Things that make me happy on a cold day... steaming hot tamales, scalding hot chocolate, a warm blanket, and a kitty who cuddles up next to you under said blanket. Ishtar, my own fuzzy little space heater.
I know what Slain got me for Christmas! And it's awesome of him. The first book in The Sandman series, Preludes & Nocturnes. He's freaking amazing! Like, seriously, ah-may-zing.
So, I finally got to watch the Doctor Who Christmas special. For starters, I loved the new opening and music. I also love the new look for Sexy, the TARDIS. Now, as far as the new companion... I was not impressed. Especially when she kissed the Doctor. I wonder what River would think. I would have to see more of her to see how I like her. But right now, she feels like she's going to be another Martha Jones. I absolutely hated Martha after three episodes. I do love how hey tied her into the first episode. The same person dying twice. But, as I said, I will have to see more to get a real grasp of her. Though as it stands right now, I am not feeling her. I just miss Amy and Rory.
I just want to wish you all a merry Christmas. And to my Matthew, a happy 26th birthday! I love my Cheshire.

Merry Christmas hon.
Merry Christmas!
Stupid internet! I didn't even see this until now! Gah!
I appreciate it though, my Alice. Love you more.
The gifts are wrapped and everything is prepped for tomorrow. All we have to do is pile everything in the car and head off to my grandmother's house. I think I am going to pop some Ibuprofen and head off to bed. I am beat and my back is really killing me tonight. Or, maybe I will pop on A Christmas Story, or The Muppets Christmas Carol. Decisions, decisions.
Edit: The Muppets won out. It's tradition.
Never again am I going out shopping this close to Christmas. Goodness, was it a mess out there. Started at six thirty this evening, didn't get done until eleven. And we only went to four stores. Never again. When I have kids, I am buying their presents in July. They won't be allowed to change their minds.

Try working a mall toy store this time of year, I was 20 minutes late to work yesterday just trying to find parking haha.
I got bored. So, I created a new Crest for Unnamable. I don't know if it'll be used, though. I'm still on the fence about it.
Oh, yeah! Here are some of the background variations I did. The mass of tentacles in the corner of two of them make me smile. Oh, the Elder Gods be lurking in the deep!
Bam! Pow! Wham!

R'lyeh sure is pretty this time of year. Good work!
*claps his tentacles together*
I Hobbit-ized my phone. New background, notification and ring tones. I love it. I used to have it all Doctor Whoed, but I felt it was time for a bit of a change. My background is the map from my copy of The Hobbit, namely The Lonely Mountain part of it. And my notification is the first line from "Misty Mountains" and my ringtone is the chorus from "The Lonely Mountain" because, anvils! I love it. Can you tell I loved the film? Because I really, really did. It's The Hobbit movie I have been waiting for all my life.
I was watching BBC America and they had a trailer for the Doctor Who Christmas Special. I wasn't really paying much attention, as I've seen the trailers and such back in like, November... But, I hear one line said by one of the characters. "Winter is coming." And all I think of is A Song of Ice and Fire and the poor, poor Starks and what it would be like if the Doctor managed to find his way in that universe. Two fandoms melded in my mind right then, and it was amazing.
I got my first Christmas card today, from the lovely Images. And, it came with tea! I know what I'm drinking tonight!
I'm sorry, I thought we were all adults here. Silly of me to expect you to act like such. My mistake. It shall not happen again.
Take insomnia, add a smartphone with tons of apps, a connection to the WiFi, and amazing songs downloaded on it, and you have the perfect recipe for no sleep. Which explains why I am here at half past four in the morning.
This has to be my new all time favorite song. I mean, everything about it is just so awesome. And, it has anvils! All songs need anvils. Just sayin'. It's from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. It plays during the credits. I absolutely adore it. What really makes me sad, though, is that though they did the full song for "Blunt the Knives", they didn't for the "Misty Mountains". And that is the one I would have loved to hear all of. I mean, they do two verses, but it's just not enough! The actors do an amazing job with putting it to music, so it's such a shame it's so short. Maybe there will be a longer version in the Extended version of the movie. If they do an extended version like they did with Lord of the Rings, that is.

