It's an awesome feeling when you find some amazing people who are worth talking to around here. It makes me smile because I realize, sometimes, this place isn't half as bad as I make it out to be. Sometimes there are some truly fascinating people, you just have to find them.
Everyone's up in arms about the Christian dude again. It's really too funny. I stand by what I said some entries down. Sometimes you so called "open minded" individuals need to take a look at yourselves, you're not all that open minded at all.
Yes, the actions of spamming and what not are a violation, but damn, no need to get your panties in a wad over some gospel stuff. The block button is there for a reason. You should really utilize that feature. :]

I messaged them first but I never get a reply. It's nothing bad at all that I send. o: I wonder what's up with that. I know it's spam but damn, guess they don't want to listen to my nonsense as well. :P
I don't know if I'll actually change my avatar, but I loved the idea behind the "Who on VR would you be for a day?" thing LKD set up for today.
It is no surprise, I had to pick Imagesinwords. She's been someone I've admired since I first joined this site so many years ago. And, while I may not be close like so many others are, she's still someone I look up to. She made VR really feel like home for me. She allowed me to take part in House Eternal when she ran it, and she welcomed me into her Coven, Chateau Orleans where I got to be one of her ACM's. She even welcomed one of my alternate accounts into her Mentorship, giving me the title of AMM, even though I don't deserve it. She is someone who has always been there to help me when I needed it, and to offer me friendly advice.
She's intelligent, witty, and caring. She's always there when you need her. I can't think of one person I admire around here more than her. She puts so much into this site, and while many don't appreciate the work she does, a lot of us do. Vampire Rave wouldn't be what it is without her around.
I admit, I am not as eloquent as others have been, and I'm sure will be, when it comes to this, but there's not much I can say about Images that others haven't already said. She's an amazing woman, simple as that. And we're lucky to have her. :]
People have been constantly asking where I got my avatar from. The pelvic thrusting, it entrances you.. Haha, no, not really. Anyway, it's from World Order, their song Boy Meets Girl. It is Japanese epicness. Just watch and see how right I am. :]
I don't know what it is about the holidays, but I'm always so tired. Everyone says it's just the turkey, but it's not. I'm always like this on these days. Thanksgiving, Easter, Christmas, anytime I go out to spend time with family, I always feel so drained. I have such a good time with my family, but I'm always tired after just a few hours. I think I knocked out four times today, little naps here and there, and all of them before I had anything to eat. There's just something about it that screws me up.
But, I had a nice Thanksgiving. Lots of family time, a great dinner, and tons of arguing over Twilight with my aunt Betty and sister-in-law. There's just no reasoning with a Twilight fan, they don't listen to logic. It was a lost battle even before it began. But, it was all fun. I'm looking forward to Christmas coming up.
There are days when I just have way too much fun with the whole animated avatar thing...
Is it bad that I saw this and I couldn't stop laughing? What the hell does that say about me?
Someone called me a Barbie girl. It really couldn't be farther from the truth. I guess people see those of us from Southern California in only one light due to what's portrayed in the media. I am not what you'll see in a movie or a tv show that takes place here. I am not skinny, I am not tall or blonde or "perfect", I don't spend all my time at the beach (I don't even live close to the beach, the closest is an hour away), I don't wear designer clothes or have huge sunglasses or a stupid little dog carried around in a purse. I would never want to be that kind of person. You encounter them all the time if you've spent any time in Los Angeles, Hollywood or Pasadena. It's not a real fun experiance. Yes, I live in Southern California, yes, I grew up in a Los Angeles subburb, you saw the city skyline shilouetted in the sunset just about everywhere you went in the city I grew up, but, I am not rich, I am not privilaged, and now I don't even live within LA county limits. So, no, I am not a "Barbie" girl, never have been, never will be.
People really annoy me sometimes. You'd think it was the user who was spouting the "Jesus loves you" stuff, but, no, it's not. It's everyone else. The prejudices one sees around here is really quite disgusting. You think you're all so open minded but, no, you're not. You're just as close minded as those who you claim to dislike so much due to the fact that they are close minded. If you don't agree with what a member says, block said member. It does not mean that you need to go around and post nasty comments in their journals, or leave nasty comments on their profile. If someone wants to preach, all the power to them. It's just a stamp. Block it if you don't agree with it. There's no need to act the way some of you are acting.
I don't believe in what said member says, but that doesn't mean I'm going to go out of my way and be rude just because I don't believe in it. I would hope the rest of you would be as mature, but, I think that's hoping for too much around here.
