Mommy wants to see your sweet, little face and I want my feet back to a size other than "Barney Rubble". :p
Week 37 update: We are still at 2cm dilated but, 90-95% effaced. The docs are doing some further testing for pre-eclampsia as my swelling is getting worse. We'll know by Friday if we need to induce now or if it can wait until the 12th.
Part of me just wants this over but, a bigger part of me wants her to come on her own. Bring on the contractions!!
Washing baby blankets and baby clothes and trying to get everything ready for when our little bundle arrives.
I'm ready...really really really ready. :p
We had our 36 week sonogram and check up today. Sonogram shows her weighing in at approx. 5lbs 14oz. Healthy and cute. :) It also confirmed that she has her little foot hooked into the left side of mommy's rib cage...bugger. Guess she's running out of room to stretch.
My blood pressure is fine as are my sugars. She has gained the perfect amount of weight over the last 3 weeks.
Was due for swabs today and the doctor asked, "Do you want me to check your cervix?"
I said, "Sure, why not." of course I'm expecting nothing....wrong.
Doc says, "Well then, you're 2cm dilated and 80% effaced. I wasn't expecting that."
Well hell, neither was I. Basically what this means is baby girl could decide to show up any day now. :) The doctor is perfectly ok with it and told us to get ready, she's probably coming sooner rather than later.
YAY....YIKES....YAY....YIKES. lol

 Oh yay! You'll be absolutely fine, honey. Absolutely. I cannot wait until you welcome her, and the three of you are in a hug. ♥
We might have the baby with us in the baby shower. Yeah! :D Be safe.
Keeping you and the wee one in the positive thought and prayer corner!
Is it strange that my cat has a "woobie"? I was sitting in the Seattle airport freezing my butt off and decided instead of freezing maybe I should go buy a blanket. When said blanket arrived in the apartment Lucy claimed it. There is absolutely nothing special about this thing. It's not soft, thick, nothing...but she kneads that thing into her perfect little sleeping spot, lays down, and has very contented cat dreams. It's really kind of cute coming from our "I'm too cool" cat. :p
Moving back to Buffalo just had another expense tacked onto it. We need to buy a refrigerator, stove and at some point a washer and dryer. Oi Vey....not an expense we were planning for.

o.o Second hand?
We may do the fridge second hand but, the cook in me won't settle for just any stove. :p I have to find what I want.
There is always Craigslist to find some of those things, and friends willing to help.
As soon as I get the plumbing issues settled, we will have a working washer and dryer here.
And we're better company than random people at a laundromat.
I'm really having a hard time coming up with my gratitude for the past couple of days. Even if I can come up with the words I'm not feeling it. Is there such a thing as pre-term depression? That is where I'm at.
This pregnancy has been going beautifully up until about 2 weeks ago. I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes and initially took it really hard. I thought I hard accepted it, thought I was ok with it. Until I went to the class yesterday. Now I'm being told how, when, and what I have to eat. If I don't, I risk my health and hers. It's a lot of pressure.
I just wanted a "normal", "uncomplicated" pregnancy. I have 5 weeks left...it feels like an eternity. I'm tired. I'm tired of my feet swelling to 3 times their size. I'm tired of crying and not being able to stop. I'm tired of peeing all the time. I'm just tired in general.
So, I'm trying to find my gratitude. I'm just having a tough time finding it and justifying it.

That can happen. Depression prior to having the baby. I had it and the doctor said if it happens it usually starts 4-8 weeks before having the baby and usually goes away over a few weeks to a month after delivery. It's the hormones, love.
Know that I'm sending you love. And the strength to put one foot right in front of the other no matter how hard that is. I believe in you, so use that and the love we all have for you.

my beautiful daughter is 12 now and although the teen thing has kicked in its all worth it, Good luck to you and your to be daughter, make sure you rest lots before hand as you may have to wait another 18years for that again,
Yep, I get to stay home. I officially started maternity leave this week. 6 weeks to go until our due date and we're going to spend the rest of that time getting the house ready and not being stressed out by work. :)
