After Our Recent Holiday Celebrating our indepence as a country several things have entered this mind of mine to be thought upon. In our current state of affiars as a U.S citizen I find this holiday currently to be hypocritical of our current standing as a people. We are a nation founded on a government for the people by the people and of the people. Several media productions have led to pointing out this fatal flaw as we have gone. V for vendetta, the movie; We are by ani difranco among various others. We have lost the essence of that which made us american to begin with . Maybe it's time we took a look as not only philosophers and thinkers, the working class struggling to get by in a difficult economic time, but also as a proud people. "Pride goeth before the fall"
