I will remember you,

without regret.

Holding onto you with hands of mist through time.

Your velvet voice smooth and easy flows throughout my spectral mind.

I will remain with you,

the keeper of my soul.

A thousand years of changing lives,

erases not such passioned ties.

I will belong to you,

in a world beyond.

My spirit anxious, existing on the only heart which beats in time,

with the one that I must leave behind.

My heart aches for the smoldering sound of your words,

though I have only heard your voice from a millenium away.

My heart trembles from the force of your touch,

though your flesh has never meshed with my own.

Your dark eyes penetrate my soul,

though they have never reached beyond the screen before me.

We are desperate beings, trapped within the restraints of reality,

longing for a heart, a touch, a breath of what others are aforded.

Time and space lend no favors to beings such as we.

But we exist just the same.

We desire just as much.

Our love goes beyond all reason, all rhyme.

We are the worlds most tragic loss.

We are the ache of what was, and could have been.

The last of my hours leave me wanting,

for the soul which lay just beyond my grasp.

My breath once so easily drawn,

labors thick within the shell that is left.

I want what this world never gave me,

and I crave for the touch of the flesh,

that not once felt the warmth of my body,

And for that cause, my soul never rests.