COMMENTS
I agree Immy!
Don't stoop to their level, they will just beat you with experience.
I applaud your standing up for another to write whatever they want in their journal.
It's feeling like an Ouran High School Host Club kind of night. I know, I know, it's as far as one can get from all the yaoi I've been obsessed with lately, but hell, sometimes you need a break and just need a cute, romantic story. Or.. it could just be that I need my Hitachiin twins/Tamaki fix.. Ouran and my pocky. I am set.
COMMENTS
They have a host club on IMVU... They have a room just for that and a few people have avatars they made to look up just like the characters and you can spend a day with your favorite one. heh.... Was never much into it. Just stumbled across it one day looking for a chat to go into when I was bored out my mind.
Cute and romantic?
Fruits Basket has the best from both worlds. :)
I have been drawn into the National Geographic Channel's show, Knights of Mayhem. I love everything about the medieval period, jousting is one of the huge aspects I love. When I go to the Ren Faire every year, I always, always have to watch the jousting competitions. I think it's the brutality of it. The lances crashing into a fully armored human body. The main guy on the show, Charlie, wants to bring jousting to the mainstream, make it a real sport. And, I love that idea. Honestly, jousting is an amazing sport, the amount of training and concentration it takes to hit someone with a piece of wood is incredible. You can seriously hurt yourself doing it, regardless if you are done up in armor or not. So yeah, I am loving this show.
Guess who got The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Well, my brother did. But, guess who's been playing it pretty much nonstop this entire weekend. Yeah, I totally hijacked it and his XBox. Nick showed it to me last week after we saw Immortals together (which was.. Interesting). I got to play it on his computer for about two and a half hours and I simply fell in love. Honestly, I have never been a fan of the Elder Scrolls games. I played Oblivion and it was just meh. But Skyrim pulled me in and will not leave me alone. I don't want to do anything like eat, or sleep, or any of that nonsense anymore. I just want to play Skyrim. Forever. And ever. And ever, and ever and ever. Or.. Until I hit 50.. But yeah. The game is absolutly amazing. The design is beautiful and there is so much to do. So fucking much to do. You should buy it and play it if you haven't already. Dragons and vampires and werewolves and big fucking dragons. I love this game. So, if I suddenly go MIA, you can just assume I am playing Skyrim. DRAGONS!
I think I may be getting sick. I've had a headache all day, my nose is stuffy and my throat is starting to bother me. I just want to sleep, but no, that's not allowed since my mother is home. All day, every day until Monday. Ugh.. I think I may just go chug some Nyquil and call it a night.
I've noticed that people really tend to misuse the cams late at night/early in the morning, when there's no one around to do anythings about it. Empty cams blaring crappy music for hours on end? It's such a waste. If you don't want to pay attention to your cam, turn the damn thing off. Stop using it for free time so you can level up.
COMMENTS
If the music is decent I would probably listen to it while I did housework or something. I guess I would be ignoring the cam too.
Sometimes I just really wish my look was androgynous. That and that I didn't look like a 14-18 year old.
COMMENTS
Bah. I think you're beautiful. ^^
Black eyeliner and bangs might help with the Androgyny and possibly the age thing.
I needed a new stamp. I got sick of the old one, it was too nice.
Old stamp:

Huh. I approve. :D
*claps* Good one and very, very true.
I've been watching/reading Gravitation again.. and every time I hear this song in the anime I just have to stop and listen to it in full.
The sunset is beautiful. It's almost like the sky is on fire with the vibrant shades of orange and red and pink. All against the deep blue sky, the moon bright and shining. There are times when you can't deny that the world is a beautiful place..
My chicken cordon bleu was a hit. I'll have to make it again sometime.
Now, it feels like an Ergo Proxy kind of night. I shall go watch it.
I felt domestic today, so I decided I'd make dinner for the family. But, I can't decide on something simple. I figured I'd make chicken cordon bleu. But, we didn't have any boneless, skinless chicken breasts. We had half breasts with the ribs. I had to bone that on top of everything else. But, I managed to to it, having never done it before. It's pretty freaking easy to do, actually. I am going to make on damn good little house wife someday. I know I never really got any complaints from Brannan when we were together. It was only the fact that I didn't talk to him, but that's something else.
So yeah, I'm hoping everything turns out good. It's still in the over right now. I've never made anything like this, so well, I hope it doesn't turn out to be utter crap. We'll see..

