Whispering in his ear
He feels the beats throbbing from her outstretched hand.
“For you my love” she says,
“But be careful it’s fragile.
Store it away somewhere special,
Somewhere close,
And as long as it beats
I’ll be there with you.
The years have been rough,
It’s the price paid for openness.
Shattered, battered, broken
And still on the mend,
I’m entrusting it to you, my closest friend.
I don’t ask much in return
Just that you don’t replace it
Or forget it,
O and please be careful it’s fragile.”

Nice! The way this is written is delicate - 'fragile'.
