Now, I'm not saying COVID-19 is a good thing, but this is what traffic has been like for me this week. It's nice. Rush hour in Southern California never looks like this. No time on Southern California freeways is like this. So, I'm enjoying it.

Oh man, the last two days I've been in and around Downtown LA for work. What would normally be a two and a half to three hour drive home, I'm making it in an hour and a half. Places are closing down, there's a lot of standing outside of doors waiting for people to take the paperwork or get me the records needed. Hospitals have resorted to checking temperatures of anyone coming in, most of them shutting down to visitors all together, so there's more waiting for people from medical records to come get the paperwork. I'm not all that scared, if places shit down and I can't do my job, I'm going to just work in the office so I get my full hours each week. I wouldn't mind working in the office for a while.

I'm still feeling like shit, but I haven't been running a fever. I have the worst headache, though. So, you know, I'm surviving. I need to keep going to work, wearing my mask and my gloves. It's all just a waiting game at this point in regards to if they will continue working in the field or put me into the office.

Downtown here is almost nonexistent with the normal work people. Restaurants are closed and theaters. Stores are pretty much closed. My pharmacy is the only thing on the block radius that is open because we have no choice. Totally wierd not seeing traffic or the regular peeps going to and from work.

Pretty sure I have a cold. Ugh. Just what I need right now when things are going the way they are. I don't have a fever, so it's not COVID-19, but I do have congestion and coughing, which made work yesterday super fun. Try coughing in an elevator or waiting room of a hospital or clinic and see if you don't get death glares and people actively moving away from you. Even with a mask on. I feel like shit, but I can't miss work. And, it's okay. I wear gloves when handing over paperwork and such now, as per my company's insistence, same with the mask. So, I won't get other people sick, just me. Just me feeling like shit here. I want to go back to bed...

When all this COVID-19 stuff dies down a bit I'm going to get my next tattoos. Because I have been a lifelong fan of the Star Wars franchise, it's about time I get that put on my skin. On one wrist I'm going to get the Rebel Alliance symbol as well as a blue lightsaber done, and on the other, since I'm Empire for life, I'm going to get the Galactic Empire's symbol with a red lightsaber. Maybe in the style of Kylo Ren's. It's something I've wanted to do for a long while, but I now have a good artist I can go to for this.

In the midst of everything, I finally opened the mask I bought from Morrigon. I got it a while ago and I was just too busy to get to it so I stashed it away to open later. Sweet jebus you guys, her masks are breathtaking in person! My pictures don't do it justice, the way the blue shifts and the colors of the little jewels and feathers. If you can afford one, I highly recommend her stuff. Totally worth every single penny. It's going up on my wall as soon as I can find a box to put it in so it doesn't get ruined.

Shit is crazy out there. There are long lines to get into grocery stores, there is no toilet paper or hand sanitizer to be found anywhere. If you look online, everything is out of stock. It's crazy. Absolutely crazy. This panic buying is really fucking everything up.

It's ridiculous. I mean, I get it, we're all worried. But Jesus, buying all these essential things in bulk because maybe something will happen, is crazy. Stockpiling toilet paper, hand sanitizer, cleaning products, it takes away from people who actually need these things. Older individuals who are more susceptible to getting sick, you're taking away from them. I need hand sanitizer because I'm in and out of hospitals and clinics for my job, and I can't stop to wash my hands at every stop. So, having hand sanitizer in my car is a necessity and now I can't find any anywhere.

Had to run to Autozone a few streets over to grab an oil filter for the truck and had Spotify playing. Ads broke in and I got my first taste of one that is using the outbreak to push gear, this one was about laptops and how to best work from home - all while they had sniffing and sneezing and coughing soundbytes firing off in the background.