I think it's the romantic in me that demands happy endings. Even when I know things never always work out as planned. But, it's become something of a requirement when I watch anime or read manga. I just love the stories where everyone lives happily ever after and all that nonsense. I watched all of Paradise Kiss tonight (this morning) and the ending just made me cry. I really wanted "Caroline" and George to end up together at the end, even though that was pretty much impossible for both of them. I have to stop watching these kinds of anime. I should stick to my BL where the boys always wind up together and happy. I think I need to go watch some Sekaiichi Hatsukoi or Junjou Romantica now to make myself feel better.
Haha, juggalos are officially classified as a gang now by the FBI.
A bunch of morons who go around wearing clown makeup.. well, I guess it would be funny if you know, they didn't actually go out and commit violent crimes.
COMMENTS
It's about time.
There was stuff on the news last year about ICP (pretty sure it was them) wanting to come to Australia anddd the people on the news said all they'd bring was violence and petty crime.
Heh.
not all them do just cause a handful are morons an have done stupid shit it gives the rest a bad name its like sayin all whites are slave owners or all blacks are lazy an live off the governemnt or all asians are at math just cause a few are doesnt make the rest of them fall under that stero type
...*Collapses on the ground laughing hysterically*
About damn time.
You know, if I wrote fan fiction, or really read fan fiction, or did much of anything with fan fiction, I'd totally ship Sirius and Remus. 'Cause, dammit, every good story needs a little yaoi in it to shake things up. And, honestly, they would have made the perfect couple when they were both younger.
I just have to say.. It's kind of creepy to get random messages from some random petson saying something along the lines of "I've seen you somewhere before." And then to have them mean like they have literally seen you before, in person. To me it just screams stalker. I know it's not what they intended, but shit like that just weirds me out. I guess I have one of those faces that reminds people of someone else or something. Because the alternative gives me the willies.
I've been in a Neil Gaiman kind of mood lately. I've read all the books I own of his, which is all of them save for the Sandman collection. Though, I have the two side story books. And, I've been listening to the Where's Neil When You Need Him compilation CD I got years ago. I have been gravitating to songs about American Gods. Well, there are only two on the CD, but I've been listening to them pretty much exclusively. The first, which is the one I think I love most is by ThouShaltNot, When Everyone Forgets. And the second is by Thea Gilmor, Even Gods Do. I've always been attracted to American Gods, and while it was not the first book I read by Gaiman, it is the one I love most out of them all. There's just something about the story that I can never get enough of. And, Shadow is like the most awesome character ever. I'm even considering having someone bring back Smoke and Mirrors so I can get it all out.
COMMENTS
I'm a huge fan, too! Did you read "Good Omens" where he collaborated with Terri Pratchett?
Good Omens is another of my favorites. It was actually the first book I read by both Pratchett and Gaiman. I remember finishing it in like a day because I couldn't put it down. All the little footnotes constantly made me giggle.
I always recommend Good Omens and American Gods to people. Neil Gaiman is my favourite author by far.
Reworked the main profile image again. I like this one best.
Me and Liz are going to make some sugar skulls tomorrow, for Día de los Muertos. And, we're planning on visiting my great-grandmother's grave, as well as David's. She never knew David, but it means a lot that she'd go out of her way to take me to his grave site. Then after, we're going to have a little get together with the family. Should be fun. It's the one day I really embrace my Mexican heritage.
It's safe to say I am a huge fan of the Brothers Grimm fairy tales. Well, most fairy tales in general. Like most children in my age group, I grew up on Disney films like The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast. Of course, I also grew up on the original stories, not the Disney versions, thanks to my mother. So, today, when I noticed that for some reason SyFy was playing NBC's new show, Grimm, I just had to watch it. And, I am hooked. I am such an enthusiest for fairy tales to be integrated into modern day society. So, Grimm, and shows like it just captivate me. You get the original story, but you get it in a way that we'd find relevant today. I just love that. So, now I think I must check out ABC's new show, Once Upon A Time. The only thing about that one is that it just reminds me of The 10th Kingdom. And, that's not really a bad thing at all, since I loved that miniseries. I just get that same kind of vibe from the commercials.
This also inspires me to work on that series of images I wanted to do some time back. A re-invisioning of some of my favorite fairy tales. I did that Red Riding Hood one earlier this year, which is what started it. But, I just never got around to creating them. Although, now I am dead set on doing at least a few new images. So, we'll see how that pans out.
I needed a change, so I messed around with a new main profile image and avatar. The avatar image is kind of old, but the new profile image was taken Saturday before I went to that club. It's a little more on the colorful side, not my shades of blue that I usually do. But, meh, it's decent enough I suppose.
