It's really kinda funny. Feels like karma is finally catching up.
Aw, did I hurt your little feelings by saying you should set realistic expectations if you're trying to break into a field that is so hugely over saturated right now? Fucking hell, reality is going to bite you in the ass, my dude.
We've all played Elden Ring, we can all take on "high powered bosses" in video games on our own. Fuck, Cutexbutxpsycho goes totally into her experiences with the Souls games. It doesn't take a lot to be good at video games. It does take a hell of a lot to be good and to make any sort of living off of it. That's just a fact. The likelihood of some nobody breaking out and becoming huge on YouTube is so incredibly slim these days. I assure you, you won't be the next Pewdiepie.
If you are trying to break into the video game space, streaming is the way to go. So long as you're likable on stream, you can build a pretty solid following. You probably still won't become huge enough to make it a full-time job, but I'm sure if you work hard at it a d steadily build your community, you can make some money off it at some point.
I've been playing a lot of Disney's Dreamlight Valley since its release on Tuesday. It's very much like Animal Crossing, you get a place, you do chores, you make friends with the villagers, but, Disney themed. Which is far more appealing to me than Animal Crossing ever was. The one downside that AC has that Dreamlight Valley does not, is the ability to invite people to your island, essentially making it a co-op, game. Dreamlight Valley is very much a single player game, which is fine, but I have friends who play that I would love to do things in game with.
But yeah, I'm really enjoying it. It's a game tailor made for me, it feels. And it's really helped me unwind after long days at work. I tend to just get lost in things and next thing I know, I've been playing for five hours. It's way too easy to lose track of time. Though, the way I've been playing it over this weekend, in an attempt to make as much money as possible to upgrade all the things I can, I've really focused in on gardening. There are certain crops you can plant and make hella bank on. I simply rotate between two crops, 99 at a time, and make around 28k.so,its a pretty good chunk of change for very little work. It just gets super repetitive after a few times. But, worth it.
So, that's been where all my free time has gone, well, when I'm not spending those two hours with Logan before bed watching stuff. I'm having fun.

The game is addictive
Dude, for real. I though ACNH was bad when I got into it, but I'm far more into Dreamlight Valley.
We're in September, which means the rest of the year will fly by with birthdays and holidays. It'll be a year come December, and things, though not perfect, are pretty darn great.
Rings of Power...
I hate it. I don't understand where all the money went, because it wasn't in the costume budget or the sets, really. The most worthy set pieces and costumes were those of the Dwarves. Everything else just looked off to me. The elves are short and most of the actors just look funny and off. It's not... It's not Middle Earth. These aren't the characters I love, the characters I put so much time into learning as if they were friends. Galadriel doesn't feel like Galadriel, Elrond doesn't feel like Elrond.
I don't know. I, just, I can't get behind it. I'm sure if you're not an avid Tolkien fanatic, you'll find some enjoyment in it. It's setting up a pretty epic fantasy story, I think. But it's just... These aren't the characters I know. There's too much that I notice and dislike.

I don't like it either, it wasn't even close to being accurate from a Tolkien point of view.... And thee is nothing showing where the budget was spent.. It wasn't for the costumes.
I haven't seen any of it yet, but from the opinions and reviews from others that I have seen the general consensus is it's bad. I'm not sure if I want to give it a shot or not and ruin the way I feel about it.

Since people are idiots, no, this has nothing to do with anyone on VR.
