The Preparation Of Holy Water

The Altar should be provided with:

a lighted candle (white)(for fire)

a rose (also white)(for air)

a cup of rain water (this will become the holy water)

a plate of salt (for earth)

Incense and burner (the incense should be frankincense or sandalwood, not a fruit or mix)(let it burn for a while before starting the ceremony so you have a supply of ash)(for spirit)

Face towards the North, standing to the South of the altar. Extend the right hand, palm downwards, over the salt, and repeat the following prayer:

May Wisdom abide in this salt and may it preserve my mind and body from all corruption. May all phantoms depart from it so that it may become a heavenly salt, salt of Earth and Earth of salt. May it feed the threshing ox and strengthen my hope with the horns of the Winged Bull! So mote it be.

Extend your hand over the ash, palm downwards as before and say:

May this ash return unto the fount of Living Water; may it become a fertile Earth; may it bring forth the Tree of Life.

Moving to the eastern side of the altar but facing towards the West, add the salt and the ash to the water in the cup and recite:

In the salt of eternal wisdom Mother be Thou Adored, in the water of preparation Mother be Thou Adored, in the ash whence the new Earth springeth Mother be Thou Adored, be all things accomplished unto the age of Ages. So mote it be!

Notes: This is a good first ritual because it requires no special ritual items and in fact Holy Water is necessary to consecrate the dagger, pentacle, chalice and wand, so of necessity must come first. I have also found it safe to perform this ritual with no special

wards or invocations.



Candle dressing

It is important to dress your candle before use. The most basic way to do so is to rub it with blessed or anointing oil. Start at the ends and rub toward center for spells dealing with gain or increase. Start with the center and rub out for both ends if the candle will be used in destructive/elimination spells. Do not rub up and down, rub only in the specific direction.

SABBAT OIL #1 3 parts Patchouly 2 parts Musk 1 part Carnation Wear to the Sabbats to promote communion with the deities.





SABBAT OIL #2 2 parts Frankincense 1 part Myrrh 1 part Carnation 1 part Allspice Use as the above formula.

1/2 teaspoon dried yarrow 1/2 teaspoon dried sweet basil

1 teaspoon powdered myrrh 3 drops rose oil

3 drops lavender oil 1/2 cup olive oil





PROTECTION OIL

To make a personal protection oil blend together the oils of rosemary, rose geranium, and

cypress. This oil is also used to anoint candles and is added to pro

tective cleansing baths.





FULL MOON OIL

13 drops of sandalwood essential oil 9 drops of vanilla essential oil or extract

3 drops of jasmine essential oil 1 drop of rose essential oil

Mix prior to a full moon. Charge in a clear container or vial in the light of the full moon.

Use to anoint candles or yourself for full moon rituals or just when you feel like you need

the moons energy.





PROTECTION OIL

Protection Oils are used to anoint any manner of objects in order to

enhance the purity of spiritual vibrations. This 1 is best made on The Dark of the Moon.

* 1 dram-sized bottle * 1/2 dram Sweet Almond Oil * 3 drops Amber Oil

* 1 drop Jasmine Oil * 7 drops Dark Musk Oil (Plain Musk may be substituted)

* 5 drops Rue Oil * 3 small pieces Dragon's Blood Resin * 1 pinch coarse Sea Salt

Add the ingredients and shake, to mix well, after each addition



PROTECTION OIL

1 T of any base carrier oil 4 drops primrose, cinnamon or sage oil

4 drops lavender or rose 2 drops sandalwood oil



PROTECTION OIL

* 1 dram Patchouli Oil * 1 dram each of Frankincense Oil & Myrrh Oil

* 1 tsp. broken pieces of Mandrake Root * 3 heaping tsp. coarse Sea Salt

Simmer over a low-heat in an enamel pan. Let cool. Pour into small bottles and charge





EMPLOYMENT POTION

One part sandalwood oil One part patchouli oil One part clove bud oil

One part frankincense oil One part nutmeg oil





SACRED OAK OIL

Broken-up Oak Leaves Grape Oil (or Sunflower Oil)

1 pinch of Sea Salt 1 Acorn

Blend ingredients and simmer on low heat in an enamel pan.

Remove from burner and let cool.

Place it in a small bottle or bowl that will only be used to charge and anoint items such

as candles in your Magick Circle.

To charge the oil itself, bring it into your Magic Circle or sacred space.





DRAGON'S MIST OIL

1 sprig broom, cut fine 1 piece Irish Moss, cut fine

2 pinches Vervain 1/2 teaspoon Sea Salt 1 dram Heather Oil

1 dram Oak Moss Oil 3 drams Witch Hazel Oil 1 dram Pine Oil

Warm over a low heat in a saucepan. Let cool. Pour into jars with a tight fitting lid.





ALTAR OIL 4 parts Frankincense 3 parts Myrrh 1 part Galangal 1 part Vervain 1 part Lavender Anoint thealtar withthis oilat regularintervals topurify and empower it.



ALTAR OIL

4 drops Frankincense

2 drops Myrrh

1 drop Cedar

Anoint the altar with this oil at regular intervals, calling your deity/ies to watch over it.











GODDESS OIL 3 parts Rose 2 parts Gardenia 1 part Lemon 1 part Lotus 1 part Ambergris Wear to honor the Goddess during rituals.





HORNED GOD OIL 2 parts Frankincense 2 parts Cinnamon 1 part Bay 1 part rosemary 1 part Musk Wear to honor the Horned God during rituals.







HEALING OIL

In 1/2 oz of base oil (jojoba, almond, grapeseed, etc.)

5 drops Lavender oil 5 drops Camphor oil 5 drops Eucalyptus oil

5 drops Orange oil 3 drops Rosemary oil 2 drops Pine oil 4 drops Sandalwood oil





FLYING OINTMENT

1/2 Cup shortening, 3 drops dragon's blood, 3 Tbsp. mugwort- Melt shortening over low heat.

This is your base. Add mugwort and dragon's blood to base.

Visualize your intent while stirring. Steep for 9 minutes. Strain into glass jar.





FLYING OINTMENT

Damiana, Hemlock, celery seed, juniper berries, kava kava root, and white oak bark.

You can burn these ingredients as an incense, or use bees wax and oils

and "cook" it up into an ointment. Apply it to pulse points (wrists, neck and ankles)







EARTH OIL (Elemental)

•4 drops Patchouly

•4 drops Cypress

Wear to invoke the powers of the Earth to bring money, prosperity, abundance, stability & foundation.



FIRE OIL (elemental)

•3 drops Ginger

•2 drops Rosemary

•1 drop Clove

•1 drop Petitgrain

Wear to invoke the powers of Fire, such as energy, courage, strength, love, passion & so on.



AIR OIL (elemental)

5 drops Lavender

3 drops Sandalwood

1 drop Neroli

Wear to invoke the powers of Air & to promote clear thinking, for travel spells 7 to overcome addictions.