I adore them as well! I can't stop listening to them :)
We will be getting extra footage on the DVD. Peter Jackson said we will get at least 25 extra minutes!
Sent out my cards today. So, people should be getting them by this weekend, at the latest. At least, that's what I am hoping. They all went to the East Coast, so yeah. I need some friends who live on this side of the country.
Hey, if you want to have your fun, all the power to you. But I will have mine as well. Your block really doesn't do much damage. And hell, I am sure I can put a dent in you negatives. Let the fun commence!
You'll do me one better and give me a ten? How generous. Will you then go and rip off more of my writing for your shitty little Coven? You're a joke. And, I think the whole situation is just beyond your comprehension if you can't understand why I would possibly be pissed off with you.
You know what always bothers me about doomsday prophecies? What time zone do they go by? Is it the standard, Greenwich Mean, or Pacific, or what? Like, the nonsense on the twenty-first. It's going to be the twenty-first five hours (at least) in say, England, before the US. So, when exactly will the world end? I mean, aside from the fact that such prophecies are bullshit, I can't follow behind because they never give me a set time. Work on that, prophets, then we can talk about buying into it.
Mon dieu! It's like watching a bunch of children argue and bicker. What with the imaginitive (though not really) name calling and whatnot. People are getting borring. Things used to be so entertaining. Now it's just low rates and blocks and people calling each other names, like we're all five and on the school playground.
My head hurts, so I am going back to bed. Keep doing what you do best, kiddos.
I have been watching a lot of the show, Firefly, lately. I have also put on the movie continuation of the show, Serenity, a number of times in the last few weeks. I have always loved the show since I saw it on Fox all those years ago. And, I just really miss it. What I would literally give in order to see some new episodes. It kind of makes me wonder why Fox never decided to pick it up again, or why another station never did. It would fit right in on SyFy. I mean, Fox has broght back Family Guy time and time again, and that show was old and tired a year after it aired. Hell, they still air new episodes of the Simpsons. That show is nearly as old as I am. What can they possibly do now? But Firefly had so much potential. Think about the kinds of plot lines they could develop coming off of the events that took place in Serenity. Considering what came to light at the end of the movie, they could do so mch with it. And yet, it remains just 14 episodes of awesome.

It needs to be left alone at this point. It's amazing, and should stay as is. Agreed there are so many unanswered questions. Shepards back story is intensely interesting. My theory is he was an ex Alliance assassin trying to redeem him self through god.
At any rate. Amazing show. I watch it through nearly once every 3mths.
There was a huge uproar in its canceling. If it came back, it would be a lengthy series. The fans would be sure of it.
I loved that show. Team Jane all the way! :)
VampireWitch posted a trailer for Catfish: The TV Show in her journal earlier, and since then I have watched all four episodes that were available. I seriously loved the documentary, Catfish, which is where the idea for the show came about.
If you're unfamiliar with the movie, it was about a photographer from New York, Yaniv "Nev" Schulman, who met and fell in love with a young lady he met through Facebook. When he finally forced a meeting between them after some time of doing the online thing, he found out she wasn't who she said she was. The woman he thought he was having a relationship, Megan, turned out to be Angela, a 40-something-year-old housewife with four kids (if I recall correctly).
Anyway, Nev now has a show on MTV where he goes and meets other people who are in online relationships, but have yet to meet the other person for whatever reason. I can say, majority of the time the person is never who they say they are. And it's so sad. But, it just really makes you think about things.
Being in an online relationship offers up a lot of issues and hurdles you are forced to work through and overcome. But, if you lie about who you are, what is the point? I've had personal experiences with such things. People lying, playing a part, pretending to be someone else. And, it hurts when you find out the truth. It hurts a whole lot. This show, the movie, it's a cautionary tale. Don't be the fool. If you're in an online relationship, make sure you talk on Skype, or if you can't, make sure you get pictures of the person holding up a sign with your name or something. And, make sure you meet them in person. Talking on the phone and non-personal photos can be faked. You never, ever know who's on the other end until you see their face. And you'll never truly know the other person until you meet them in reality.
So, yeah, I highly recommend you watch the show, or the film, or both.

I've seen the movie and I watch the show every week I love it
I haven't seen the movie, just the show. :) And yes, I think everyone should watch this and learn about online bullies and how to react to them before they get online. If I had a child- they would learn, watch, read before I let them online.
I'm totally going to admit this here. I am a huge fan of well done children's movies. And when I say well done, I mean that. The Disney movies I grew up with, for example. The animated films like The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and so on. So, I do like to watch the ones that catch my interest, even now. Tonight I watched The Rise of the Guardians. And I loved it. It was cute, and the cast of voice actors was awesome. Oh, Jude Law, I could listen to you talk forever and never tire of your voice.... Erm, yeah. Anyway, I really enjoyed the film. It had a cute message and as I said, the voice acting was great. Makes me wish I was a kid again and could look at the world with all the innocence and whimsy they possess.
Oh! I also saw Wreck-It Ralph which was one I had been really looking forward to since I heard they were putting it into production. That one was absolutely adorable as well. But, that's really to be expected of Disney. John C. Reilly and Jane Lynch were awesome.
You know, I find this sad. I was on cam for a bit last night and an anon came in. Polite, civil, asked me to destroy a member's Coven since one of my accounts is an ACM in it. Of course I said no. I don't understand why you would ever ask someone to do that. I would be devistated if anyone attempted to pull that with Unnamable. The thing is, I can undersand if you don't like a person for whatever reason you can think up. That's well within your rights as a human being. Hate everyone if you so desire. But, if you dislike this person so much, why go out of your way to associate with them? Why devote so much of your time writing snide comments about them, attempt to destroy their Coven? Don't you have better things to do? I live by the thought that if you don't like someone, don't asociate with them, don't waste time thinking of them or devoting anything to them. It saves me a lot of unneeded stress. Of course, not everyone believes that, I guess.

Kudos, Honey.
All you can do is smile and let them continue to allow their imaginary enemies to squat in their skulls.
You know, I am really not surprised by this. Given the situation, it's only fitting.
