the forum posts and status updates. People who complain about life but will not make the sacrifices necessary to improve their circumstance.

Some people do not want to lose things. Imagine, staying trapped in a place you don't like with a person you can't stand because of STUFF.

Some people do not want to lose comfort and convenience. I say these things are relative. If you hate your job, hate your boss, hate your roommate, hate your house stop bitching and do something about it. Just shut the fuck up!

My life is my life. The moments between the time I was born and today are inconsequential. I have learned from them but they aren't who I am. My ability to rely on myself instead of others for approval and my resilience through adversity are a testament to my own survival. They are why I believe in free will and that no decision is a mistake or accident it is a choice.

There is no way it will.

Back home I had surplus of Venison. It was terribly freezer burned and no one else would eat it so my ex's brother just gave it to us. When I couldn't afford to buy the nutra nuggets(Fred Meyer sold them as store brand. The dogs ate lamb and rice, cat ate chicken and rice. They never had fleas or worms so I guess it was good stuff.)I just cooked up venison and mixed it with whatever else was going to seed or freezer burned and rice. Sometimes if I had it I threw in the old yogurt(plain), milk and sour cream. Nothing went to waste.

These guys will be getting marked down meats, poultry and fishes. Raw liver treats and frozen veggies until I start getting them out of my garden. Also be watching for marked down fruits and berries and dairy.

I have fed my cats a diet consisting of catfood, raw and cooked meat, veggies, some breads, pastas and even fruits since I was 13 or 14 when my Sealpoint Siamese decided she fancied pancakes and syrup. Knowing that wasn't good for her I started feeding her meats, chicken and fish. Occasional breakfasts of warm milk toast or warm milk with blackberries and her favorite dinner was meatless spaghetti. She refused any brand catfoods and she never had fleas or worms.

For the last few years I had strayed a bit but in the interests of our health, their health and needing more space in my kitchen...oh yeah. so making my own.

I wrote this into a forum post and liked it so much that I thought I would share.

It is actually difficult for me to qualify a near death experience. I believe that we live until we die and we don't die until we are supposed to. It doesn't mean the dying doesn't suck for the people left behind. It does mean that murder, disease, war and accidents or disasters are part of the natural order.

When someone is terminally ill I do not pray for recovery(I am not a Christian so actually I don't pray)instead I wish and hope that the people affected can have peace, comfort and understanding and that they will celebrate the life of the creature that has died. Praying for recovery if I did believe in the Christian God(I don't disbelieve in a higher power, I simply do not know it's name or it's will)would seem like a slight in the face of a parent. To me it would diminish the value of the gift of life.

An example of this would be to tell your father or mother that you need a car so they buy something practical and easy to maintain. You say thank you but all the while what you really wanted was something brand new. expensive and fancy. Instead of appreciating the well thought out and practical gift so many people dwell on the Benz and never see the ultimate value of what they have been given.

The Dick Van Dyke show was a 1960's situation comedy. It ran from 1961 to 1966. During the opening theme Dick Van dyke would walk across the room and "accidentally" kick an overstuffed footrest or an end table which caused either a mock injury or a tumble or both.

This morning my husband walked into the space heater and then in pain from that stumbled into and tripped over the vacuum.

I have decided to switch my animals from dry pet food to something healthier for them. I will be making their food myself. Of course I have been studying because I want to feed them well and I want them to be healthy.

Last night one of the articles that I read said not to feed kittens raw meat before 6 or 8 months. Our kittens are 5 weeks old, their mother has been in her own way trying to teach them how to hunt. Before cats were domesticated and in fact before fancy dried catfoods how do these experts suppose kittens grew to become adult cats? Hamburger Helper? Tomato soup?

tonight I gave the babies their first raw meat, I think they will live. It was only a taste.

Lasagna and chicken enchiladas; I kid you not. My animals have been eating veggies, fruits and meats for as long as I have had animals. This is just the first time I have ever tried to do away with store bought.

I have "Purr-fect recipes for a Healthy cat" saved in my bookmarks. My cats have always liked straight meat, casseroles or stews. They look at grated carrot with disdain but soak a whole baby carrot in beef broth for an hour and it goes down like spaghetti. One of them even ate okra(crazy stubborn creature).

When will people learn that when working in retail whether it be Pharmacy chain, convenience mart or supermarket that it is not worth their lives and safety to confront the person. These days we have surveillance, cell phones with video and insurance covers most losses to the store. We also have people filing frivolous lawsuits regarding injuries inflicted while they were being detained.

I worked for one company that told us not to resist but rather let it be because money and merchandise is insured and they would rather file a claim on stolen merchandise than deal with a job related injury or death. These job related injuries and deaths also drive the insurance rates up.

Now consider for a moment that in orientation you were instructed not to fight a robber or shop lifter and you do it anyway. That information was in a safe job practices booklet which you signed and dated and then every year employed with the company signed and dated again. You committed a safety infraction which got you injured or killed. Why should the company pay for that?

New Years hullaballoo over and done. About 10 after 12 last night our neighborhood is barraged by firetrucks. We looked outside and saw smoke billowing from down the street. It looked thick and dark. I called out to the closest neighbors to ask if it was them and they said it was the next house over maybe. After a couple of minutes all the trucks left.

I need to point out that my neighborhood is an anomaly. The equivalent really of a compound; about 10 houses surrounded on all sides by pastures and farmland. We do not have fire hydrants so every fire call brings in tank trucks and on a night like New Years Eve would roust no less than three fire departments.

After the trucks left my son went for a stroll to see what was up. Every neighbor within the 8th mile stretch had a bonfire! One of them was set far back from the road and just looked like the trees were on fire. So here apparently the New Year started with a false alarm.
